"This was our 3rd visit to HopMonk Tavern. Other 2 visits were excellent with no issues with food or service. However this time, there were several issues they ran out of several items that I ordered, and these were the results.... I had Taco appetizer and the kitchen substituted 2 chicken tacos for the pulled pork without telling my waiter or me; the chicken on the tacos was dry and tasteless. I also had the Caribbean coleslaw , which the kitchen substituted the same coleslaw that was on my tacos without telling my waiter or me, and the coleslaw wasn't good on its own. They ran out of the french onion soup that I ordered, but they were able to make some more, but it was under seasoned, and I suspect made for the next day, but it was good enough, so I ate it. They had a big party outside, and I suspect that they could not handle the volume. Our waiter was excellent, and apologized and took the offending items off of our bill. We will give this restaurant one more chance, but if we have issues like this again, we won't be back."
