"To add to our disappointment, there were no desserts available except for some mediocre, store-bought cupcakes that appeared to be leftover from their high tea service. It was also strange that we couldn't order hot tea or coffee. While it was enjoyable to dine in an old mansion, the venue itself feels quite rundown, and it was odd that we were the only customers present. The restaurant's website certainly doesn't reflect the reality of the place.
There were only two staff members working, and it felt very sparse. When our salad arrived, it was served with whole vegetables rather than being chopped. The special house-made dressing tasted like mayonnaise mixed with balsamic vinaigrette, which was not appetizing. On a positive note, the chicken and steak were fairly good, and the vegetables were delicious, but the mashed potatoes were clearly old—dry, crusty, and unappetizing.
Overall, this is a unique location, but it seems like the restaurant is struggling. I genuinely hope that business picks up and that they can stay open! I'm not trying to be negative; I just wish to provide constructive feedback. Additionally, the food prices were quite reasonable."
