"The food is great, but there's a 3.9% surcharge for credit card payments. I’d like to point out that according to New York General Business Law §518, sellers are not allowed to impose extra charges on customers who choose to pay with a credit card instead of cash, check, or other payment methods. If a seller violates this law, they could face a misdemeanor charge, which carries a fine of up to $500 or a potential jail time of up to one year, or both."
