"We came here because I thought my 6yo would enjoy the atmosphere and the idea of a tea party. The place looks dated inside which I didn’t expect. There are some Alice and Wonderland elements, but there was also fairies on the walls and photos of a dark haired woman with a blue dress sitting at a table having a party with some friends. I guess suppose to represent the them but my daughter didn’t get it. There was a quote from the book painted at the top of the wall around the room. The back room had red and white roses. The bathroom area in my opinion was the most Alice themed with large quotes, paintings on the doors and a Cheshire smile on the mirror. Inside the bathroom was a painting that maybe is suppose to represent a modern inclusive Alice themed characters? It was people wearing costumes. Again, my daughter didn’t get it. The scores were yummy. I liked the tea, though it did get cold fast and I was never asked if I needed it warmed or a fresh pot. Our server was kind but only came by maybe once after we got our food. I liked the sandwiches. The chocolate mouse was terrible, both texture and flavor. It almost had a nesquick taste and the texture was way off. It was topped by a large amount of whip cream and colored sprinkles. The macarons weren’t good at all which was sad because that is my daughter’s fav treat. She got a huge chocolate chip cookie and barely ate any because it was very hard and not great. She did love the apples and Nutella. When we came in, they did give my daughter fairy wings to wear (so fun but not really wonderland themed? and then asked if she wanted to make a fairy wish told her to close her eyes and they sprinkled glitter over her head. But since her eyes were closed she didn’t even know what happened. This place had great reviews and on a lot of “must do” lists but I just don’t see the hype. There was a leaky ceiling tile that was just duct taped over. I think they are past due for a major update and improvements on the desserts. Our server was friendly and so was the hostess so that was nice. Oh, and we arrived at 10:59 for a 11:00 reservation. Right at 11, the girl unlocked the door and walked away even though she could see my family and another couple were waiting. I just thought the polite thing to do would be to open and welcome us in."
