"RACIST MANAGEMENT. I arrived with a coworker (white, male) on 3/30/22 around 11pm. Plenty of seating and ordered with a very nice waitress just a few minutes after being sat down. After 10 minutes of waiting the waitress told me I would not be served and that I would have to leave not indicating anything to the coworker I was with. When I asked why she stated it was due to not paying at their sister bar ?Mad Dog? Having the receipts I told her that?s not a problem this was just a simple miscommunication and please get the manager so we can sort things out. The manager, a mid 30?s white woman approached the table and told me that I would have to leave or police would be called. I asked her why and she restated it was due to not paying for my tab at their sister bar. I told her it was a miscommunication and took both receipts out I had along with showing the charges made to my card from ?mad dog pub? She grabbed both threw them on the floor and said ?I don?t care, honestly, we?re not serving you here? When my coworker asked if he was being asked to leave as well she said no he can stay. This is the most unprofessional and disgusting lounge I?ve ever been to with the way I was treated because of my race. I?ve attached 2 photos showing my receipts. To management, I hope you fire her before You get sued for her discrimination."

"I've always loved the food at Dimartino's, but my experience today was disappointing. I ordered a shrimp po-boy, which is usually fantastic, but this time it was only $17 for a sandwich that was at least 2 inches shorter than usual and came with gumbo and potato salad. I wouldn't have minded the size if the bread hadn't been as hard as a hockey puck. While the shrimp were flavorful, they were few and far between. It seems either there's a lack of quality control, or the restaurant has really gone downhill."

"Today was my first time visiting. I was super excited to try the food. We were greeted immediately and seated. The server Susan walked over got our drink order. Then our real server comes inside from smoking her cigarette and swiftly seat at the table with us. Hands all over the table... Absolutely I have a problem with this. I requested the woman who came to us first to continue serving us. We sat for a while waiting for her to return. Finally I just got up and asked someone to inform her we were ready to order. The seafood dip was delicious. The Shrimp Cajun pasta came piping hot and was very tasty. The Chicken Cajun Pasta I ordered came a little cool. It took a super long time for her to come back and see if everything was okay. While sitting waiting for things to happen an employee shows up for work. He quickly get prepared for his shift. A few minutes go by and then he sit down to eat. He goes from eating to seating people and digs in his ear and never washes his hands or use hand sanitizer. The servers aren't attentive enough. The food was great everything else was horrible. I was convinced to try them again because I was looking at this place with a server eye and not a regular patron. With a new start and open mind, I gave a it a real chance. The service was okay, I could tell he was a new server. He did his best to answer questions and if he didn't know he found out and I appreciate that. Definitely worked well with small kids and made them feel important. I'm just going to say I am not a big fan of their menu options. Some of the ingredients the kitchen went way too heavy on. Helpful tip, just because someone doesn't want something does not mean load their plate up with garnish or go heavy on another ingredient. Too much ruins the dish. The apps were good and hot, no complaints there."

"I had a wonderful experience in ordering in Cathy's Kitchen and would recommend giving the restaurant an attempt. After my apartment was flooded by record rain, I lived in a room in dormitory for a week and ate peanut butter. I finally broke and ordered real food for delivery, and it was not disappointed. This meal was a great bright spot for me in an otherwise terrible week, and I am grateful for it. Thanks Cathy's Kitchen! I ordered the chicken and sausage paste at the end of lunch, and everything was wonderful. I got my order within 30 minutes, it was treated with care, and for the first delivery in probably half a year everything I ordered was present and with any changes I requested. The taste was excellent, it was nice and hot when I got it, and despite the packaging make it look a little small visual, I was surprised that a 6'6, 300 pounds guy like I ended up deciding it would be a full meal plus a snack. I don't know how much food I got, but it was much more than it looked at first glance. 5 stars for my experience with your restaurant. I will submit future orders as soon as I become more financially stable after my flooding. Thanks again for an excellent experience!"

"I usually come here everytime I come from Rosenberg tx.. An the food An service is usually ok most of the time. But today I came in placed my drink order an the waitress brought my kids drinks with her fingers all inside of the cup holding them from the rims. An I told her that's not sanitary. An she sad she was sorry an as she turned away she rolled her eyes at me like I was in the wrong for telling her not to put her fingers in people's drinks. Smh. I will never come here again. "My husband and I visited this restaurant for our first anniversary last weekend. We have been here twice before the renovation, and the new decor is refreshing and beautiful! The food was, as always, exceptional and unique. The oysters were perfectly prepared, both raw and chargrilled, and the boudin balls were a must-have – we even asked for extra pickles! We both ordered the flounder dish "DIRTY," which comes with BBQ shrimp. It was the best of both worlds! Our server, Jose, was a delight – he was fun and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning, and next time we will specifically ask for Jose. You have to give this place a try!"

"If you're looking for a decent-sized po'boy sandwich, I suggest checking out another place. The portions here are overpriced, and I was really let down by both the size and quality. For over $13, I would have expected much more—honestly, it felt more like a $6 sandwich at best. If you want the best value for a po'boy, I recommend Fort Ramsay in Vancleave (a gas station!). Overall, I'm giving it a 2 out of 5 for food."

"Came here on a Sunday for dinner because most other bar/restaurants close in early afternoon. Menu is extremely limited to mostly sandwiches. My wife got a Chicken Fried Steak sandwich without the bread. They didn't offer any type of gravy to take away the dryness because it was exceedingly so. My French Dip sandwich had chunks of meat instead of slices like I've experienced for decades. The chunks of meat were near impossible to keep in bread and would mostly fall into the juice. "Lots of recommendations from the local NSU football parents to try this place. Came on a Friday night at 8pm. No wait, plenty of tables. Greeted by a friendly host who sat us at our table. Ordered a smoky old fashion. sooooooo good. Appetizers were chargrilled oysters and gator bites. Had to try something new like gator. Tastes like chicken. Really yummy. Chargrilled oysters were good but a bit salty. They needed Tabasco but we were told they don’t have any. Isn’t that a Louisiana thing? Dinner was shrimp grits for the boys, Cajun pasta for me. Shrimp grits were good. Again, needed Tabasco. They do have Louisiana hot sauce but not the same. Cajun pasta had good flavor but was really salty. I said something to the waitress and her only reply was “yes, as we get older we need to watch our salt consumption.” Um, ok! No room for dessert but they did sound amazing! Next time I’ll bring my own Tabasco because we WILL be back often!"

"Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was terrible, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling. The menus were filthy, and there were stacks of clutter on tables in the corners, not to mention the dirty floor. We received a menu with prices scratched out, only to be told it wasn’t the correct one. The second menu had prices altered, and they didn’t correspond with what was actually charged. The food was outrageously overpriced—$50 for two plates without any drinks! The ribs tasted as if they had just come out of the oven and were slathered in barbecue sauce. I learned my lesson: I should have left as soon as I saw the mess on the tables. I will definitely not be returning."
