"I usually have a pleasant experience here but today I was shocked by how my friend and I were treated. Every time I happen to pass by Colectivo, I see people sitting on the outdoor patio with their dogs so I thought that today, I would bring my pug for the first time. My friend and I had brought a drink from earlier at Starbucks to run errands with and we were meaning to purchase an item from here as well, which is the whole reason why we came, but we got caught up in conversation as we sat down outdoors. My dog was very well behaved and didn 't make a peep until a much larger dog saw him and started barking at him, to which mine started barking back. That 's when a staff member of Colectivo came outdoors and began to yell at us in front of everybody sitting in the patio. I completely understand that you have to purchase from Colectivo to sit at their tables, and I did not know about the no-dogs policy because like I said, I always saw them here (not to mention I often see students studying here with their sweetgreen salads). However, I didn 't think it was necessary to yell at us and use such a standoff-ish and sassy tone when instead, you could politely inform us of your store policies and ask us to leave. But the staff member proceeded to speak to us very rudely and spat and THAT 'S why as he pointed at my dog and turned around to go back inside because my dog had started to bark at him. My dog is very protective of me and will bark at any person who acts with hostility towards me, so of course if he sees a person not treating me nicely he will warn the person to back off. To avoid further drama we quickly left without being able to purchase anything. I understand that I am not completely in the right here since I unknowingly broke store policy, but did they really have to treat us so poorly? To the person who came and raised your voice at us, i don 't know if you 're usually like this or if you were just not in the best mood and decided that you would release some frustration onto me and my friend, but I hope you have a better day and learn to treat your customers and people in general with more kindness."
