"Update-12/9/23: Second time ordering. The wontons in the soup had almost no filling. But the pork with string beans was SO good! The shrimp lo mein was alright. The mapo tofu didn’t have much flavor. I liked the chicken chow mein. First review- They forgot our egg roll but other than that it was good. Portions are good for most things. We got the beef and broccoli, basil chicken and shrimp, house chow mein, pork lo mein, plain fried rice, wonton soup, hot and sour soup. Everything was good. The lomein was a little dry but I liked the pork that was in it. The fried rice is super plain, no egg or veg. I wish they had meifun (thin rice noodles) like other places. The wontons in the soup barely had any filling. But this will probably be where I order from in the future. They need to fix their Grubhub wing options. It only lets you choose orange or tso when they have other options on their site."

"The food was good. My wife found a one i,cu chicken bone with a sharp point. This bone was sure to get stuck in someone's throat and prove lethal. My daughter then found another huge chicken bone and nearly chocked. I would suggest to be very careful when eating anything chicken. On the other hand, avoid ordering anything chicken and be safe."

"I highly recommend this restaurant if you have ever enjoyed American Chinese take-out. I call it American Chinese because after traveling around China for a few months, I found the food here to be quite different from traditional Chinese cuisine in the US. While they do offer Asian vegetable appetizers and tofu dishes, what really impressed me were their Meatless Chicken options, specifically dishes #52 through #56. We tried the #54 General Tsao Meatless Chicken and #55 Orange/Sesame Meatless Chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. I am looking forward to coming back to try the #Kung Pao Meatless Chicken as well. I haven't had flavors like these since I was a child and went vegetarian many years ago. I have been living abroad for over five years now, so having these nostalgic dishes was a real treat for me. I hope they eventually offer vegan beef and pork options, as I think a Meatless Mongolian Beef dish would be fantastic. The manager confirmed that the dishes I tried were indeed vegan, and assured me that they do not contain any honey or animal products. I'm not certain if all their vegetable dishes are vegan or just vegetarian, but the staff is friendly and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. In my opinion, this restaurant is a must-try if you are in the area."

"This restaurant is fantastic! We traveled from Orange County for a concert and planned to eat on Sunset, but this was the only place without a wait. We sat at the sushi bar and tried around five different dishes. The chef was very knowledgeable about the fresh options and recommended a couple of chef's specials. Everything was fresh and delicious. The food was amazing and, surprisingly, we only spent $47 for the entire meal, including sake. We left feeling completely satisfied!"

"If you like your Chinese food like you like your telenovelas (saucy) then you would like Hong’s Kitchen. Quiet no frills restaurant with one waitress and a small kitchen near the beach with a few booths and a few larger round tables that can easily seat 8 people comfortably. Was surprised they have a lamb section for such a small restaurant and the two lamb dishes were delicisioso. Order white rice by the serving to go with all your sauciness. Cash only, your credit card is unworthy here."

"I'm sad to say that this place was not good. It was my first time here and last. I ordered the shrimp chow mein. The noodles were good but the shrimp was lacking flavor and not fresh. My friend ordered the general chicken which is supposed to be spicy and sweet but, it was neither. The sauce was runny and salty. I don't do well with spicy food and can attest it was not spicy at all. Not even pepper seasoning spicy. The worst dish of all was the walnut shrimp, it had an old unpleasant taste as if it had been sitting there all day. My friend tried one shrimp and spit it out. It came in a bed a raw broccoli, the Walnuts were plain not candied, it seemed the sauce was poured over the shrimp so some were not coated and the shrimp was boiled not fried. And to add to the damage it was $22 for this plate alone. We spoke to the owner who did not like the criticism and instead blamed us. She insisted that the food was fresh even though we got it within minutes of ordering. She refused to remove the walnut shrimp from the bill and only offered something else but still charge for the walnut shrimp. There is no point in arguing with someone who is in denial. We paid the bill and left. As a business owner I would never treat my customers this way. I use customers reviews and criticism to better my product. Unless this lady does the same, I don't see this place open for much longer."

"Terrible Food! It's been years that I have been to this restaurant, that was good many years back.. The food is NOT good anymore. I purchased the lamb fried rice, the lamb was extremely hard and a lot of bones instead of meat. The meat was definitely very old! The broccoli and garlic tasted like they added a ton of sugar in it, nasty tasting food. Watered-down drinks. They also have a tacky posting at every table, stating their is a 20% charge for tips on all dine in checks."
