"Its a very pricy and overrated Indian restaurant with average taste (especially for vegetarian options . Salt was less in all the 4 dishes we ordered Hara bara kabab, Cauliflower 65, Methi chaman veg gravy (24$ and biryani. Even the chutney/onion thatwe ask for the starters has to be purchased. I heard from the people that the ambience was fabulous but I felt it was OK! Thereare many other indian restaurants with better ambience in NJ. The only attraction of this restuarant was the Robos, that bringsthe food to our table. Btw, I am the big fan of Deccan spice at Jersey city, ignoring the ambience."

"a beautiful restaurant. not full, but the service was a little slow. but everyone was super friendly. eating was good, but there is an Indian restaurant in the opposite where we live (muyuri indian bistro,) that I feel is more attractive to our palate. therefore I cannot call this the best Indian restaurant in connecticut. not at all. "This is the best Indian food place in CO by far! Biki has always taken amazing care of us, great service always with a big smile! "Tried this for the first time today. After a long night and craving some tasty Indian food, we found out our usual place was closed. This is much closer and I am so glad we tried it! However the dish itself tasted great! Garlic Naan GN x 2 $8.00 Naan is fresh, garlicky and a smidge chewy but not in a bad way. Less fluffy, more stretchy, if that makes sense Mix Vegetable Curry Vegan $17.95 Spicy $0.25 Tasty, good portion, nice variety of veggies Baingan Bhurta vegan $17.95 Medium $0.00 This is an eggplant dish, and I loved it! I was looking for something similar to this stuffed eggplant dish I get and this was similar, and very very good. Comes with yogurt sauce on this side. Good size portion. Chicken Dum Biryani $16.95 Spicy $0.25 HEFTY!! Great for the price. The chicken is bone on, but that so it adds flavor. The spice is right for sure! I would say this is like Indian fried rice . Lots of flavor lots of stuff really really good. I chose the spiciest version and it 's the perfect amount of heat if you like spicy. A little too hot for him, but I really enjoyed it. Saag Aloo curry ALU $17.95 Medium $0.00 By far my favorite. Yes it 's green, but if you like spinach and potatoes, you 're gonna love it. Good portion here as well. Aloo Kale Tikki 3 Pcs $6.95 I wasn 't the biggest fan of these. They are sweet in flavor. My boyfriend really liked them. They 're little potato and kale patties with a type of chutney esque sauce on top. You get three to an order, which is a little up there. We did a take out order, and picked it up. Inside was nice and smelled great. You can sit down or take out, there are servers if you want to dine in. The owner who gave us our order was extremely personable and helpful! I think we found another great Indian spot! The only downside is that it 's more expensive than our usual place. It is also odd that they charge more for spice level, but we did like it a lot. I know that this type of cuisine takes an eternity to make, and there are a lot of ingredients but it is certainly up there price wise."

"Delicious. Just wanted to note that they have three separate locations. It's just a preference of mine but I find the Michigan location with better tasting food. This is not to say that the other locations don't prepare the food well, they most certainly do and there are no issues. On-site parking at all locations is a pain unless you're just there for delivery pick-up. Prepare to take public transportation if you want the dine in experience. This place is really pricey for my taste but for a craving once in a while it's worth it. If you order from their website they sometimes offer discounts just for it being an online order. Uber eats offers a thing where if you order a number of times your last order will be free, which is also nice. Highly recommend it if you are new to Indian and Nepalese cuisine."

"As far as Indian cuisine eatery goes, it's alright. It's not quite what you would expect in a true British Indian, but not bad for the US. Food was average to good, my lamb rogan josh was actually very tasty, not spicy but tasty. However, my wife's vegetable curry was too bland, no spicy or heat in it whatsoever! Would I go back, not really. If I was dragged along by some friends, I would happily join too though."

Only one type of Roti bread, only chicken for meat every other place I see Two varieties of nonveg chicken and goat or fish and food taste was average, not the Akbar food that I experienced much earlier. Many other places give a much much larger spread, more so on a weekend. Silver lining is that there were few customers that meant no wait time like at other restaurants"

"Do not go to Bombay Velvet. First the good … The space is nice though the chairs are way too low to comfortably eat. The wait staff seems attentive. However, the food is overpriced, tiny, and mediocre to poor in flavor. I spent $250 for 4 people with no dessert or alcohol and we all left hungry! One $15 appetizer consisted of the equivalent of 8 crackers standing in a bed of dry rice with 3 Tablespoons of chutney. It made me sad just looking at it. My fish was over $30 for about 3 ounces of a bland filet with about half a cup of rice. Ridiculous. Then, they tag 20% service charge automatically. We were a table of 4! It was so dark that I didn’t notice it and clearly overtipped and the server did not clarify if I wanted to double tip. No one responded when I contacted the restaurant to rectify it. My recommendation… go to Bollywood Bistro vice this pretentious, unscrupulous establishment. Unless , of course, you enjoy eating crappy, micro portions by a wait staff who could care less about their customers as long as they are getting paid."

"What can I say about food that is served from the heart, no adjective can do justice, we were visiting Denver for fall break and found this little gem, we were so glad we found such authentic Indian fare in Denver that we visited this place every single day we were there. We had barota kurma which was a flavor bomb, we had it multiple times, we also tried the potato fry, okra kaara kuzhambu and a humongous chicken sukka and Navratan kurma.I cannot fault them in any way, so very flavorsome, the servings were so generous and served with passion. The service was great too. If you live in Denver or if you are passing by, do visit this place, you will definitely go again and again. This is a gem that cannot be missed. We hope to come again sometime soon..."

"buyer intention! not allergy friendly! we ordered us yesterday by door dash and was wasted $40 on eating that was indelible. my family has a milk allergy and I clearly demand in my order that every product gluten-free, vegan and mild. when I got the order, I thought it looked suspicious, so I called to check and safe enough these dishes included milk! also the fertile piclau was ice cold as if they forget to heat the dish before they send (which also means that they probably microwave to go food in styrofoam first I thought the fertile piclau should be served chilled, but the keerl on the phone nandu confirmed that it should have been heated and also confirmed that despite my requirements contain more milk. he was quite abrupt and has not apologized or offered to correct any of the mistakes. as if he just wanted me from the phone and it didn't matter that they ruined our dinner, wasted our money and made my family very sick by including milk in our food, despite the notes on the order. that a dish that allegedly contained no milk was the mushroom mother, but even this was disappointing when the veggies tasted as they came out of doses and it was very spicy for a court that was asked mildly. so many problems with this order, makes me wonder everything about this restaurant. if they are not careful with preparation of food, how cautious are they when they clean and sanitate their kitchen? I'm completely dissatisfied with eating and customer service. I was not offered a refund or a refund or even an apology! such a frustrating experience and a total waste of time and money."

"Good food, we're new Indian food, but really enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly. 7 out of ten was not really so sharp on the palate, but I could feel the fire in my stomach. We tried 2 of the full meal options. The chicken and lamb curry were very tasteful. We're coming back! We went back, got Curry chickens and Masala chickens. They are larger portions than the combo, more chicken. We both got 7 spices and thought to try 10 next time. We like it hot! Oh, the flavors were incredible! Service is always fast and friendly!"

"Went here for dinner, and had two entrees to share as well as an order of Samosa. The Samosa was delicious, especially the spice mix they dusted the outside with, and the chutneys were so bright and the flavor was incredible. The entrees I tried were the Chana Masala and Bhuteko Kauli which is a cauliflower dish with Nepalese spices. Both were surprisingly light and the flavors of the Bhutako were so vibrant. Unfortunately the waiter wasn't knowledgeable about which items were vegan and there was a language barrier for sure. He asked a colleague and they brought a menu that they had circled the vegan options on which was very nice, but I wish I had looked at the menu online because there were more options, and they were clearly marked. Too bad; missed opportunity for sure."

"Ambrosia is about as good and Indian cuisine that you could ask for in this vicinity. The Garlic Naan is super buttery. The Samosas are large and flavorful. The Butter Chicken is a really sweet treat. I had the Traditional Curry Lamb which had a wonderful sauce, however I found the meat especially though. Service is super attentive and very helpful too. "We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"I ordered $58 dollars worth of food this afternoon and I decided to go with a smaller, local place, in order to support the community. I could have gone to the nicer looking restaurant a few miles away but I gave this place a chance despite all the negative reviews. Well, there will be no second chance at this place for me. 1) The food was poorly packaged. They put everything except the rice into little plastic soup containers, so the heat caused the container to puff up and basically POP open and spill. 2) I ordered 4 containers of mulligatawny soup, What I got was some strange, thin, watery soup, that had whole peas, sliced lemons and little hard bits of this that in it. I was picking this debris out of my mouth for an hour afterwards. Basically the soup tasted more like lemon water. I guess that was their way of hiding the taste of whatever that soup was really made with because it sure wasn't lentils. Indian food and Asian food is my absolute favorite and I've eaten Mulligatawny soup from 18 different states and 5 countries, so I know what Mulligatawny soup is supposed to taste like. 3) I ordered Lamb curry and instead they gave us goat meat. A few pieces floating around in a pool of juice and curry gravy. The Garlic naan bread was herbed and nice. The chicken tikki masala was just okay. And with all the gravy they gave us instead of meat, they could have been a little generous with the rice, which was about 4 spoons of rice in an aluminum takeout container.Don't go to this place. It will make people who are new to Indian cuisine think that this is how Indian food is supposed to taste. Go the extra mile (literally), and drive someplace with better quality food, better service and a more accurate Indian menu."

"I love their food, but it doesn’t like me, so we only order once in a while. Something in Indian Food I am allergic to??? We used to order from them a LOT, but now I know I cannot, so it is a treat when we do (with me eating it in very small portion size( I remember eating at this place years ago when they served their food on paper plates and the tables were lined up like a high school cafeteria! I was not impressed with the feel of the place or the food at that time. Now they remodeled it and it is beautiful and of course we cannot experience eating inside because of Covid. So, I am glad they are doing well with Carry Out orders."
