"I’m excited to explore new cuisines, and this restaurant has been on my list. However, Arepa doesn’t quite live up to the hype that many reviews have suggested. While it's tasty, it’s not extraordinary enough to make you say "OMG" with the first bite. The service was average, especially for a morning visit when it wasn’t very busy. I believe they should focus on improving their service, as it seems to be a common complaint among patrons."

"delicious eating in a small, charming environment in downtown decatur. the noise level was a bit loud, but what would they expect at the silvester? our waiter was very attentive, but could only use a little polish (he could have been a little new for the restaurant industry.) overall we had a really nice meal and they have extremely cheap prices. we will definitely be so delicious again for eating!"

"Lovely interior, fantastic atmosphere with a nice homely feel. High quality food (our Arepas were SO GOOD) and excellent and friendly service. My friend and I felt right at home at Caracas (having made it a point to eat here during our trip from Massachusetts after looking for hidden food gems and deciding on here and it certainly was/is one) and would recommend it to anyone coming from out of town."

"The margaritas were delicious, the guacamole and fried queso were so satisfying, the arepa was fresh, full of flavour and texture, and the chicken soup was smooth and perfectly seasoned. The service was great and the server was patient, friendly and explained everything so well. She recommended the playa deluxe, amongst others, and it was very good. Thanks for the great food, wonderful service and energetic atmosphere."
