"This is one of my favorite place to eat in the Heights. Their tacos are some of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. When you dine in you can expect free chips and salsa! The meat is tender and flavorful. Always consistent every time I have the chance to go. Street parking only. Best chance to find a spot is probably off Central at least during the day."

"Do not come here. I ordered some take-out when I go to pay it goes through but then the lady says it didn't,even though it said transaction completed. So she ran my card again she says it denied. So I paid with another card she says it goes through, when I get home I checked my account and the transaction went through. I called and told them that transaction went through they were like talk to your bank. So for basically 3 sushis I got charged 100 plus dollars. I go back to the restaurant so they could make it right. Worse customer service she said nothing was going to be done that she even asked the owner Carlos Sanchez is what she said his name was. And to make matters worse she thought I was someone else saying name Roberto so this exactly happen to them as well. So basically this happen to another person and they know about it and nothing being done. If I was you I wouldn't go to this restaurant they will charge you twice. Becareful and when you confront them about it and show them they did charge you twice her response is oh well. I asked for the owner which she called you think he made it right nope. Worse restaurant your going to go to food not even that great and get charged double. Be warn would give zero stars"

"Tried ordering through the phone and the lady said she would only take if I had a card. I told her I was paying cash and they I will be there but she insisted it would not take more than 10 min and to order there. My husband goes and she says to him after he charges him it will take 15 to 30 min instead!!!!! I call her because I am home with our VERY hungry kids and she says I never told you 10 min and acted surprised i even mentioned it. Never again will I go here. They were straight to asking where is my card over the phone and lie till they tale your card. Horrible service and bland food and didnt even give me the extra sauce I asked for. Never going here AGAIN."

"The staff here is truly wonderful, and the atmosphere is vibrant, but I struggle to understand why anyone would choose to dine at this restaurant. The shrimp empanada contained just a single piece of shrimp, and while the steak skewers were cooked to perfection, they lacked any seasoning whatsoever. I would definitely return with the mindset of visiting a sports bar simply to enjoy a drink and catch a game. However, if you're in search of authentic Colombian cuisine, I recommend trying one of the many other Colombian restaurants in the area."

"I've lived in the area my whole life and I've never been here. What a surprise!!!These restaurants are the best. A hole in the wall with amazing food. The restaurant is small located right on the corner of Hoover and 18th st.Street parking is available. I had no issues with that. There are a couple of tables set up outside. This restaurant is also a bakery. It looks like they have a great selection of bread available. They also have QR code posted for convenient ordering.I ordered the Two taco and Tamale Combo. The tacos were Cochinita Pibil. The Cochinita Pibil was very tender, juicy and flavorful. The lady working offered extra habanero sauce. That just amplified the flavor. The perfect amount of spice. The tamale I picked was very similar to the Central American tamales. I personally loved it. Will be coming back."

"The food is usually good. I've been buying food from them for a long time. However, lately, they have refused to serve me because I have certain allergies, and I put a note with my order. However, this hadn't been a problem in the past. The last 3 times I tried to place an order, the restaurant said they were out of the dish I ordered. Today, I called from my husband's phone after my order was canceled. Only to find out that they did have what I tried to order.They also have a couple of waitresses with a nasty attitude. Not common for the type of people the restaurant hires.My family and I have been buying and eating food there for years. I would hate to see this new trend continue. Our family is not going back for starters"

"I've rated them a 4 star for now. Only because the waitress was really, really nice and professional. When was very attentive and knowledgable. The food was amazing!!! Yet, I will have to say... that we have to go back another time and see what their service is like when they aren't being inspected. I only say this because they let us know that the inspectors were there and asked if we were in a rush. This led me to feel as though they may have just been on their best behavior. So, I'll do another review when I go back by really like their food and I really like the waitress I made sure my husband slipped her more than 20%. It's imperative that we tip for great service because not only do we work hard and deserve great service, we also do our best to provide great service in our professional lives."

"We had the potatoes and a beef empanada and the sauce for both was delicious. We also had a sweet corn cake and it too was excellent. We had two main courses grouper with a red pepper sauce and beef with a sofrito. The main dishes came with two or three sides each all of which were prepared perfectly. The total bill for three appetizers, two main courses, and two beers was $60 complete bargain for food of this quality! The server was very attentive and the restaurant quiet. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"I've been ordering from Los Verdes' other location for years. So, when I saw they opened one closer to home I was so excited to check it out! The location is very nice and modern with a friendly staff. My fave item here has to be their chicken quesadillas. The quesadillas have the perfect ratio of chicken to cheese and are covered with a layer of salty potato chips and their house sauces. The sauces here are great too and pair extremely well with the quesadilla. They have pineapple, cilantro, and a red sauce which I can assume is similar to a Mayo-chup) that are all so yummy it's hard to pick just one! I recommend Los Verdes for a quick bite, after a night out, or a casual date night. They also have some great specials throughout the week like BOGO milkshakes which are delicious!"

"The food was so delicious that I completely forgot to take any pictures before diving in! They offer an outstanding mix of Cuban, Argentinian, and American cuisine, all made fresh from high-quality ingredients. The service was exceptionally friendly and upbeat. Although the interior has the vibe of a fast-food restaurant, the staff will take your order and serve you if you choose to dine in. It’s a comfortable environment, and the team is very personable and clearly proud of their establishment, which is evident in their service. There are so many items on the menu that I’m excited to try. What really stands out to me are the incredible flavor combinations—truly remarkable. I haven’t experienced anything like this since my deployment training in San Juan, Puerto Rico, back in the 90s. I can't wait to go back and savor more of their amazing menu. If you're a fan of fresh Latin cuisine or love garlic and chimichurri, this is the place for you!"

"I have been a regular customer of this restaurant for the past 4+ years. In general the food was very good when we started ordering here, and the service was as expected. However, in the last years this place is losing its touch. Not only the food is getting worse and worse, but the service is the worst. Just today, I ordered a parrillada de carne for taking out. When I arrived home, there was not beef (carne). I called immediately to report the problem. Even though they gave me the beef, they made me feel like I was stealing from them because according to them they put the meat in. Look your recording, guys! Looking forward for a genuine apology. On the other hand, as you can see in the pictures confirming the lack of beef plus the arepa was all burnt, yellow potatoes were rancid. At the end only the beef was very good."

"I visited this location for the first time yesterday at 11:30 am, although I've been to New Castle several times before. I attempted to order Al Pastor tacos, but they were unavailable, so I settled for the Bistec instead. While they were decent, I was a bit disappointed with the amount of meat given that these tacos cost $4.33 each when purchased in a set of three. I've been to other places that pile on the meat for $3 or less. Even hipster tacos in Philly are cheaper than that. The service was satisfactory."

"Honestly, a little bit over excessive, charging $10 more if you pay with a card. And guess what, you can’t even complain about it or point it out to them, because they’ll charge you another $10 for “being rude” to the employees. Anyone would be mad about that. You’re making us waste an extra $10 for a frita that takes more than 45 minutes to be done? The waitresses are really nice, but they take a little too long to attend you when you’re ready to pay."
