"Had a hankering for some Thai food today and decided to take out from Gin Thai Brasserie. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Low Carb Pad Thai, Steak Bites, Fresh Rolls and a Thai Iced Tea. Although we didn 't dine in, the restaurant was nice and clean. It 's on the small side, so seating could be limited around dinner time. The Fresh Roll (2pc) was filled with lots of fresh shredded veggies and a decent piece of tofu. It comes with peanut dipping sauce. They were very good and lived up to its name. All the reviews I read raved about the steak bites, so I had to try them... and I wasn 't impressed. It 's thinly sliced 'marinated ' beef, served with a citrus/chili dipping sauce. My wife and I both agree that what it lacked, was ANY flavor. Very bland. I wouldn 't order it again. My wife had the 'low carb ' Pad Thai. I didn 't have any, but she liked it and said she 'd order it again. Being low carb, there is only a very small amount of noodles, the rest of the 'bulk ' was made up of shredded veggies like cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts. Cooked like traditional Pad Thai in a familiar tasting sauce. She got it with chicken for an extra buck and there was a lot of it. I had the Pad See Ew. This is one of my favorite Thai dishes and GTB 's iteration was just as good as any other reputable Thai restaurant. Rice noodles, veggies and chicken, stir fried in a dark, sweet soy sauce. It was really good. I also had the Thai Iced Tea which, let 's be real only needed to do one thing, and that 's taste like Thai Iced Tea. It did. It was good sweet, creamy and tea y. Overall, with the exception of the disappointing steak bites, my family and I will eat at GTB again. The flavors are good and the ingredients taste fresh. The price per dish is similar to other Thai restaurants in the area and I was more than satisfied with size of all the portions. A solid 4 !"

"Took family who were visiting from out of town to dinner at Tokyo this weekend.. the restaurant was busy with it being Homecoming weekend. We were surprised at the poor service. The chef that came out cleaned out the teppinyaki grill splashed oil and lit it. As we were settling in to enjoy the show he proceeded to cook the meal with no more shoe/ flourish, put the food on our plates and moved on. We were shocked. We had come to the restaurant so our visitors could enjoy the experience. Coming to the food it tasted awful. We've been eating at this restaurant for years but the food had no taste at all the hibachi chicken that two of us ordered was served to us white in color, dry and with no flavor. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed and I told myself that this was the last time we were ever coming back to eat here."

"Updated review: After a few years, I decided to give this restaurant another chance and I was pleasantly surprised by both the generous portion sizes and the flavor. The quality of the meat seems superior to that of other places in the area. I’m also happy to say that my stomach hasn’t been upset this time. It looks like I’ll be coming back here again. I'll update this review if anything changes. I've increased my rating by two stars. The prices are great, the food is delicious, and the portions are ample. However, I have experienced stomach issues (diarrhea) every other time I've dined here in the past, so I won’t be returning."

"Nomad Bistro is one of our top Asian restaurants. The food is cooked so well and there’s so many interesting choices. It’s Halal and vegetable plant- friendly. Our favorite is the handmade noodles that are do fresh and tasty. The sauce and vegetables are delicious. We always order an extra one to take home. We love the tangy hot and sour soup and the crispy spring rolls as an appetizer. The crispy string beans are good too. We love the indoor cozy setting where you can look outside at the green grass and plants. The location in Long Beach is really nice. You can take a nice stroll on the paths after you eat. Enjoy every bite. See you there."

"We had a pleasant dining experience at a Chinese restaurant. We made a reservation online and arrived the day before to pre-order our dishes, ensuring they came out in the correct order. Chinese meals are best enjoyed in a specific order. We also requested water, forks, and extra napkins during our preorder, and everything was prepared and waiting for us at the table. We definitely plan on returning as the restaurant was bustling and the food kept coming out hot and fresh. The cooks definitely know what they are doing, as the food was delicious."

"Been taking out from here routinely for about a year and a half. Was very excited to finally find a quality Thai place in Cap, and one of the embarrassingly few places you can order past 8pm. Been a bit disappointed in the slide in quality over the past four months. Wrong orders, diminishing portions, very much mailing it in. Hope it turns around."

"I recently visited this Japanese restaurant twice, once on 04/21/2023 with my wife, and again on 05/05/2023 with my wife and some friends who are sushi and sashimi enthusiasts. The food was absolutely outstanding. The sashimi and sushi were exceptional, beyond my expectations. The rice bowl with fish roe was a bomb. The tempura was prepared in the traditional Japanese style with a thin, crunchy batter. However, the ice cream tempura was pretty standard. The oyster shot's flavor can vary depending on the season, but I found it pretty good. I would skip the oven-baked or fried fish next time, simply because I need more room in my stomach. The Cherry Blossom rice wine and Yuzu Beer were a bit on the sweet side, but still very enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant is not fancy, but it has an authentic feel that reminds me of Japanese restaurants in Japan. Most of the guests were families, and although it could get a bit noisy at times, it was still within an acceptable range. There were enough parking spaces available during my visit. The service was excellent, with all the waitresses being friendly, attentive, and quick. My wife and friends were 150% satisfied, and I am already planning to make some kind of occasion to dine at this restaurant again. On my next visit, I plan to order the following items: 1) Sashimi and sushi, including halibut, yellowtail toro, salmon toro, sweet shrimp, uni, giant scallop, and aji; 2) Rice bowl with fish roe; 3) Tempura; 4) Udon; and 5) Dassai 23 Junmai Daiginjo Sake, which I pre-ordered for my most recent visit on 05/05/2023. It was discounted from its usual $200 to $150. The discount may be an opening event or something ??? I will find out on my next visit."

"This restaurant has been one of my favorite take away foods. Yesterday was kind of disappointed when I received my food with small tub during dinner time. I called to the restaurant and a girl told me that it’s the standard tub. I told her that I usually order and it came with taller tub. Not only that, I received the rice that’s cook with too much water that doesn’t look too appetizing to me. Didn’t worth to pay for this dinner."

"I ordered 4 tonkotsu ramen - 2 spicy and 2 black - and spent about $70. The food was delicious, but I was disappointed with the containers. Two out of the four were broken from the bottom, causing the broth to spill everywhere. Fortunately, the bag did not leak. They should consider updating their containers for the broth."

"Bangkok Thai Restaurant deserves a solid 5 stars for the outstanding food and excellent service we received from our server, Brian, along with the dedicated chefs in the kitchen. We celebrated our daughter’s 31st birthday there, and as always, everything was perfect! The Tom Yum soup—one with chicken and the other with tofu—was a delightful start to the meal. The Thai Drunken Noodles, both the beef and tofu versions, were absolutely fantastic, and the Basil Stir Fry with tofu was also a big hit! As a wonderful surprise, Brian brought us a delicious chocolate cake with a candle, which made the celebration even more special. Our daughter really enjoyed the thoughtful gesture and generously shared some with us. The chocolate flavor and texture were perfectly balanced—absolutely YUMMY!"

"This is a more traditional vietnamese restaurant compared to its neighbor tamarind tree. I love coming here for their pho, and they have long been established here for a long time. My wife loves ordering their bun bo hue. The last time I came there, they were not very busy and had two waiters. We got seated very fast and were given a set of menus and two hot green teas. We each ordered a noodle dish and it came out within 5 minutes. Overall we love the tradition of this restaurant and how long it has been here. A vietnamese classic of the chinatown little saigon neighborhood."

"I went here on my husband’s birthday…ordered sweet sour prawns and garlic chicken. Garlic Chicken was so so not crispy at all..soggy still we had few pieces somehow . But Sweet Sour prawns was not good at all..it was only sweet not spur at all. After tasting both the Dish we didn’t feel like ordering any more.We just payed our respective bill and came out.The lady who was serving us followed us to the parking lot and from 100 meter away she started shouting no tip..no tip.. multiple times where is the tip.?She made us feel so embarrassed in parking lot in front of others. It was like she is going to forcefully make us pay for tip. It’s up to us whether we are willing to pay tip or not..and also it was not clean food place. Spoon and glass were dirty."

"Decided to take the risk and come here having read all the recent reviews, and wanted to write an honest, legitimate review. I have no idea what some people are talking about, this place is quite good! Not many options in SLC for Chinese food, so it was either this or Panda Express, and I'm glad we went here. To be honest, this place is clearly pretty old and dingy and not in the best location, so it can seem a little sketchy, (particularly at night). We went for it anyway, and the guy up front was super friendly and personable. The wait wasn't too long, and the food was perfectly good. We got the chicken lo mein and I did the Two Barbecue on rice (with soy chicken and cha siu). The cha siu was very good! And the chicken was silky and juicy (if you're not used to traditional soy chicken you might not like the cut because you have to be careful of the bone pieces). It came with bok choi as well, it was all tasty and very good Cantonese style dish. My only complaint would be the rice was a little dry or perhaps not very fresh, but everything else was good. The lo mein was also good and has the kind of thinner noodles, and comes with bean sprouts. Price is super reasonable, so obviously don't come expecting something gourmet or the best food ever but portions were good and it was all perfectly tasty. I'm glad we went for it despite the exterior appearance and bad reviews, this place seems very genuine and has good Chinese food. Granted, I can't compare it to the previous ownership because I've never been here before. I am from the Seattle area where there are excellent family owned Chinese restaurants all over the city, and my mom is Chinese and a great cook, so I wanted to write an objective review. For being one of the few options here, and such a reasonable price, this place isn't bad at all and I would come here again."

"We went on two separate occasions the same day once in the morning for dimming and the other was dinner for regular Chinese food. Dim Sum was cheap and tasty and was a pushcart unlike some of the other restaurants we were here in Honolulu. Everything is recently for dimming in the morning prizes. We went in extra time at night and the food prices were also appropriate. All in all is good Chinese restaurant right in the middle of Chinatown."
