"However, things took a turn while we were outside the restaurant, which was bustling with people because of the event. My 70-year-old mother suddenly felt unwell and fainted in my arms, having a seizure right there among the crowd. Despite the large number of event attendees passing by, no one stopped to help or even ask if we needed assistance. Thankfully, a kind dog walker, who was unrelated to the event, noticed and helped us by bringing my mother some water while I tried to position her comfortably. This incident was not caused by alcohol or drugs, but rather from overheating in the 90-degree sun after spending the day at the river.
Once we were back in the car, my mother was very apologetic, but I reassured her that it wasn't her fault. I was, however, deeply disappointed in Madrone for allowing a patron to suffer a medical emergency during their event without anyone offering help or even checking in. Because of this experience, I have no intention of returning to or supporting a business that would neglect a customer in such a vulnerable situation."
