"We had made a reservation, but when we arrived, there was no one available to seat us. There were plenty of empty tables, so we decided to take a seat at a high top. After waiting about five minutes with no sign of the hostess, I approached the bar and spoke to the bartender to let her know about our reservation and asked if we needed to be seated. She informed us that it was unlikely we would be served at a table because the restaurant was too busy, but she could take our order if we chose to sit at the bar. Since there were four of us, we preferred a comfortable space to chat, which was why we made the reservation in the first place. Our reservation was for 6:45 PM, well after the dinner rush, and more than half of the tables were still unoccupied. Ultimately, we opted to leave and found a fantastic meal and excellent service just two doors down at Merricks. Interestingly, two other members of our party mentioned they had experienced a similar situation on a previous visit. On the bright side, the menu looked wonderful!"
