"We love Perry’s, and go frequently. However tonight we had a mixed experience. The food was still delicious, but service was less than expected. Our server greeted us and took our drink order, and then disappeared for 20 minutes. I ordered a bottle of wine and he said there was a much better one at the same price point. I always order the same wine but said sure, we’ll try it. It wasn’t as good as the one we typically order and was $20 more, which felt deceptive. But no problem. We had bottled water but had to serve ourselves, as no one ever filled our glasses. We were starving, and having to wait 20 minutes just to put our appetizer order in felt like forever. We were told the kitchen was closing and if we wanted dessert we had to order it now (of course, after waiting so long to be able to order, no surprise). We were still halfway through our entree when the ice cream was brought out, which felt very weird, and we felt rushed. Our server also didn’t have the best tableside manners, when we would say thank you he’d either not respond or just say uhuh. Chik fil- A does it better. When paying our check we got the bill back to sign but they kept my credit card, so after waiting forever to see if our server came by to ask him, a manager eventually came by and asked if we were missing a credit card, because one had been left by the machine. Overall we did not feel welcome and despite having great food, the service put a huge damper on our experience."

"Brought my friend here on 12/14 to celebrate a milestone birthday. We were greeted at the front desk by some of the rudest Perry’s employees I’ve ever met in more than 30 years of coming to this restaurant (original location further down on Bay Area included). Both a female and male employee were speaking on phones (possibly personal calls) and continued to ignore us for more than 7 minutes. A third employee walked up, again ignoring us and started rummaging through a file box. After a minute or so, I asked if someone could help us as we had reservations. This person acknowledged our presence, and a few minutes later the male employee came around with menus and asked for Bryan(t), party of 2. My reservations were under the name Bryant and I wasn’t sure which name he said, so I responded with “I’m Bryant.” He rudely exclaimed “YOU’RE Bryan???” He then gave me a very condescending look, walked past me to another group and seated them. My friend and I were ready to leave, the 3rd female began to walk us to a table. Even after being seated, we still were not treated as valued customers and again got up to leave. At that point, we met our wonderful server, Humberto. Humberto promised that if we gave him a chance, he would give us the treatment we deserved. Humberto introduced to the GM who apologized for the start of our evening and comped our appetizers. I am so grateful Humberto convinced us to stay! He provided us with celebratory evening I had planned for my friend….the food was delicious, and service outstanding!!"
