"I am new to the Winston-Salem area, and was happy to learn about Dom's. I've had Dom's three times, two of which were take out. 1. I ordered the Korean BBQ Cauliflower and the Spicy Mac Cheese. I placed me order online, drove to the restaurant, and when I arrived, my order was ready for pickup. 20 minutes from order to pickup. I loved that! I highly recommend the Korean BBQ. The Spicy Mac Cheese was dry. 2. I ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower and the fries. Again, I placed me order online, drove to the restaurant, and when I arrived, my order was ready for pickup. 20 minutes from order to pickup. I was not pleased with my options. There was no flavor. Breading used for the Buffalo Cauliflower was bland. 3. Last night for dinner, my wife and I decided to give Dom's one more shot. We want to support local, especially the restaurants that are plant based, as there are not many. During these times, it's important to hold a lot of grace as restaurants are understaffed and still working to navigate high turnover rates while also functioning. AND as a guest, it's important to feel welcomed and cares for. Overall, we had a pleasant experience with the staff. It was very clear that the host and the servers were very flustered. The restaurant was at about 40% capacity. Our server was as sweet as pie, but frequently forgot things like our cocktails and even gave our food to the wrong table. This was a little frustrating as there weren't many people at the restaurant. Eating at Dom's in person is something I highly suggest over takeout. My wife ordered the pizza and had plenty to take home it was delicious. I ordered the Piccata and would order it again. Overall I do believe we would go to Dom's again. I suggest that people going during dinner make a reservation. Although it wasn't packed, and they seat walk-ins, the host got really flustered when those without reservations ask to be seated. Ironically, most of the tables with reservations markers on them were empty. Over time we hope they continue to work out the kinks, and consider adding more fresh produce to the menu."

"Cute interior and the service is very friendly, but there are some bumps and the food is hit or miss. There was plenty of seating when we arrived and we chose to take a table in the back I guess the front is the enclosed patio area, then there are some booths along a corridor toward the back section.Seating was tight and uncomfortable. There is a large condiment tray on every table full of sauces and seasonings which is cool at first until the food starts arriving and you realize there is no place to put it.Although the hostess explained the seating options and we told her we were heading to the back, we could not get a server to come over until I asked someone who it was. Once assigned, our server was very friendly and personable, but we had to wait quite a while. I don't have a problem waiting once we're greeted so we know who is taking care of us, but this was a concern. In the entire back room, there was only one other table seated besides ours. Their server went three times to their table without even batting an eye at us, so I finally had to yell out to get his attention. After that, our server came and apologized. We ordered the conch fritters and the corn cakes for appetizers. The conch fritters were mostly dough with little flavor, although the dipping sauce was okay. I guess that is why they have so many condiments available. The corn cakes are amazing, a very unique item that was very enjoyable. they come with cheese, avocado, and other goodies on top and are quite yummy.Entrees were sort of blah. My daughter's tuna wrap with a little teriyaki came drenched in it, ruining the delicate taste of the tuna. Shrimp and tuna tacos were okay, not great, not terrible. My mahi mahi was a bit dry, but the slaw and yucca fries I ordered as sides were fantastic.Overall, some good, some bad. Maybe we would try again."

"I ordered the Lechon Kiwali deep fried pork), Lumpia Shanghai Filipino spring rolls) and rice lunch combo as well as the Ginisang Sayote sautéed chayote) through Grubhub and the order was timely. The food was tepid temperature not too unusual for Filipino food, but not super hot as some people ordering might expect), but very tasty. The Ginisang Sayote was flavorful, with a very mild kick and some minced pork in it. It was soupier than some other versions of this I have had but not bad at all. Of the two items ordered this was the warmer of the two and came in an 18 oz container. The lunch combo consisted of 5 chunks of lechon kiwali and five lumpia shanghai. The lumpia came with the typical sweet and sour dipping sauce but was a little limp, barely crisp. The taste was excellent though. The lechon came with the typical liver-based dipping sauce and was very tasty as well, being crispier than the lumpia. The set came with about two cups of sticky white rice. Overall the food was delicious, but I suspect this whole meal would be better in the restaurant.I did feel that it was a bit pricey at nearly $35 for the two items $12.50 for the 18 oz container of ginisang, and $13 for the lunch combo which only had five pieces of each item). I was well satiated between the two dishes but would have been leaning heavily on the rice to feel satisfied with the lunch combo, so not the best value if you are value conscious.I was somewhat disappointed in not being able to order the turon by the piece or pair as well, the only option being by the tray."
