"Dined at Othello's this past weekend after the OU/West Virginia Basketball Game. I was a little skeptical after the reviews I read online, but I can assure you this meal was one of the best I have had in Norman in a long time!
We had a nice cozy booth on the restaurant side where we were greeted by a wonderful young man named Sam. He told us about the evening specials which all sounded to die for! We opted to start with stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, because the table next to us got them and they smelt delicious!!! Which they were... YUM!!!
My husband got the steak, Filet I think. I am not sure why they are not a steakhouse, because this steak was better then any steak we have gotten at Outback! And I got the Shrimp Portofino special. I asked why this wasn't on the menu... Because it was SO good! Sam assured me that although it wasn't on the menu I can ask for it anytime! It was wonderful news to my ears!
And of course we finished up with some of the homemade Coconut Cream Pie that everyone seems to be talking about these days!
All in all, a great evening! I only wish we would have stopped by the bar to hear that piano player! Guess we will save that for next time!
