"After walking all the way from Pier 1, my family was starving… since Aliotto’s was closed and Scoma’s was booked, we decided to try the Franciscan. The atmosphere is kitschy and fun, the views are incredible, the tables are comfortable, and they have a full service bar. Our group enjoyed the Calamari Appetizer, Sea Bass in Lemon Caper Butter Sauce, Steamed Clams, Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl, Fish N Chips and a kids pasta dish. All of which were great… They were flavorful, and had nice presentation. The best I’ve ever had? Not quite… but darn good, especially after a day of exploring! The one thing I will note is— they charge for the bread and butter, which is perfectly fine, I just wish it was a better quality SF sourdough. The Franciscan is definitely worth a try!!!"
