"I came here for my birthday. First time at this restaurant. Pretty disappointed in the food. We ordered the GF tofu terriyaki. The tofu was barely, if at all, cooked. The texture was awful, tasted raw. Honestly the worst tofu I've ever eaten. We also ordered an avocado roll which was okay except very warm. I believe that the ingredients inside the roll should be cold, as most sushi I've ever had (with the exception of tempura rolls or cooked rolls). We also got the summer veggie roll which was half decent, and honestly the only saving grace of this meal. For sushi in SF or honestly sushi anywhere, we were very disappointed. Certainly never coming back."

"Now that I have tried Izakaya Yoki for the second time, I can double confirm that it's a good spot. Once we got inside, there were only a few people and it was near closing time, so we got seated quickly. We ordered a bottle of sake, 3 rolls, and takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki was a 10/10 and is a good choice to start with at any Japanese restaurant. The three rolls we ordered, 3 amigos, heaven roll, and geisha, tasted fresh and flavorful! I was not disappointed by the presentation of the rolls and all the other options they offered on their menu. Our food came out quickly and the people helping us made sure to check-in often. Overall, the food was yummy, the restaurant was clean, and the service was pretty good. I recommend trying this place out either coming into the restaurant or ordering for take-out!PS. The restaurant is located near downtown so finding a parking spot will be a hassle and the garages around the area charge a lot. Plan accordingly :"

"I understand that California rolls aren't considered authentic sushi, but I absolutely love them! They have a simple, great taste that I really enjoy. I'm not a fan of the more exotic options; I prefer California rolls and their veggie counterparts, which are twice as large and filled with guacamole, carrots, and cucumbers instead of crab. My only complaint is that I paid $40 and would have liked the rolls to be cut thicker."

"Just very frustrating because the restaurant said it was open until 10 and we showed up at 9:40 and they were like oh the last call was at 9:30 and I asked for a sushi roll to go and they were like we can’t even do that. We’ve already closed the kitchen. And I’m like well then why would you say you’re open until 10?The waitress was not friendly or helpful at all."

"I wanted to try this sushi place and was not disappointed. I had to change my order to a delivery, but the total bill was reasonable at under $100. The strawberry drink was great, as was the Boba drink. The rolls were tasty, with my favorite being the baked scallop roll. The other rolls were good, with not too much sauce on them which I enjoyed. However, the double salmon roll was not as delicate as I would have liked. The quality of the salmon in the sorted sashimi was better, but some pieces were difficult to chew. The salad was refreshing, and the soup was decent. The eel roll was pretty good. Overall, I will be coming back for the baked scallop roll next time I am in the area."

"I want to support local business and this restaurant, being next to Daido (a wonderful Japanese grocery store) exudes vibes of a small, traditional Japanese joint. It is very unfortunate that the store is now mended by a rude male cashier, who has the WORST demeanor. Just rude and mean in all ways even to regular customers. Not sure if he took over this sushi joint, it was originally owned by an elderly Japanese man (who’s very kind and always smile). Too bad the quality of food has declined tremendously, the sushi they give now is half the size. Will NOT recommend and visit again."
