"The restaurant is located in a rather rural area and can easily be overlooked, but it's been in business for a long time, which is evident in its decor and interior condition. When I arrived, my food was ready. The person at the register was polite, and my meal was neatly packaged. I appreciated that they included a couple of ketchup packets without me having to ask, as I realized I forgot to request them when I was halfway back. I love dipping my hush puppies in ketchup (you should definitely give it a try!). As for the food, it was decent—I'd rate it as average BBQ for the Huntsville area. I had a small pulled pork plate with fries, which also included slaw and hush puppies. The sweet tea I ordered was gigantic—so much so that it barely fit in my cup holder! It was a good value. The small pork plate was more than enough for me. The pork had a nice smoky flavor and texture, but I found it a bit dry. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the sauce that came with my meal; it was thin and vinegar-based. While I appreciated the spice, I prefer a sweet, thicker sauce. The fries were on the mushy side and needed more salt, even when I sampled some as soon as I left the restaurant. I'm not a coleslaw enthusiast, so I only had a bite; it was okay, but I favor mayo-based coleslaw if I'm going to eat it. The highlight of my meal, as I remembered from my previous visit, was the hush puppies. While I wouldn’t say they're the best I've ever had, they are quite good. Freshly made, hot, and crispy with just a hint of oil that seeps out onto your fingers, they are delightful. Seriously, try them with a little ketchup! Just saying."
