"The first visit was disappointing. My wife and I had our Friday night and visited Fielding 's Local Kitchen and Bar for the first time. It was a good energetic amount. Many children play in the adjacent courtyard (it makes it very loud when sitting outside). We sat on an outside table. After a few minutes we were asked to put on another table due to an error that the table reserved for a regular patron. We were sitting about 20 minutes before someone waited for us. We finally flew the manager and advised him of the situation. He did a good job to undo our dissatisfaction and gave us a high-energy waiting person. We got our meals and the manager made our wine. On the plus side it has a fantastic bar and wine cellar selection. The bar staff was excellent and attentive while waiting for our table. I would highly recommend the warm avocado fundido if you have a long waiting period. However, first impression damage was carried out. It seems that the management personnel regularly supervises patrons as priority (understood). Unless you are a local and frequent patron, you might be disappointed by the service."

"I bought coffee from their traveling van at the air show in Great Falls and it was terrible. The woman who took my order was rude and unkind and then she handed out 8 orders before mine to people who ordered after me. I ordered a small iced mocha lattewhich cost 6.25 due to a ridiculous price in flavor and I didn?t even get it. After twenty minutes of waiting I reminded herkindly that I was still waiting and she just forgot my order which was odd because I had already paid. Then she finally hands mea drink so I walk off and it?s the wrong thing, she gave me a normal latte which was almost two dollars cheaper than what Ipaid. It was very infuriating because I usually don?t buy myself coffees so I was disappointed when I did."

"We celebrated our 5th year anniversary of being together and choose Thrive to have our dinner together. It was a great experience. From making the reservation online and to arriving and being greeted quickly and by name. They took it upon themselves to provide a free dessert as I had informed them during the reservation that we were celebrating. It made me look really good with my beautiful date. You all were awesome! Thank you once again!"

"We have been here on two occasions and both times the food was remarkable. They have red wines that blow your mind for the price point and you can even take bottles home with you at a discount! We started with the cheese board which had an insanely good cheddar and buffalo mozzarella. Paired with the wines it was an exceptional start to the meal. I had the shrimp scampi which I honestly wanted to lick the plate clean while my date had a vegetable linguine type pasta dish. The decor is very nice and clean. Romantic and what you would expect for the price. The service was perfect. Yes we may have had to ask for another glass of wine, but that is so much nicer to just enjoy your company and ask when you want something than be interrupted every 5 minutes. A true hidden gem in Canton!"

"I had The Playboy and Wasabi Special. I have had the Playboy several times at other Wasabi restaurants, and it is usually delicious but not so much at this location. It tastes like the shrimp were cooked in old cooking oil, and they had no crunch. I always finish my Playboy, but not today, and I was starved. My Wasabi Special was ok, not as great as the last time I had it. It had a little too much tempura crunch. Waitress was very absent during my visit, well, at least at my table. I saw her having a lengthy conversation with the next table about menu items and then walked in the other direction when she finished. The place would be good for a first date if the food and service were better. Quiet and intimate. I'll stick with my regular location where the sushi is delicious and the waitresses are friendly."

"This was one of the most horrid food experiences I've had in Missouri. I'm from Chesterfield but moved away 10 years ago and brought my mother back to one of our favorite places, Wasabi. We sat at the bar as there was a wait for tables. We ordered andgot the sushi on a platter. One of the rolls was wrong. I quickly told the server and she made movements with her hands as ifshe was looking for something to scoop the roll off of the platter and alas.. Ended up SCOOPING IT WITH HER DIRTY BARE HANDS. Iam in absolute shock, being a restaurantuer... I didn't want to cause a scene in front of my mother. We immediately stoppedeating and asked for the check as we were in a hurry. I contacted the restaurant over the phone, talked to the manager and theysaid they were going to send out some vouchers through email. I never got them. Here I am over a year later posting this reviewbecause they think they can email market to me without resolution for this horrid experience."

"I enjoyed the dinner. The chicken was delicious. Our reservation was for my birthday, so I was disappointed that the flower cart never made its way to us. I appreciated getting a call a day or two prior to our dinner checking in to see if we had any special requests. In person, it didn't feel as special, but the physical restaurant is beautiful. I had salmon the others had chicken and all the meats were overcooked and dry and the sauces, while tasty, weren't much help. The other parts of the dishes were good, especially the fried rice. "$5 for a frozen, basic breakfast sandwich that can be purchased at any Walmart or Kroger? I expect more for that price. I would like to see a sandwich with a real egg or something unique that I can’t easily find in a grocery store for a fraction of the cost. Additionally, the iced mocha I ordered lacked the espresso flavor I was looking for. It tasted more like mocha powder and milk. When I order an espresso-based drink, I expect a strong coffee flavor. The frozen coffee I also tried was disappointing, lacking in flavor."

"I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there the hostess did not confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut, which was roughly a $ 20 difference in price. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which is what it came up with), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost."

"The service was very slow. We sat for at least 15 minutes without being greeted by our server, no waters, no silverware until after our salad arrived. We received the wrong appetizer and when the correct appetizer arrived, it was poorly presented on the plate (next time, spare us the wilted lettuce garnish). I ordered nigiri cold, rubbery rice that did not adhere to the not so fresh fish. Couldn’t finish the 3 pieces I ordered... Maybe it was a bad day for the restaurant which I can empathize with. If this is how it normally operates, yikes."

"The quality was disappointing and the prices were excessive. The Nutty Bowl wasn’t mixed properly, with some clumps of powder remaining. The flavor was underwhelming as well. "Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water."

"This place is a secret amazing spot and it shouldn’t be a secret. The food is incredible. The drinks are great and very reasonable. The service is top notch. Shout out Valinda, John, and Katrice. Anytime I’m in the area I definitely ALWAYS come to The Duke. Good people, better food, and great vibes. Do yourself a favor and skip BDubs and Outback and come to The Duke. The Rasta Pasta? 10/10. The honey pepper wings? 10/10. Jerk chicken Caesar salad? 10/10."
