"We visited Buddha Thai as we have been to the other Thai food spots in the area and wanted to try this one out. The service was good and attentive and the wait staff were able to accommodate some of our requests fairly easily. My biggest issue is the food, again we have been to the Thai food spots around town and moving up from the South Bay we have expectations on what we 're looking for. We ordered: Drunken man noodles: 2/10 A dish known for being spicy was definitely not spicy, it was almost identical to what I would expect an order of Pad See Ew to taste like in any other establishment. It lacked chili and garlic throughout the dish even though we asked for it to be spicy. To give you a better understanding of how un-spicy this dish is, my two year old toddler was able to eat it without fuss or remark on it being spicy. While it wasn 't bad, it wasn 't even close to what we were expecting. Panang Curry: 6/10 This was a bit better and had an overall more rounded flavor profile and was comparable to other restaurants in the area, again the biggest difference is that the dish is not spicy even though we ordered Thai spicy . At this point the server had brought us the chili condiment set and while it helped there 's a difference between having chili bloom during the cooking process and adding it after the fact. Overall an ok dish with notes of sweetness but a little heavy on the creamy texture and more subtle lemongrass flavors. Ultimately, this is one of the least authentic places in the area and at the current price point I would expect better. While I understand the intent and that I am probably not their target market with the toned down flavors, I wish they were transparent about the food beforehand."
