"This is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood! It is a great spot for happy hour and trivia which they offer weekly. I try to go here with my girlfriends on Thursdays when they run Ladies Night specials. Outside of Happy Hour time, drinks are pretty pricey for the area so I try to come in when they are offering some kind of deal or special. They also offer a bottomless brunch option which I haven't tried yet but can't imagine it's a flop based off my experiences here for dinner. I love that they go ALL OUT for holidays like Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day. As for the food, I typically get the Cobb Salad which is always made consistently and is satisfying. My friends have never had any issues with the dishes they've gotten (quesadilla, boneless wings, burger). My only complaint is that it can get VERY loud and draws a good crowd throughout the evening. The staff stays pretty on top of it though and the bartenders are always friendly. Overall, definitely a great spot to grab drinks with friends. You're not getting THE BEST food Forest Hills has to offer but a safe spot for sports bar bites!"

"I enjoyed my time here and I had a good meal. My server was very friendly and helpful with her suggestions. I was served water right away and my server took my order after giving me some time to review the menu. After I ordered the baked brie as an appetizer and was brought , my wait time increased. I didn't have to wait long for my appetizer, but, my main course took a little while. I think I have been to so many restaurants where they keep checking on you, having an uninterrupted meal seams different. I had the Tournados Au Poivre, well done, with pesto pasta and green beans. It was good! Dessert was the seasonal special, pumpkin and sweet potato pastry with cinnamon and caramel drizzle with ice-cream, whipped cream and strawberries, with coffee. Very good ! I recommend this restaurant. Just be aware you may get sticker shock on prices, but, this is not a Applebee's: . I gave five s because a fellow patron began to choke on her food and the hostess performed the Heimlich and saved the woman's life. That is the first that has happened while I was eating. Great job ! The event happened and was over quickly. Wifi available."

"Got there with a reservation on Valentine's day, and had to wait for almost an hour outside, crammed with other people and being left behind by newcomers chasing the hosts across the room, supposedly at capacity. We were still hoping to have a good meal when we finally got in, but they were out of Lamb so we had to order a Steak the waiter recommended to us. Then, they were out of Steak too, but they only realized mins later, preventing us from ordering anything else. The waiter gave us a free beer when the proper thing would have been at least free dessert. At this point, we realized that ordering home wouldn't have been so bad after all.."

"Very unusual for Out of the Fire but waited over 50 minutes for lunch (chicken tacos). The tacos were mushy and not very good after all that wait. Our waitress seemed new but she did not offer any explanation until we flagged her down and asked about our food. They did comp one of the meals but overall not a good experience. We will go back because the food is usually very good but this was a very bad no good day!"

"You have vegan options, how to stir fry with tofu and vegetables. The pancakes are vegan (they inadvertently admit). I ordered the Quinoa Patty. They were out of him and replaced a falafel Patty. Okay. It was served on a spinach salad with one side of stir fried vegetables, which were mostly spinach. It was good, but very oily. You have vegan breakfast sausage, but only as a side, not in any meal. Downside is almost every menu item has Ente confit. You also have a love for bacon and spam. There are everywhere Bacon signs and charts how to cut a pig. Even the bill is brought into a spam canal that is a classless act after he has ordered blatant vegan."

"My sister insisted that we go to Estelle for my birthday (August 14th). She had seen the chef on TV and wanted to try the lobster deviled eggs. This turned out to be one of my most memorable birthdays. First of all, we did not use valet service but were so cordially greeted by valet staff. Upon entering the building, we noticed really nice décor and encountered still more very cordial staff. We sat in what turned out to be the perfect location, and then we were greeted by Cody. From that point on, service was at the highest level. We were there from about 2:15 to 4:15 pm. We ordered the lobster deviled eggs and Cody suggested we also try the local shrimp. Both were extremely delicious. Later we ordered fried oysters which were also delicious. The drinks were very good too. Cody was The Best! By the time we left, it was hard to distinguish between the service, the food, or the drinks. That’s how great it all was . . . and no one knew it was my birthday. On our way out, again we encountered the most courteous and cordial valet staff. WOW! What a great experience!"

"Although the menu is 99% meat based, if you want an amazing vegan hot dog, this is the place! They use Beyond Sausage and they have lots of vegan toppings including avocado, pickled veggies, vegan mayo, salsa verde, and more! The fries are not vegan since they cook them in the same oil used for meat, but the hot dog alone is worth the trip and they have great cocktails! And yes the bun is vegan!"

"The food portions were humongous! The griddled French toast with the banana and pecans was unreal. So delicious I didn’t even look at my potatoes or eggs. The sage chicken and waffles was a tower of juiciness and again humongous. My partner couldn’t even finish a chicken and the waffles had bacon inside! Inside the waffles were strips of bacon. That’s the fattest thing I’ve ever seen and the most brilliant! Lattes were delicious and strong you could substitute the milk for almond or soy which is what I did and it was perfect. Recommend 20/20 go there and enjoy yourself. You won’t regret it.Parking: Street parking right along side restaurant or anywhere close by you can find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that goes into the restaurant."

"Get place with a great vibe, food choices for even a pickie eater, kids menu, sodas, tea, full bar you name it. Ordered JIMMY'S CHICAGO DOG and fries, dog was great, awesome flavor, dressed with fixings. Just the right amount of food for a lunchtime meal, that won't leave you hurting when you leave. "I ordered the Alligator Dog and it was definitely the best “hot dog” I’ve ever had. I am yet to try the rest of the menu, and the fries are perfectly crunchy and well seasoned enough that I didn’t use any kind of dip for the fries if that makes my statement for the fries any better. The atmosphere there is a bit on the louder side(alternative music half the time) but comfortable enough to sit and enjoy the food, if you don’t like slightly loud, there is outdoor dining, they also bring the food to you. There’s also a bar inside that I haven’t ordered anything from yet. The people there are very kind and helpful, definitely going to visit this place again."

"I’ve been a fan of Garrison for two plus years since I moved to DC. It always was a dependable reliable great place with good ingredients great recipes and good service. I dined 10 to 15 times over two and a half years. When I read this morning that tonight was the last night of service I was dismayed and booked a table immediately and especially because a good friend who I had met there was in town. Unfortunately the last experience was very poor. Garrison didn’t take care of us and didn’t honor our reservation; they didn’t meet their commitment to us and we went elsewhere and had a great time but, you know, we missed what might’ve been a great sayonara to a great place. I wish the chef the best. But I’m going to go to his next place with a question in mind now about how he treats loyal guests. I’ll be providing a more detailed letter to the Washington Post and the New York Times. This place was good enough that it warrants a watch."

"This restaurant is a bit of a drive from down county MOCO, but it was absolutely worth it. I visited around noon on a Saturday during the summer. The atmosphere was vibrant, yet the crowd was quite relaxed. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I really enjoyed the bottle I chose. "Literally the most perfect place to end a night with incredible hot dogs and a full bar. The Chicago dog rivals that of Chicago itself not to mention the variety of Cajun inspired hot dogs. It lost a star because of the way that they serve. Hot dogs could be really more efficient."
