"I'm not one to normally write a review, but to not share my experience would be doing the community a disservice.I got to the restaurant with my plus one at 7:30. There was one other person in the restaurant. We were sat down by a middle-aged woman with black hair and she prompty asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't been given a literal minute to look over the menu. I told her no and she then explains that the restaurant would be closing in 30 minutes; although the website and Google state 8:45 PM. I said okay and to come back in 5 minutes. She returns and we place our order. Shortly after she returns with the food. 40 minutes later, she never returns. We finished eating 20 or so minutes after getting our food, recalling they were closing at 8 PM. I can hear her around the corner talking to someone, so I turn the corner to find her on FaceTime. I ask for the check and she states that she will bring it to the table. Ten minutes later, she is still on FaceTime but does not bring the check. At this point I have gone from slightly aggravated to annoyed. I walk over and ask for the check and she says that I can pay at the terminal. Why tell me that you will bring the check over if I can pay at the counter? I ask for the itemized copy of the receipt, given all I can see is a total. I pay and ask for a to-go container.I will not return given the treatment from the one and only staff seen with an empty restaurant and I would advise you to avoid dining in at all cost."

"In 2022, I visited this restaurant and ordered duck and pork on rice. I must say that I sometimes have high expectations for cleanliness, but at the very least, the food could have been warm. It seemed like the pork and duck had been sitting out for quite some time, rather than coming straight from the refrigerator. I don't recall seeing a fridge in the same area where they were preparing the food. The rice was the only thing that was warm. The duck and pork seemed to have been left out on the counter for a while, making it cold. I believe it is a basic expectation for all food to be served hot. It doesn't have to be freshly grilled, but at least warmed up properly. Hopefully, in the future, they will make sure all their food is served hot and fresh."

"The restaurant owner, Chef Tee, personally greets guests and remembers the names of regulars. The ambiance is charming with an array of trinkets adorning the walls. The food and drinks are exceptional, I can't emphasize that enough. I have dined here twice during my trips to Chicago and enjoyed the Crab Rangoon and Rookie of the Year (a dish with a baseball theme, as the restaurant is located near Wrigley Field). Chef Tee shared that the food is made with love, a tradition they have upheld for 20 years. A visit to Cozy Noodle is a must when in Chicago. Thank you, Cozy Noodle."

"Just moved into the Lincoln Park neighborhood and wanted to check out the local Thai joints in the area. I got my food to go but would like to dine in sometime (I think they had a outdoor patio). The food was very good but I wasn’t blown away. The Tom Yum was labeled as “Spicy” but I would level it 01/10 spicy level? Will have to come back and try more dishes"

"Service was very friendly, but I should have listened to my spidey senses when I asked a question about the noodles in Vietnamese and they responded with confused looks (they did not speak Vietnamese). After paying $13 for a bowl of filet mignon pho, I didn 't expect the bowl to be so measly. It was 4 5 pieces of meat and so few noodles that when you stir it around, you see the bottom of your bowl. I also assumed filet mignon pho was pho tai the traditional rare cuts that cook in the broth, but they came out precooked (and overdone for that matter). Definitely better pho options elsewhere, but I 'm hoping the reason this place gets decent reviews is from its other items."

"Buyer beware. If you’re purchasing roast meats or takeout and you don’t appear Asian, you may be overcharged. For example, I expected to pay around $42 for a whole ginger scallion chicken and roughly a pound of roast pork, but I was charged over $50."

"The timing for food service was quicker than I expected, even though the place was full. We did encounter a mix-up with our order, so if you notice that someone who got in line after you receives their food first, don’t hesitate to speak up. They resolved the issue promptly and even treated us to a complimentary churro dessert. I plan to return to try the pho and will likely order it to go! The staff was friendly and attentive. I found the ordering process a bit intimidating, but just make sure to place your order before sitting down, and take the time to read all the signs; that will definitely help. As for kid-friendliness, the menu does have two kid-friendly options, but the seating is quite limited, so I wouldn't recommend it as a great spot for kids."
