"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Anton Michel restaurant in Carmel, CA, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Not only did the restaurant boast a fabulous patio setting, but the combination of their dog-friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service made it a standout dining destination. First and foremost, I was thrilled to discover that Anton Michel is a dog-friendly establishment. Being able to bring my furry friend along to enjoy a meal with me was a huge plus. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, providing water and even treats for my canine companion. It truly created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Now let's talk about the food. Anton Michel surpassed my expectations with their delectable cuisine. The menu showcased a wide array of options, from fresh seafood to mouthwatering steaks and innovative vegetarian dishes. Every dish I tried was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and it was evident that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into each creation. One of the highlights of my dining experience was the fabulous patio. The outdoor seating area provided a tranquil and charming ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a glimpse of the beautiful Carmel scenery. It was the perfect setting to enjoy a meal, whether it was a leisurely brunch, a romantic dinner, or a casual gathering with friends."

"Not hubby's and my usual steakhouse, but it was nice to try something different. Valet parking available $6 with validation, tip extra) with a short walk through the hotel lobby to a private elevator that takes you straight to the top floor. Greeted warmly by everyone and showed to our table almost immediately. Two large dining areas on opposite sides of the restaurant. We were seated on the right side. Walkways seem a little tight as there are tables fronting the floor to ceiling windows and booth seating against the wall, so might be a bit snug if you're navigating a wheelchair. Once seated, a beautiful city lights view that gives the establishment extra am ambiance...bonus if there are fireworks like the night we went. Our server, Pono, was attentive and professional, yet was friendly. He checked in on us the perfect amount, and we never felt rushed, even though we were dining late. Drinks: The wines by the glass list was a little disappointing, as there's only 5 reds and 5 whites to choose from. Good amount of bottles to choose from. Hubby had a draft beer, while I had an old fashioned, which was a little too sweet. We also had a glass of Cabernet that was not as full bodied as we like. Food: Appetizers Oysters on the half shell came out beautifully presented and were very fresh. Seared sea scallops... perfectly cooked and paired well with their Dijon BBQ sauce. Entree bone in ribeye...tender on the inside and crispy char on the outside. Sliced for us for ease of sharing. Sides creamed spinach and lobster mac...IMO good, but not great like our fave spot. Was a lovely evening to end a regular Thursday."

"The Meridian, located in the Headlands Lodge and Spa, is absolutely lovely for dinner. The food is beyond delicious. You can't go wrong w/anything on the menu. Clam chowder was one of our favorites. We sat at the bar because dining in the main dining room was booked. To be honest we didn't miss out on anything. We still had amazing views and service. Very impressive wine selection. Nicholas, the Bartender even made olives stuffed w/blue cheese for me for my Dirty Martini and I was most impressed. He went above and beyond. A lovely and quite tasty cheese and fruit plate was placed in our room w/a bottle of wine (It came from Meridian, it was one of the add-ons Headlands offers that we went for). We ordered room service, for lunch one day and breakfast the other (from Meridian), breakfast was ok, but lunch was rather lackluster. My beet salad had pickled everything in it. But at the restaurant for dinner, it was sublime. It seemed like lunch came thrown together. However at dinner, there's an open kitchen, and the chef makes sure everything is perfect. Have dinner there but try to avoid room service, the food will taste like it came from two different restaurants. Bring extra money to tip the bartender, Nicholas was an absolute joy! Attentive, friendly, professional and willing to go above and beyond. He even made sure I had steamed milk w/honey and two delicious cookies to take back to the room."
