"Used to be great until it was sold. Waited over 30 mins for cocktail. Asked hostess about it but she never circled back to check on us. Terrible martini. No garnish and too much vermouth. Waiter was fine and apologetic. Food was fair. I ordered a lobster role but waiter said “ I don’t know why that is on the menu. We never have it”. Would have been nice if cocktails had been compted. Used to be such a nice place with great service and food. 2nd time we have tried it here since sale. Not going back."

"The Pink Cabana is lovely. However…… We made a reservation for 4 of us at 5:30 on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was was almost completely empty with servers just standing around. The VERY unfriendly Hostess told us that we couldn’t sit at one of the MANY open tables but had to sit at the bar. The other option she gave us was to sit around the fire pits. It was lightly raining outside and there were no chairs available at the fire pits. Just because we were having drinks and NOT dinner, she would not seat us at a table. Why? Do the servers not want to make money? Does the restaurant want to look pitifully empty? We reluctantly agreed to sit at the bar and a few more people came in the restaurant in the same situation as us-just wanting a cocktail. So that led to eventually many people crammed around the bar asking one bartender for drinks. A bar back then came to help but the whole situation was just awkward and unnecessary. We left after having one drink. Who’s to say if the Hostess would have just allowed people to sit at one of the many empty tables, we would have ordered more drinks, an appetizer, and then stayed for dinner? On their Open Table page, it says that there is a minimum $50 per person food and beverage charge from 5-8:30 pm. Terrible policy! It puts the Hostess in an awkward position by having to tell people about their ridiculous policy and guests getting angry and feeling awkward-and meanwhile, the restaurant remains empty."

"I've been to Purple many times over the years. And most other times it's been very good. This time, not so much. I ordered the Truffle Cacio y Pepe pasta and I should have sent it back. The noodle size was not a good choice for this dish (too large) and was over cooked (very soft). It was warm when arrived at the table. Overly buttered, not enough cheese and hard to tell there was any truffle. The only reason I didn't send it back was because I was dining with others on a lunch break and didn't want to cause us to be late going back to work. We arrived when it wasn't busy, but then the lunch rush happened while we were there. Our server was clearly overwhelmed with the rush as she barely attended us. So either not enough staff or she couldn't handle the rush. Also, construction was happening at the bar and was *very* loud. Perhaps that should have been done before the restaurant opened? Also, could be a hazard with food all around if they're kicking up dust, etc while drilling/cutting."

"I've visited this restaurant at least three times over the past three to five years, and each experience has been different. The first time, I tried their vegan beet burger, which was just okay. When I returned with family for a second visit, they had the Impossible burger, and it was fantastic—definitely the first time I had ever tried it, and I was thrilled to return. However, when I finally went back in February 2020, they no longer offered the Impossible burger. Instead, they had a Beyond burger option, but it was disappointing. I suspect they can't source the Impossible brand now that it's become popular, and are opting for the cheapest Beyond option available. I'm not sure if I’ll return."

"The food is fantastic, but they could really use a few more vegetarian options for lunch. I understand it’s a seafood restaurant, and while they do offer some ravioli choices, those are only available after 4 PM. I had a gathering there, and it would have been nice to have a few more options. Their grits are exceptional (they might actually be polenta, considering the color), and the salads are delicious. The service is excellent, and the restaurant itself is beautiful."

"We visited this restaurant on a Monday evening and found it to be not very crowded. Looking back, we should have requested outdoor seating as it was a beautiful evening in San Francisco. The service was attentive and top-notch. The decor and ambiance were very pleasing. It's the type of place where people tend to dress up a bit, but you can also feel comfortable in nice jeans and a collared shirt. While the food was decent, we found that the flavors were somewhat lacking and a bit bland. The side dishes were tasty, but the options were limited."

"KETCHUP?!? If you're here just for seafood boil, it was very good. The sauce was amazing. The drinks were not great and took forever to come out. My old fashioned didn't taste watered down but looked it and didn't taste great. If you order the sausagewith your crab, know you're basically (literally? getting Costco Polish Sausage. As far as I'm concerned that is just a hot dogbut it does have sausage in the name. They do taste good, just not what I was expecting. Don't bother ordering the shrimpcocktail. The appetizer didn't come out before our order. I think she forgot to put it in because she said she'd be right backwith it and then wasn't. It took a good bit of time. The shrimp were overcooked. Not the biggest deal, but meh. The real issuewas the cocktail sauce. The waitress said it was definitely cocktail sauce. It was not. It was ketchup. That was either theworst cocktail sauce ever or they put ketchup on my overcooked, slow to arrive shrimp cocktail. But at least you know the crabis good."

"Farmstead continues to be one of our top restaurants. We like cooking on wood fire. Wood cooking adds a nice smoky taste to the items. It also makes us feel like we are outside camping. Previously, in photos, we had the beignets covered in powdered sugar and wood grilled artichokes. Both are our favorites. Today we started with the wood grilled artichokes (no surprise). One of our other favorites is the cheddar biscuits. These add a nice cheesy (no pun intended) flavor to any entree you get. Wednesday was Lamb day. We got the special lamb meatballs over vegetable rogù. This was our first lamb here and it was excellent. For dessert, an Apple galette was calling us since it was my birthday. The combination was impressive. The outside BBQ neon sign is impressive at night. Inside next to the door is a great open area with the Farmstead sign. Seating, as shown, is casual but very nice. Farmstead has a nice outside grass area that is often used for weddings and special events. We strongly recommend you give them a try."

"We ate at Jack's for Mother's Day. The restaurant had a full crowd most of the time we were there. As tables left, another would come in. Our waiter was always available and very friendly, suggesting recommendations. My parents had the lobster tail which they both liked, although my mom thought it could use a bit more pepper. For the appetizers, we had fried shrimp and calamari and my mom said you could tell the calamari was definitely fresh!!! I had the pan seared scallops which were perfectly cooked and delicious! My daughter had a CT Lobster roll which she very much enjoyed. The food was great. Pies for dessert were also very tasty. My daughter loved the key lime pie and she's hard to please. Would definitely recommend and would visit again."

"One of the most unforgettable meals I've had in years! We tried the lobster roll, fish and chips, salmon sashimi, and oysters, and everything was fantastic. The lobster roll could compete with some of the best I've had in Boston, and the fish and chips (we chose the Alaskan cod) were the best I've ever tasted, and I've eaten quite a few. I was also impressed by the chef's presence in the dining area during busy hours, engaging with customers. I ordered a Manhattan, which was a bit underwhelming, but honestly, this isn't a place to go for cocktails. It's all about the food, and my friend and I couldn't stop talking about our meal long after we left."

"Located inside the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel, which has just completed a $30 million renovation. I love the new renovations which were modern and cozy at the same time. It felt like a brand new restaurant. Before dining, you can have a drink at the bar or outside around the fire pits. Their drinks menu has a great choice of Bay Area and California microbrews. The food menu also reflected a yummy choice of local produce and seafood. I went with a group of North Beach neighborhood food lovers and we all enjoyed the food immensely. All round, I would rate this way above average for a hotel restaurant and certainly somewhere I would return to. Oh, the staff were super-friendly too."

"I've been coming here for over 10 years. Went again yesterday and the food quality has dropped considerably. I got the Norwegian Benedict and my friend got the dill crab cake Benedict. Both were fine, but quite average in taste and the food was bland and cold. I think this place became very popular and the food quality dropped as a result.Also, we ordered coffees, which arrived after our food and only after we asked for them again. "Daaaaaaaamn this shizzz is pricey but QUALITY is definitely being served.... Our party of 4 came here for lunch the recommendation of my sister boujee palate. While I've had New England Lobster Market Eatery before, this was my first time enjoying the food fresh. First and foremost, parking is an absolute nightmare. Anyone who has ever visited/dined here would agree. Don't be surprised when you left walking a block or two because people do it, and they do it with smiles on their faces. I'd happily do the trek instead of circulating repeatedly and frustratingly end up losing a close spot to someone unexpectedly. BUT!! To each their own. Seating is first come first serve but the foot traffic here is constantly flowing so it isn't too hard to find a table if you aren't picky with in or outdoor seating. Ordering food via QR code at your table or standing in line to put in your meal with live staff is also available. Lunch consisted of: Dressed Lobster Roll (2) Crab Salad Wagyu Beef Hot Dog Drinks [iced tea Blueberry Lemonade] Food: At a whopping $16, this is probably one of the more expensive hot dogs I've purchased. Lmao! Granted it was wagyu but it didn't taste much different from your average hot dog. Do I recommend it? No, but if you come equipped with a picky eater, this might be necessary. The dressed lobster rolls are packed with chunky, overflowing lobster. Flavors are great and the house-made chips and coleslaw were a nice edition to the meal. Crab lobster was light, refreshing, yet filling as well. Blueberry lemonade comes fresh muddled fruit and is highly recommended, especially on a hot day. 5/5 stars. Be prepared to spend some coins but I guarantee your tastebuds and belly will leave her happy. With the menu being so vast, you are sure to please the entire party."

"We visited Griddle Fresh on a weekday and were pleased to find no wait. After finishing my blood lab work nearby five months ago, I decided to try this new breakfast spot based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the banana soufflé pancakes and the seafood Benedict, which featured shrimp and crab. The hash browns were surprisingly the best I've ever had, and I usually don’t even like hash browns! The soufflé pancakes reminded me of those I had at Aloha Kitchen in Hawaii—I'm thrilled to have finally found a place close to home that serves them. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Griddle Fresh, giving it two thumbs up. Just a tip: if you can, go during the week, as the wait on weekends can be up to two hours. We've already been back at least five times in the past five months!"

"Lou’s is located on the wharf, but unfortunately, the only view from there is of the street. We were seated towards the back, so we faced the alley instead. The restrooms are located outside and require going upstairs to reach a different section of the building. This wouldn't have been too inconvenient, but it was quite cold that day, and you don’t realize you’re going outside until you open the door. The tables are set very close together, making the entire room feel cramped. On a positive note, the clam chowder, hush puppies, and fish and chips are exceptional, and the lunch prices are very reasonable."
