"Had the opportunity to visit this place on a Wednesday evening. Great first impression, very modern, minimalist decor. I am not a fan of all the hard surfaces, especially the polished concrete that seems to be becoming more and more popular. It tends to make sounds reverberate more intensely than normal. Especially high-heeled shoes, which I like to wear. We found it quite loud, even though it wasn't overly busy... I cannot imagine how loud it is when it is full! Our server was dressed and composed herself very professionally, though I wish she had more wine training. When your wine list is only France & Canada with a lot of it being rare or exclusive products, it is nice to get some competent guidance when choosing a very expensive bottle of wine. Or at least some knowledge on it, versus just trying to make things up or try and BS things because they haven't been trained properly. The list has very few bottles under $50, and I feel like the mark-up was very high. It is annoying to go out and find that restaurants expect you do drop $60-70+ for a bottle of wine. This isn't a fine-dining establishment, not by far, so why are your wine choices so expensive! The food though, is the primary reason to go out, and this is where this establishment let us down the most. The prices seemed very reasonable, until you see the food and the portion sizes. We always get steak tartare whenever we see it, as it is a good test of a chef as it requires good technique and quality product. It was a very small portion and was bland. It needed more seasoning and something else, as it didn't seem to taste of anything at all.We tried the gnocchi as well. This was the only dish that we enjoyed upon our visit. Nothing to complain about other than that it is a shame the other dished paled in comparison compared to the gnocchi.Other dishes that don't warrant much description, but were just average were the cauliflower dish, the apples on toast, and the sea bream. With all the competition that is out there in the vicinity, I feel like these dishes are familiar and inferior to what you can get elsewhere."
