"Took my partner in for a quick Saturday brunch this weekend. While I’ve dined at both this location as well as Timonium several times, this was his first time dining at Michaels. We were sat in G/Germone’s section in the back, which never appeared full. His demeanor came off as sickly sweet and pretty fake from beginning to end. Not holding his style against him. However, his sequence of service was poor. We watched him shut down as soon as he realized we might not be a high top table. My espresso martini took entirely too long, and it was clear G forgot about it about 10 min after being ordered. Our chicken and waffles were cooked, expedited and ran quickly so no complaints there. But didn’t love his lack of quality service. Not sure why G’s first check-in was 15-20 minutes after our food was dropped and instead of asking how we were doing, he acknowledged his own absence by thanking us for our patience. Had he walked up to the table just a few minutes earlier, he might’ve gotten that higher top ticket because I wanted to order a second drink. At this point, though, with such cruddy service we were ready for a soft drink refill, box for our two entrees, and check. We got the refill and box almost immediately but had to wait even longer to watch G practice his fake style at another table nearby before finally becoming check ready. I’m so disappointed that this was my partner’s first and likely last visit to Michaels White Marsh. I personally don’t see myself visiting this location by choice again. From a former server/bartender, please do better! Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Chicken Waffles"

"Very disappointing!!! We have been going to the Sushi Room for about 3 years about every two weeks, so it has been one of our go-to spots. When we arrived this Saturday, we didn 't recognize any of the front-of-the-house staff or the sushi staff and knew something was up. After being greeted by a new waiter, we were seated. We were not given the usual weekly menu additions sheet, a key reason for coming here. When we asked about it, we were told there were no special items this week. We then ordered our usual bottle of wine, and the waiter came back 10 minutes later, telling us that it was out of stock; they gave us a sample of a different bottle, which we didn 't like, and we ordered a different bottle. We placed our order, and they were able to make us a 'sashimi salad ', which has been taken off the menu. We made a selection of another 5 plates, and were told that they were out of the wagyu beef, which we always order. The food itself that we were able to order was still of fair quality, although the waits between courses was much longer than usual. But, without the additional special weekly items, it 's just another sushi joint, albeit a VERY high-priced one. For the price point, one might as well go to Kuru at the Casino. When we asked initially if the restaurant had sold, we were told that there was just 'staff turnover ', but, when we asked a different person, we were told that Sushi Room and Mama Mia next door had both been sold in the past week. So the new iteration is off to a very rocky start. Hopefully, the new owners can right the ship and make the place worthwhile to come back to. As far as the 'noise level ', energetic above translates into far too loud . And we had to ask that the music be turned down so that we could hear each other talk."
