"The food itself was great. But when we are waiting we found this store also has too good to go option and it was 2.2 points out of 5, so we are pretty curious cuz the food is great, why such low reviews? And once we get it, totally understandable. As shown below in picsFirst of all, only four small cup miso soup is not even on the menu and they put original retail price for $12 dollars for this, which is ridiculous.Secondly, we are having the dinner in this store and we ordered pretty great amount of food, but this too good to go give us a feeling of teasing us. It's not for helping environment but for their OWN financial benefit. If the store owner is in such mindset, you shouldn't participate in this Too good to go campaign which is helping the environment but not wasting so many plastic container for miso soup.We really enjoyed the food here but for such attitude and mindset, we will never ever come back and hope this reviews can help others!Overall I feel really really bad that as an Environmentalist, I'd rather they don't even give me this bag which cause more plastic trash in the world. If you want to protect the environment, please don't event order too good to go in this store."

"We had a 1 pm lunch reservation and when we arrived we were told we had to eat outside in OCT without prior notice. It was cold. Our food to 1 HOUR to come out and our server did not check on us or tell us there would be such a long delay. Once our food arrived we asked for the check and it never came. We had to wait for our waiter to come outside and.ask for it again. We gave waiter 2 credit cards Snd he put it all on one. I have been going there for years and would have rated the service the highest in past. This experience with Jorge was terrible."

"The restaurant was almost empty at lunchtime. I ordered 3 items and the plates took 45 min to arrive. I couldn’t understand why as the restaurant was nearly empty. 2 plates came out but We weee waiting and waiting for the last plate to arrive but no one came. I had to go inside (1 table) and noticed the sushi chefs just hanging out. They had forgotten about my 3rd plate so I just cancelled it and left. The 2 plates were only okay and the prices are outrages for the quality. I would not suggest going."

"I visited Shogun 3 for my dad's birthday with a group of 7. Dad was excited for his first hibachi show, and we were happily watching the older chef cook for 2 other tables. While the younger hibachi chef cooked extremely quickly, we were disappointed by the lack of entertainment and interaction no food toss into mouth, no egg juggling, the onion fire lasted only a second, any any of the normal gimmicks. It felt incredibly rushed and was just him cooking on a flat top. One order our Shogun Special order was incomplete. The waitress wrote it down correctly on the slip. After i pointed out we were missing an order, chicken and 3 shrimps were added. After everyone received their meals, I realized the steak was missing for the Shogun Special had to point this out again. Towards the end, my brother's steak was cooked after we had mostly finished eating, causing him to box his food. The experience fell disappointingly short for the $306 (w. Tip) we spent, and we were hoping for more flair and fun in the performance."

"My dining partner and I had dinner here on Friday 8/7. As it was pouring we had no choice but to eat inside. Interestingly the restaurant called to tell me they overbooked and would gladly cancel my reservation. I'm sure my response wasn't very nice, but I did have a confirmed reservation. No problem once arriving especially in the back dining room which was fairly empty. Our waiter was great (don't know his name) and very accomodating to my dining partner who is gluten intolerant. Our salads were big, my with calamari and hers with beets. We also had edamame as an app to munch on. We then had sushi which was just fair with brown rice because it's gluten free. I thought the sushi was tasteless and I haven't lost my tastebuds yet! I've had much better sushi elsewhere! I then ordered this 11 layer carrot cake which looked great. Sorry to say, I've had much better, moister, carrot cake. Perhaps it was refrigerated, I have no idea. Funny thing is the pre-covid I really liked their Happy Hour and the sushi! Well, we are having a difficult time with all the isolation and I will surely go back to support them and it was great to be out!"

"This is the best sushi place we have tried around here. We love the sushi boat option. There is not much space inside so we order to go. They are pretty fast with the orders and their rolls are very tasty. I would recommend take out if you have a place to eat outside. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5"

"Very pleasurable experience overall. Got the best table in the place- right next to the seawater aquarium, very lovely! I needed a low key classy dinner out!"

"Their menu might not be the most vegan friendly ever (it's definitely vegan friendly! , but the staff certainly is. This was our 3rd time. 2 sit down 1 takeout. Hospitality is a shining star with them. We're always made to feel valued, which goes a super long way with us. As for the food, it's quality, delicious abundant! The cocktails are poured generously, as well. No complaints! What truly strikes me, and prompted me to write a review, which I never take the time to do (I should, but I just haven't , is how respected we've felt as vegans. We've always made a point of saying we're vegan. Today, when we ordered from the vegetarian menu, something wasn't vegan. The owner/manager (not sure which came over to tell us that the dish was not vegan, but then quickly offered a solution, by verbally crafting a dish that sounded superior to what we'd just ordered... it was scrumptious inspired The gentleman also said that his wife was vegan he understood. Awesome!!! Now that Cafe Indigo is abandoning the community, it's nice to have another spot that isn't TOO far away. Already looking forward to returning! I highly recommend!"

"We love this restaurant and often it once a week during the summer when we walk. Less often with winter weather. The staff is friendly, the food is relatively fast and consistently good, and we love the lunch specialities. My fiancé taught English in Japan for 5 years and from all the restaurants that we have tried, these dishes and those in Mitsuwa remember him most of his time there. He usually gets the Katsudon, which is a nice roasted pig over rice with egg and onion, and it is salty and absolutely delicious. He'll also make Katsu Curry shake everything up. I started my sushi kushi trip with the chicken Katsudon, which seems a little less salty than the pork version, but still with the delicious egg and onion over rice. Then I finally tried the divine ginger steak-lunch that I want by default when I want the full feeling of red meat or my ginger-fix. If I want some light, I get the veggie-friendship or some light with some chewed guilt, the Tempoura lunch, both delicious. I always get a spicy salmon roll, and that may be my favorite place. I would also like to note that this is one of the few restaurants that we splash and also get starters. We'll get the Tatsuta ages that are like fried chicken nuggets, just here, they don't give you frozen Tyson like other restaurants we went to. These are legit, and perfectly included with a simple drizzle from the slice of lemon. We also love the veggie tempura. I am always surprised by the quality and variety of vegetables included. With what I think are different swamps, onions, sweet potatoes, broccoli, green beans, mushrooms, there is something for everyone, and it always seems like a greater variety than other restaurants. I also love Oldashi Tofu, but I'm a sucker for a nice fried tofu. I would give this restaurant 100 stars if I could."

"This was our second visit to the restaurant, and it lived up to the memories from our first trip. The place is beautiful, and we were fortunate to get one of the cozy booths. The service was excellent; our waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was amazing—we ordered spare ribs, Peking duck, dumplings, and sushi. If I had to choose again, I might skip the dumplings next time. Things felt a bit rushed towards the end as the restaurant got busier."

"I stumbled upon a fantastic restaurant at 38th and 2nd Ave. It's such a delightful spot, with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable. The service is impeccable—staff are attentive and always available when needed. If I were to own and run a restaurant, this is exactly how I would want it to be."

"This is a beautifully located restaurant on the top of a small mountaintop location that makes it feel like such an authentic Japanese location. I am giving 2 stars unfortunately do to the experience that we had at the restaurant (if you look at my profile I barely give 1 2 star reviews). The food was good, the drinks were good however our chef and server just didn?t have it tonight. No smiles, long waits and in general just not a pleasant attitude. The tables next to us were singing, laughing and tricks were being had. I?m sure for many the experience will be great, hopefully this can help provide some candid feedback to the restaurant management team."

"Recently Kobe visited for the first time on a Saturday evening with my amazing wife. I usually order Sashimi and this time I ordered for two because my wife wanted to join me in sharing the delicious fish. I would say it was very good quality fish (salmon, tuna, yellow tail, mackerel octopus). The best part was that she was a man and a woman duo on the piano guitar with top hits and every request. It was a surprise for us. The ambience is beautiful and cozy, as the restaurant is not too small or too large, which can sometimes be loud. You have many drinks to choose from a particularly good Sake selection. Will come back for the second time. The actors are only here on Saturdays."

"My grandnephew, who is in the military, and I were very impressed. The receptionist, Ely, greeted us with a big smile and cheerfully escorted us to our table. The lovely server, Andrea was just as warm, friendly, helpful, patient with my grandnephew’s concerns about his many food allergies. So was Maria, who was the temporary reliever. The prix fixe lunch was a steal at We both ordered the fried avocados for appetizer. I took the salmon my grandnephew the chicken for the main course. . For dessert, I had the tiramisu he took the cheesecake. Everything was delicious! To top it all, even though they closed the dining area for a break before dinner they started fixing things for a private party, they did not shoo us away. I asked Andrea a couple of times if we might be on the staff’s way she assured us we were not. (I have to say though that we got a little uncomfortable when a man who seemed like a supervisor (not sure) went in and gave us an eye So we happily continued our conversation which meant a lot to us because we hardly see each other especially when he was deployed. Keep up the good work, Tender!"

"We came into the restaurant, and there was no one to greet us and take us to our table. I ordered soup, and the waiter was nice and understanding, but when it arrived, it was so salty to the point where you almost couldn’t eat it. I asked the waiter to change it to a different soup, and it arrived UNSALTED with no flavour. The rolls were good, but the soy sauce we got with them was also disgusting."

"The food was terrible. The menu was small, which we understand, but not like a Japanese Sushi Place. Mainly sweet or spicy stuff. I would call it very Americanized. The service was wonderful. No complaints with that. Too bad"

"I love mamasushi because I don’t eat sushi but they have a. Good mamasushi roll which looks like sushi. My cousin had the lollipop lamb chop (2) pieces she enjoyed it. It also came with grilled bokChoy. I had a online reservation but had to call to move up the time. And people. They were very accommodating I love it here. The place had a Dj and the music wasn’t to my liking he did have the place happy and lively I enjoyed every bit of it me and my cousin danced all night. They had hookah for 35. It was good and lasted for sometime. My cousin had 2 drink and was drunk lol. I had a margarita with a. Champagne instead I kept it on the side. I had a wonderful time and would come again. The mama sushi roll It consist of bacon chicken plantains cream cheese. It came out in 10 mins and it was cold. I was starving from a long day. So I ate it. I also notice that when I have the same thing delivered It comes with 10 pieces maybe it the way they cut it. The manger probably asked was everything ok. I told him. And he gave me a. Fresher one. Not as hot as I would like it. But it’s cool. My friend who joined us order the lobster roll she enjoyed. We also celebrated her birthday. They had a choice of flan or red velvet as the birthday dessert . It wasn’t too crowed. They had high table or low tables. They had good lighting it was a bit cold from the door constantly opening. The staff all look good and was very friendly im picky but I knew this was the place. I’m also giving this place a 4 stars I just was so sad bout my cold food"

"Best Hibachi in town!!! I’ve gone here a many number of times and the service/food is always amazing. Today we had Ann and she was attentive, kind, and funny! I got the The Amazing Tuna roll which 10/10 recommend and my friend got the “Crazy Girl” which is also 10/10 “I’m probably going to get this every time”. I usually get the shrimp hibachi which is also 10/10, so this was a nice switch up for me. Our drinks are amazing, the margarita I’m drinking right now is divine. Whether you’re wanting dinner and a show or a spot at the bar, they got you covered!"
