"I have to respectfully disagree with my Yelp friend Edward's review of Lotus Garden. My family and I dined here tonight to celebrate the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival, and overall, we were pleased with our experience. With the exception of one dish (soy sauce poached chicken), we stuck to items on the menu. Each dish had both Chinese and English translations, except for dessert, which was only listed in English (assuming we Americans know how to indulge). The standout dish of the evening was the spicy black pepper steak, with its rich stir-fried black pepper flavor and hints of doubanjang and onions. The beef with broccoli was a typical Chinese-American dish, fresh and tasty but slightly too sweet. The soy sauce and rose wine poached chicken was tender and delicious, despite not being on the menu - a common dish in various Chinese regional cuisines. The fried chicken appetizer was a disappointment, dry and bland, but the Taiwanese pork chops were a hit, packed with Taiwanese-style BBQ flavors. The restaurant seems to have a Taiwanese influence, though they also offer Cantonese dishes. We had plenty of leftovers and the bill came out to $30 per person, a decent value."

"Came here during their 50% off special 2 weeks ago with my friends. We made a reservation a few days beforehand using Resy which was no problem at all. When we arrived, we were seated inside the booth seat. The waitress who served us, told us that due to Covid regulations, sharing food would not be allowed, so they did not give us separate plates. We ordered a medley of appetizers for each of us, from Wagyu sushi to shrimp dumplings. My favorite was definitely the cucumber salad, even though we got full at one point the cucumber did refresh us. We each ordered an udon dish, and did not expect them to be huge. They were bigger than our faces. As mentioned by my friends, the udon was delicious and the curry was really flavorful. I loved my Wagyu sukiyaki udon, as the broth was sweet and light; it really mixed well with the onion and the poached egg. The udon had soaked up the broth and adding the fried chicken from the appetizer, my appetite was satisfied. Came out of the restaurant full, and our bill was a fraction of the price $100), as it would be if we ordered original price. We did order drinks which were the original price, but unfortunately they did not have the drink I wanted that had matcha. Instead I got a their version of a Moscow mule, which was refreshing . As far as I know, the 50% special is still going, but I do recommend making a reservation."

"WORST restaurant experience of my life. The restaurant wasn't even half full when we arrived yet we got excuses nonstop- the bar was backed up, the sushi chef REFUSED to make our order with soy wrap, 2 entrees were delivered 25 min. after the rest, and perhaps the craziest was that we never received our white rice even after asking at least 3 times. It literally sits in a big pressure cooker near the service station. Our server offered for the manager to come over, she showed up 30 minutes later, pretending not to know about any of the issues we had experienced. I don't know what kind of drama is going on behind the scenes but keep it to yourselves. Or don't; it doesn't matter to us because we will NEVER be back!"

"My family and I visited this restaurant and were completely neglected by the waitstaff for 30 minutes straight. Despite trying to get their attention and politely request to place our order, we were continuously ignored. I would advise avoiding the tall waiter as he was incredibly disrespectful, prompting us to ultimately leave. I would rate this experience a zero if possible, but since I can't, I give it one star even though it doesn't deserve that. Stay away from this place."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious, but the service can be slow due to only two staff members working. There seems to be a consistent issue with receiving vegetable egg rolls instead of the shrimp ones that were ordered. Additionally, the combo meal is supposed to include a pork egg roll, but consistently comes with a cabbage egg roll instead."

"Went there for dinner. Had to wait at front till someone came to show us to a table. Staff was friendly and the menu is extensive. We ordered Mandarin duck and Cantonese duck. Told it would be 25 minute wait on duck entree, that's fine. We had appetizers and drinks while we waited. When food was ready, it was the wrong dish, not Mandarin duck, but duck with mushrooms. That dish was more expensive than what I had ordered. They knew it was wrong item and still served it, we had to tell them it was wrong and they blame it on their cook. We were told it would be another 25 minutes to cook correct dish. We said we're not waiting another half hour for them to cook the correct dish. We ate some of the mushroom dish and it was very sweet and too much sauce drowning duck meat. So I only ate small portion of it and most of rice instead. Very disappointing and Cantonese duck claimed to come with rice pancakes. They were rice tortillas?! Complained to management and were still charged for more expensive wrong dish. We got our lemonades free, big deal! Never going back there."

"I really enjoyed the chicken and broccoli at this restaurant - it had more flavor than any other place in the area. However, I was disappointed with the appetizers. The fried wontons were small and hard, I prefer them to be bigger and crispier like the ones in soup. The shrimp toast had a different taste than I'm used to, but it was prepared nicely. The boneless spare ribs could use more sauce and be barbequed like our favorite place. On the other hand, the crab rangoons and egg rolls were really good. Despite the appetizer issues, we will continue coming back for the delicious chicken and broccoli. Keep up the good work!"

"Absolutely delicious! We had our first experience at Koch Co tonight, and it was fantastic all around. We sampled four different dishes: the garlic noodles, noodles in Beijing sauce, seafood tom yum soup, and their cattle feed tomato soup. Everything was fresh, bursting with flavor, and still hot when I brought it home. We've found a new favorite spot! Highly recommended!"

"I?ve tried at least 4 other Chinese food restaurants in the Bel Air area and absolutely in love with this places? food!! I just happened to be out of my usual journey home due to an appointment and thought I would give this place a try do to some review ona Bel Air fb group..I am 100% SOLD!!
