Two crispy fried rolls filled with a savory mixture of seasoned cabbage, carrots, and meat, served with a tangy dipping sauce.

"Most nearby Thai restaurants are closed on Sundays, so this was a pleasant surprise that they open on a Sunday. We ordered by phone without even looking at the menu, and the staff knew what the dishes we asked are. All came down to $60+, on the expensive side but it 's fine we are trying for the first time. Said the order ready in 15 min which is pretty fast compared to others. The interior was fancier than many other Thai because it has a bar. But that also gives you an idea that the food is more tailored for American taste buds. Pad Thai Tofu there 's a lack of the Pad Thai strong fermentation flavor, so while it probably appeases the general public, it doesn 't have that unique flavor that so many can 't stand. It 's more like tomato ketchup noodles, which is delicious in itself, but just not what I think is a good pad thai. Severely lacking the sour profile. Additional missing ingredients is bean sprouts! Instead they have red and white chopped cabbage. Again, while pretty delicious, it 's just lacks the authentic flavor , even tho the dish itself is not authentic by any means. Tofu is fried and just OK. They still had the crushed peanuts so that 's good. My husband likes this better than the more authentic version. Pad kee mao beef this was really really disappointing. While it 's good that it 's not spicy (I 've never had a pad kee mao that 's not spicy... because our kids can eat it, the flavor is nothing like pad kee mao. Just salty, particularly the eggs. Flavor of basil is very very muted and limited. Beef cuts are tough to chew. They didn 't give a lot of noodles but gave a lot of veggies, which is great!! But the veggies are like not authentic to Thai food, it 's just mixed Asian stir fry veggies like mini corn and water chestnut. Along with bell peppers. Very interesting and weird combo. I like the veggie component, it 's just not what I could consider pad kee mao. Probably wouldn 't order again. Completely missing the taste profile. Lad nar beef this wasn 't bad, but they used Chinese broccoli instead? Beef is not coated or tenderized so it 's tough to eat. Sauce is OK, but lack the sweetness. Just very muted Thai flavors to appease the general public. If you are looking for strong Thai flavors, this place is not it. The food itself is still tasty. This one is not as weird as pad kee mao. Probably would order again for the kids. Fish cake appetizer this imo was done better than other places, I liked how fluffy and fried it is, it 's much softer than other places. Loved the spices and herby tastes, which is similar to others. Probably sourced from the same place so it generally tastes similar. The dipping sauce has cucumber and crushed peanuts like other places. A bit more syrupy than other places but tastes the same. Thai iced tea this one I think it 's done better than other more traditional Thai places. I liked the distinction of the tea flavor at the bottom and the milk up top. It doesn 't taste like premade mix like other places even if they used the same method. I can actually taste the tea here. Also love the handle and design of the carry out version. Would order again! Overall I think it 's a pretty OK place for Thai food. Something fast and edible, and fancier than others. The portion size is equal or smaller than other places. I think I might reserve this place as a second option for Sunday cravings of Thai food."

"Shady, shady, New Star! So long story, less long, 18% service charge applied to party of 3, didn't catch it so they got a $36 service fee/gratuity. I always appreciate when places pay you the courtesy of informing you that they plan to add a service charge. In this case they did not. It was not posted anywhere that I noticed. Plus I think it's intentional the way the itemized receipt is attached to the restaurants copy , you are less inclined to take it with you and really review. I mean we had a drink on our tab so the total seemed right ????. Shame on us for trusting but not verifying. Anyway, I always tip in cash because as a previous service worker I appreciated the generous cash tips moreso than tips on cards. So I paid the tab signed the receipt and then I placed $25 gratuity in the billfold. I think $25 on a $65 tab is GREAT! Left New Star and sat in my car reconciling my and that's when I noticed that 18% service charge. Anyway, for this reason and because my stomach was a little upset after dining, I probably won't go back. I hope New Star takes this note and posts for the people."

"I visited for the first time on a Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM in late July. The restaurant was quite busy, with only two servers and one host/cashier on duty. There was a long wait to place our orders, followed by an even longer wait for our food. One dish, the Teriyaki Steak, was served 7 to 10 minutes after our three other Chinese entrees. Unfortunately, the Teriyaki Steak was tough and lacked flavor, while both the Lo Mein and Cashew Chicken had average taste and quality. At over $15, the meal felt like a poor value. I likely won't be returning."

"This Asian buffet delivers exactly what you'd expect. To ensure freshness, it's best to visit during busy hours. The sushi is tasty, and the Mongolian grill option is a nice touch. As for kid-friendliness, there are plenty of simple choices like fried chicken, mac and cheese, and jello that will keep the little ones happy."

"We have been here many times with our children, and date nights.. with many amazing memories created. However.. tonight was another story! Celebrating a birthday we decided to call and get a table for our family to enjoy the table cooking with some sushi.. Let me say, the chef cooking the food at our table was clearly under the influence of a substance. He was sweating, stuttering his words, and unable to remember the cooking process, where he was and what had been cooked. In total he left the cooking area 3 separate times during the cooking process.. after 1 hour and 32 minutes my family and the other family we were sitting with had seen enough. The waiter asked if everything was okay, I simply said it was not, and our experience was not up to the level we have had previously on many occasions. HE LITERALLY LAUGHED at me.. I said it's not funny. Basically we paid and left. To think that someone cooking with folks in front of them, lighting fires is under the influence is astonishing. At one point he poured the entire oil bottle on the grill, then instead of cleaning it up he proceeded to light it on fire. The show that is normal had nothing on this fury of fire.. oil splatter everywhere on the plates, and my family. A member of the management or ownership should contact me, as a loyal customer and industry person myself this is a liability. We paid for a horrible dinner. Sad"

"I had the pleasure of dining at a hibachi restaurant where I experienced exceptional service from a fantastic waitress. From the moment we were seated, her warm smile and friendly demeanor made us feel welcome. Throughout the entire meal, she was attentive and efficient, going above and beyond to ensure our glasses were never less than half full. Her impeccable attention to detail was remarkable, as she seemed to know exactly when we needed a refill, allowing us to fully enjoy the lively hibachi show and delicious food. Her extensive knowledge of the menu helped us make informed choices, and her genuine enthusiasm for the cuisine added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. This waitress's exceptional service, dedication, and ability to keep our drinks consistently filled surpassed all expectations. Her presence truly enhanced our dining experience, and we look forward to returning to experience her fantastic service once again."

"The food here looks great and is very well presented. I appreciated the waiting area with the fish tank, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. My delivery arrived on time and was all set to go. The staff member I encountered was very friendly."

"I ordered the walleye dinner to go and also enjoyed the steak along with two sizzling rice entrees while dining in. Everything was absolutely fantastic! We were so excited to start eating that I didn't even take any photos. This place is a dependable choice for high-quality meals. The amazing steak and walleye dishes often get overshadowed, as most diners typically gravitate towards the classic chow mein. The waitstaff are very friendly and efficient, and the kitchen team clearly knows their craft. I believe it's the oldest restaurant in Bloomington, and a new carpet would definitely help with the ambiance. However, if you're there just for the food, you won't be disappointed!"

"Hunan Inn delivered in the service category. The owner and staff were friendly, attentive, and quick. I ordered a luncheon special of Mongolian beef. It came with a cup of egg drop soup, spring roll, fried rice, and crunchy rice noodles. I was suffering from a slight cold when I visited Hunan Inn, and the egg drop soup was a bit too mild for me to truly taste. The consistency was spot on, however. The fried rice and spring roll were very straightforward and standard. Both were freshly prepared and added substance to the lunch. The Mongolian beef and crunchy rice noodles delivered. The beef was sweet, salty, tender, and expertly prepared. The noodles added a welcome crunch to round things out. All in all, this was a pleasant lunch experience."

"I didn?t go here expecting a great meal, and the food wasn?t outstanding. I ordered the combination lo mein?a huge portion, pretty greasy, decent (but generally bland) flavor. Not great, but not bad?it satisfied ?that? craving. That said, I wassurprised by the prices. The combination lo mein (take out) came out to $12.90, which struck me as overpriced given its quality(and lower prices for comparable dishes elsewhere). I also didn?t appreciate that the same dish had two different prices onmenus in the restaurant?$8.70 on one, $9.10 on another?and yet it still came out to $13. Felt misleading."

"I instantly fell in love with this restaurant when it opened in West Rome. Despite not being able to dine in for a few months due to COVID-19, I continued to order takeout from Golden Crown. The food is simply delicious! The environment is well-maintained and clean when I pick up my orders. It is now my favorite restaurant in the city and I will definitely be returning often."

"We chose to take the family here to celebrate one of the kids birthday 's. None of them had experienced hibachi style cooking and we were so excited to finally introduce them to it. I made a reservation. Showed up 15 min early but they sat us right away. The onion soup was amazing. How does broth taste so good? I don 't know but it was so good. Our chef was pretty awesome. They asked if I preferred a certain chef. Being our first time I just asked for a fun one since it was their first time and we were celebrating. Though there were other more interactive chefs, ours was still good. Snarky and sarcastic which was right up my alley. I might ask for a more kid-friendly one next time we take the kids. The food was great. I had steak with add-on shrimp. I tried someof the kids chicken. Superb. Worth every penny. Which brings me to another point (because I 've left a review on a different restaurant who didn 't disclose the info). I appreciate that at the top of the menu in big clear letters We charge 18% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. It 's nice to not get hit with that surprise. The service and food was amazing. We will definitely be back."

"terrible. on 20th February 2015 my family and I went to fortune home to eat dinner. it is usually quiet and they have decent chineses. Except in this night, the owner cried at the top of her lungs at one of her new associates, accused her of stealing money and ordering up to running that this girl said that only 15-16 years old and always very nice when we came in. that was disturbing to observe, an adult woman who screams at one of her coworkers during our dinner, the restaurator was full and christine put this young girl in tears...absolutley shameful. I will not come back to spend money at a place where the owners treat the hired with such disrespect, just to...more"
