"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant since I recently moved to the area. I was very impressed with the food. The zucchini pancakes were delicious and cooked perfectly. Although the lamb burger wasn't amazing, they followed my instructions exactly - no cheese and well-done meat. I appreciate their attention to detail. The order arrived on time, within an hour. I had asked the delivery person to leave the food with the concierge in the lobby to avoid bothering them, but he still came up to my apartment and politely knocked on my door twice when I didn't hear him the first time. I give them 5 stars for their efforts to go above and beyond."

"We went early for dinner Saturday, not busy. Food was so delicious! Staff was friendly and accommodating. They brought us separate checks without asking (we were a group of 3 friends). I would love to return to try more food from the menu. I had vegetable stew with lamb (highly recommend), one of my friends had falafel that looked really good. I wanted a traditional aperitif so I had the lion's milk. It is not for those who dislike anise or licorice flavor! I happen to enjoy it. With dinner a Turkish red wine paired nicely. Overall, very satisfying. I had to finish the lamb stew next day (still amazing)."

"The Mixed Grill is fantastic! If it's your first time having Turkish food and you don't know what to choose, the platter gives you a generous amount of the most popular meats in The Turk's repertoire, so you don't have to choose one and worry you might not like it as much as another (which I realized wasn't a problem after I had some because they were all delicious They also have an awesome host. I was picking my food up and he greeted me and let me know my food would be out in a couple minutes. He offered me Turkish tea (on the house! and brought it out in a to-go cup for me to take in the car once my food was ready. While I sipped my tea and waited another customer came in to order food to go. The host helped the customer with figuring out what she wanted and since it was her first time, he gave her a dessert to take home and try, also on the house! The Turk has tasty food, kind staff, and I can't wait for my next meal there."

"In May 2022 I threw my friend a 40th birthday party at this restaurant, and 20 friends came. I worked with Alina, a manager there, and she helped me come up with a perfect family style meal that fit our budget. It was a Tuesday night so we had their beautiful enclosed patio to ourselves. They decorated with flowers on the table and it was gorgeous! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was so nice, the service was wonderful, and they made the birthday girl feel very special with the birthday song they played over the speakers and the sparkler candles. It was a perfect night! It was affordable for everyone, wonderful food, and a fun environment. Couldn?t have picked a better place, definitely recommend for large parties!"

"I absolutely loved my experience here! MashaAllah ! As soon as I walked in this restaurant, I was greeted with a kind good afternoon. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. I was seated immediately with no wait time, my waitress so so friendly and she was always present I didn't have to wonder where she went. The food came out within a reasonable time. I ordered their feta cheese plate, which was so savory with the added olives and olive oil. After wards I ordered the sirloin steak with rice, the steak was cooked to perfection and the spices were amazing. For desert I had the turkish coffee with baklava, the baklava was so crispy and crunchy and satisfying. I would recommend this establishment to everyone ! Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, and amazing, high quality food. 10/10 amazing."

"I love Turkish food and wanted so hard to love this place. Asked for Ayran to drink and though they made was lacking saltseasoning. I got the mixed grill and good thing since out of five items only two were boderline ok and others seemed incorrectly seasoned and reheated old left overs. Most of these items would have been easily surpassed by street vendor food. In retrospect the fact that I was the only customer meant locals must have already figured out"

"Though the business was more of a take out eatery, there were still about 6 tables where you could sit down and eat. I ordered the lamb kabobs, and although they were slightly chewy which was my fault for ordering it medium rather than medium rare), they were very well seasoned. My son and I also ordered the zucchini pancakes, which were very well seasoned, pan-fried, and crunchy. It was a large portion and came with a tzatsiki sauce. The photo is only one of the 3 large pancakes, cut up. They are located at the main intersection in Westwood, diagonally across from the railroad station. You can park on the main road if you can find a spot or across the street in one of the metered parking spaces next to the tracks."

"for years we have been eating in the original akdeniz (19 west 46th street.) in which it was the original akdeniz that recommended us this restaurant (310 west 53rd street) when it was already booked. at the time, the original acknowledgement assured us that everything is the same in the newer acdeniz. but unfortunately this information was not correct. the new akdeniz has not prix fixed dinner, has not raki or ouzo (no alcohol license), and has not so many desserts. [ Fortunately, the auberginensalat was just as delicious. my salmon grape leaves were less abundant than usual and the fish of my man was overfished. Of course, although the owners were pleasant and tried to meet, we are wounded with a higher bill for much less satisfying food and drink. we will look for another restaurant when we go to the west 50s to the theater. last Friday we went to studio 54, a comfortable but disappointing restaurant choice."

I watched while the kerl my gyro with the same hands that handle with money touches the register, makes the phone, cuts the hull and puts the knife handle on the tip of the pita brot, to take another order, treated cash, goes back to get the pita brot and then on just one glove while the pita with the other barely handles it. do not wash or use a sanitizer! 2022! I wanted to talk to him about it, but I decided to write a review. "I made a reservation for this place two weeks prior to my birthday and the day I went there the restaurant was closed even though they send me a reminder a day before my birthday about my reservation so I went there with about people and it was closed when I called the restaurant the guy who picked up said that the cook didn't come in today and the kitchen is closed it was so embarrassing the most moment ever we had to go some where else never make a reservation no one checks them there all computer based waste of time and ruined my birthday never never never again and my friends also gave this place a bad rating it sucks"

"We started with the complimentary warm, fresh bread and black olives. When the bread is delicious, I take it as a sign of good food coming. I wasn't disappointed. I had the lamb shank (although I added some salt pepper) The meat fell off the bone. We asked our waitress (CeeCee who was excellent) for a desert recommendation and she suggested the almond pudding. I was a little skeptical, If you like almonds, you'll Love it. It was delicious, with almonds just blended well and a little crunchy."

"We did not have a good lunch experience. The room temp was cold when we arrived, enough to keep jackets on. The server wasn't very friendly. The lentil soup arrived with no bread or even crackers of some Kind, but it was hot. Two dishes we wanted, vegetable stew and zucchini pancakes were not available. We ordered sigara borek instead. Very salty. Yes feta is naturally salty , but this was like eating just salt. 2 soups, 1 app and tip was $30. Not worth it, even if the decor is appealing."

As soon as regular customers walk in, Sammy greets them and asks if they want their usual, making them feel like family. "While our meals were being prepared, we decided to pre-order a selection of the mouthwatering desserts from their extensive bakery, which is a must-try! It was the perfect way to wrap up our meal. I just wish this place were closer to my home! However, if I'm ever near Smith Haven Mall again, I will definitely return to this restaurant. "Fantastic Mediterranean cuisine! I had the lamb Adana accompanied by lebneh and hummus, followed by baklava for dessert. The flavors were delicious, and the service was quick and attentive. "I absolutely love Mediterranean cuisine, though I’ve never had Turkish food, I was expecting more flavor. Maybe it could be just me but it left little to be desired and did not keep well as leftovers. The meat as I know it to be prepared is mixed with spices and herbs but I tasted NONE of that in the chicken. The rice is not basmati, maybe jasmine but I think they could use a more flavorful rice especially since the meat isn’t well seasoned. It was a very bland experience. I ordered the Chicken Adana and they should really provide two scoops of rice to balance the protein portion. I got Doogh which is a Persian drink I forgot what they call it in Turkey, anyway, that was the more tasteful part of my meal. The atmosphere is serene and I hate that the food doesn’t match cuz I would definitely take myself out here to read had the food been good. Glad I came as I passed this place sometimes and was curious but I won’t be returning. Parking: Very SMALL parking lot enough for maybe 4 5 cars.
