"Carlos was absolutely rude and should not be a manager. He served me on a dirt napkin the first drink. I ordered a Mango Margarita. I noticed that Carlos did not even pour 2 oz of tequila in the drink. He free poured for 2 secs. I tasted it and it was watered down. I then asked him what he would reccommend and he was very short and nasty with me. Saying I dont know I like them all just pick already. I asked for him to make another one this one top shelf since it tasted watered down. Carlos then pours Luna Azul Tequila which is not Top Shelf! Carlos then shakes up the drink again without putting fresh ice in a cup. Once again its watered down. Carlos was being very rude and discriminatory towards me and I frequent this location a lot for lunch. I have never felt so disrespected and insulted in my life. Carlos needs to be demoted and another person in place that actually cares about making drinks."

"My boyfriend and I heard that this was a good local restaurant a while back so we decided to try somewhere new for a date night. We recently went and was completely disappointed! $7 for one empanda. Our food had no flavor and was kind of cold. I had fish tacos that were soggy. My boyfriend had the rice bowl burnt meat and all lettuce and tomatoes. Plus no one informed us about the prices of the alcohol. Paid $12 for 2 Coronas. Our meal ended up being over $50 for food we took home that we tossed out."

"to walk around 12:45-1:15 (mid of lunch) ordered a half pitcher of the margaritas queso fundido, 20 minutes later margarita did not end any queen. bartender who speaks with the customer at the bar, manager sitting alone on a table, maybe 8 customers total at 3 tables = not very busy. When I ask for the queen bartender check kitchen, come back and asks if we still want it. queso fundido? no. queso fundido in her fundio? yes! paid for drinking left without appetizer, meals at least 2 more half pitcher of margaritas we had planned. the first time after closing into a restaurant, our goal was to keep it under $200.00 they saved us at least $175.00 only by ignoring us. the manager still sat on the table and did nothing when we were gone."

"Not at all what I expected from the photo, but in a good way! Photos looked like any other dry ish burrito. This was a flavorful plate of awesome the sauce was great, jalapenos were freshly pickled. Olives in the burrito is odd but worked great. Really good meat. Quite pleased!"

"Will always come back.. I know for a fact from going through several restaurants they keep their kitchen clean. The food is almost always fantastic. My favorites are the vegetarian combo (with personal tweaks such as black beans The Chillies Relejnos made with the Pablanos. The Salsa Verde (green sauce is always great, as well as the brown hot, the Pico is usually above par. The Sour Cream sauce is delicious! The variety and the way they allow you to modify your meal if necessary is great. <br/ <br/ Very good food, and very polite and dedicated owner. I worked here and I still keep coming back because the food really is just too good to stay away. :"

"Food is NOT GREAT NOR GOOD.We a party of 9. All our beans had zero salt. And cold. The supposedly hand made tortillas were ridiculous thick. More like a sope yes.I guarantee it's no a mexican making them. The fajitas were 80 percent veggies and 20 percent meat. This restaurant can't be any cheaper. I asked for a chile toriado it came almost at the end. The kids burritos are actually taco flour tortillas the smallest there can be in the grocery store. It was my birthday and was brought a old and saggy taste piece of cheesecake. The conclusion is that there cheap and don't care about quality. THEY Go around to fill plates.. to profit.The waiter didn't even come to see if okay or if we needed anything. Oh but they sure put their own gratitude on the bill even do the service was the worst.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT."

"I usually have a great experience at this restaurant, but my visit tonight was quite disappointing. When ordering over the phone, it's important to be very specific about what you want. Don’t let them persuade you into choosing a different dish—especially when it comes to Arroz Checo’s. There's a significant difference between Arroz Special (which I didn’t want) and Arroz Checo’s. Additionally, the beef in the burrito special I ordered was cold in the center. Overall, it was a letdown. I think I will hold off on returning for a while."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant; it exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious, and the portions were quite generous. We decided to share a plate, and our server thoughtfully split the dishes for us, which was a nice touch. The salsa had a delightful smoky flavor from being roasted, and the chips were a good amount as well. I was a bit surprised that they charged for chips and salsa, considering it's a Mexican cantina. The Long Island I ordered was decent but could have used more flavor—though it wasn't terrible. The atmosphere was lively and busy, but I definitely plan to return. While it is a bit pricey for a cantina, it's still fairly reasonable. I would recommend this place!"

"When the chips arrived at my table, they were still warm and crispy. Our waiter, Jessie, provided excellent service, making the meal even better. I can't wait to return with a bigger group next time. Inside, the decor was vibrant, with beautiful colors and lighting that created a delightful ambiance—nothing I would change! Hats off to the chefs for their hard work; the whole staff was in a great mood, which added to the wonderful experience. I had the enchiladas, while my husband ordered something different. "The restaurant was quite busy around 1 PM, but we were seated quickly. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, and while they have a selection of wine and beer, they don't serve hard liquor or cocktails. The food was delicious, fresh, and generously portioned. The service was friendly and prompt. Prices were reasonable considering today’s market rates. We met a friend at 1:15, and there was an available table. We ended up staying for two hours and didn’t feel rushed at all, even though two other tables were occupied until about 3 PM. I definitely plan to return!"

"I normally don’t write reviews but was at Mis Suenos tonight for dinner for my best friends birthday and I found a hair in my dinner, not my hair, it was buried inside the fajitas I ordered and I pulled out the hair, showing and letting the waiter know (never mentioned his name as nobody wears name tags there) and he didn’t even really say anything just asking me if I wanted another order of fajitas, and shrugged it off, we also had to ask for everything instead of being asked by our waiter, I then received the bill, the waiter offered nothing for the inconvenience nor did the manager, not even an apology, I go up to the bar and explain to the manager what happened and he says “it’s ok” no, it’s not ok, I am not looking for a free meal nor a hand out, but at least an apology or take my dinner off the bill, I too work in customer service and this restaurant obviously does not care about customer service, I work a very demanding job and was looking forward to a nice birthday dinner and drinks with my best friend and have a good time, but this experience ruined the evening, we will not be back as the manager or waiter didn’t seem to care. Absolutely terrible customer service!"

"I arrived with my friends to Manuel's Mexican Restaurant after receiving a glowing recommendation from one of my dear friends who has spent time in Arizona. We had a big group and were expecting a wait the length of the Titanic feature film. However, they were able to accommodate our sizable party with delight. They PROMPTLY brought us some chips and salsa. The chips seemed as though they needed a splash of that sensational Arizona sun, as they appeared a tad pale in nature. However, the taste of the tortilla chips did not disappoint, especially paired with the guacamole that was filled with cheese and other smackerels of goodness. The servers checked in on us FREQUENTLY so we never had to wait to order more delicacies from their menu. Each bite of food felt as though I was transported to Mexico and back to Tempe. The margaritas also filled my soul with purpose. I am a margarita enthusiast and was thrilled by the tequila infusion in my veins each time that the straw journeyed its way to my mouth and I began to slurp upon the authentic flavors of Mexico. The staff and my friends all together made this experience at Manuel's one that I will hold dear to my heart until it stops beating. I do not currently reside in this area but tonight at Manuel's has convinced me that I must pack up my life and start over in this area to allow me to consume the nourishment that this establishment provided to my taste buds. I recommend this place to anyone who eats and drinks."

"Please keep in mind; this was a DoorDash order, which ultimately comes to your own opinion with the matter: The stuffed sopapilla plate was exceptional, and they did follow instructions... But when I dug into the chips and queso it became very apparent I was given leftovers from prior orders. The chips within the bag had crusted over pieces of chile and cheese obviously from the queso dip from who knows how long ago. That has to be illegal and obviously against food safety orders. Do better. Unfortunately I ate some of my plate before realizing or I would have tossed the entire order in the trash."

"Great fantastic Mexican food big restaurants the people who work there, the servers they just run out so friendly, they really care about their customers. The restaurant was very clean great drinks. They have a bar on one side of the building and they have a restaurant on the other side of the building and they are always packed so if you make a reservation or go into it is a great place to eat and I give it five stars and thumbs up. I had so much fun with our party we had 12 people in our group names ensure that each of us was taken care of and happy so that I have the meat good place to have a lot of fun near me and drink"
