"Nice place very colorful. BYOB and they made us our sangria while we waited for the other couple to show. Tasted good with little pieces of fruit was nice change. The guys had ground beef enchiladas which were filled nicely and bubbly hot with melted cheese. Tasted very fresh. One of the ladies had taco salad which was big and nice amount of shredded chicken. Other one got a triple combo with enchilada, chimichanga and burrito. First two had ground beef last had shredded chicken. All were good although she seem to taste a curry flavor with the red sauce. Neither of us boys elthat had enchiladas with the red sauce had that flavor though. Service was fast and friendly. We asked if they had a military discount and they came back with 10% discount which was nice. Great place all around!"

"I just had to share my love for Casa Vallarta it's hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! The moment I walk in, I'm greeted with such a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for a fantastic dining experience.Let me tell you, the food options are simply amazing! As a vegetarian, it's sometimes tough to find delicious choices, but Casa Vallarta has got it down. Their tacos and burritos with beans instead of meat are my absolute go to, and they're bursting with flavor! Now, let's talk about the guacamole it's out of this world! Creamy, fresh, and oh so delicious, it's the perfect accompaniment to the main dishes. I find myself craving it all the time. The only thing that could be improved is the corn and cheese elote. I've had some incredible elote in Texas, and while Casa Vallarta's version is good, I think there's room to make it even better. All in all, Casa Vallarta is a delightful place to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. With its variety of vegetarian options and friendly staff, it's become a regular spot for my husband and me. If you're a fan of Mexican food, I highly recommend giving it a try. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!Vegetarian options: Just ask for beans instead of meat, anything can be made with beans :D"

"The only thing good here is their nachos and ice water. The arroz con pollo I had was slop. Utter slop. I thank God I'm not rushing to the restroom right now. The nachos was good. The fried ice cream was drenched in whip cream and chocolate syrup. It was like made by a high schooler. I should have walked out when I saw the vacuum parked in the dining room and the stacks of soft drinks in the dining room. I regret eating here but oh well. The server was nice but my table was dirty when she sitted me there. Eww"

"So I am new to the area. I like to try compare restaurants especially w/ so many Mexican restaurants available. I went in around 10:15 pm, only 2-3 customers. I ordered guacamole with chips 3 tacos. The guacamole was full of large pieces of onions, more onions than avocado. And for the amount they serve you the price they're charging it's a rip off to give so little avocado and try to mask it by loading it with onions. The tacos lacked flavor and were skimpy with the meat. Even the sauces did not taste flavorful. And let me tell you I was starving, which usually at that point everything tastes like a gourmet meal. Not in this case. Just go down the block and head to Grito instead."

"This was my third visit to El Pueblito, and I have yet to find a single dish on the menu that isn’t outstanding. I finally decided to try the Lengua Asada tonight, and it did not disappoint—tender and full of flavor, especially with the chimichurri adding an extra kick. However, my daughter wouldn’t try the Lengua because she knew what it was. The guacamole was superb, and we wrapped up our meal with delicious sopapillas."

"We went to have a nice quirt dinner to celebrate a birthday. At first the atmosphere was fair to good. we ordered a pitcher of margaritas and had dinner served. The waiter arrived carrying the dinner plates with mitts telling us t o be careful as the plates were very hot. If he hadn't used the mitts he would have realized that the plates and food were barely warm. Then in walks a sweet little lady with her even more beautiful dog. It was clear that it wasn't a service dog. The next thing I find is her dog in our booth, on the bench seat and the table. We are dog owners. They are never allowed on our table at home and clearly don't expect one to be on our dining table I went to a waiter and he just said she comes into the restaurant from time to time. They allow it !!!! Wow! I ended up making myself out to be ass telling this person that she doesn't belong here and to go away. How horrible. Something I never expected that I would ever have to do. Not ever. I don't care if their food was the best in the county, I would never go back there again. As I said before the food was cold and not very good."

"We had called to see if we could have a party of 10 at 7:30 tonight. We were told yes, no problem. I hate leaving bad reviews because I know everyone has an off day, me included But, we did not feel welcome from the moment we came in. We were seated right away along with chips and salsa. It took another 20 minutes to get offered anything to drink (2 other tables and 2 people at bar total). They made it very clear we really weren't welcome. My Taco Salad was a cold stale shell with probably 2tablespoons of lettuce and a chopped up chicken leg a tablespoon of sour cream and guacamole. Margaritas are not as advertised either. I'm pretty sure my Puerto was orange juice with 1/2 shot of bar rail tequila, did not have grand marnier(but we paid for it)! Awful awful awful! They honestly could care less and how sad! We came in smiling and happy wanting to support a business in the community. They obviously could care less"

"Not impressed. They were busy but we were sat quickly. And the server was friendly and nice. Took a long time for someone to come and bring water, our salsa was not refilled even when we asked for some more. When our order arrived I think we were all a bit disappointed. The food didn’t seem fresh, it wasn’t very flavorful and over all not what we expected. We ordered the steak fajitas and they came out warm, but most of the onions were uncooked and raw. The pico that came with the fajitas had an odor to it that seemed off and sadly the rice was hard and dry like it had been sitting out. We did order a margarita which came out very strong and that was nice. We will not be coming back."

"I have been a patron of Cafe Azteca since they were situated in the back of Overby's Antiques. After that building burned down and they relocated, I continued to visit. Even though I moved away for 17 years, I returned for a visit as soon as I came back. The food is still amazing! While prices have increased since the early '90s, that seems to be the case everywhere. Their salsa and chips are the best I have ever tasted, and they truly serve the best Mexican food in the Jackson Metroplex. Whenever work brings me this way, I always make sure to grab takeout!"

"I recently dined at Mariachi in Millburn and it was a delightful experience! The restaurant has a beautiful Mexican decor that is truly stunning. The service was friendly and attentive, and there was a wide variety of Mexican dishes to choose from, including some unique house specialties. All of the entrees we tried were delicious and came out quickly. From steak to fish tacos to ceviche, everything was well-prepared and flavorful. The fajitas Mariachi were a standout dish. For dessert, we enjoyed flan (the best I've ever had), pistachio cheesecake, tres leches cheesecake, and a flourless chocolate cake - the perfect end to a wonderful meal. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed. The dining area has a lovely Mexican theme, creating a beautiful atmosphere that isn't too noisy, which made for a pleasant experience. Since it was a Sunday, the restaurant wasn't crowded. I ordered the combination plate with a shredded beef enchilada and a chile relleno; both were large, although the chile relleno was on the smaller side. The salsa was mild and could have used a bit more spice for my liking. My server, Cassie, was very friendly and attentive, ensuring my coffee cup was always full. I will definitely be looking forward to my next visit."

"I've been going to Don Carlos for years and years..new menu, horrible attitude, it's like they don't want to help you, not the older staff but new people, family atmosphere is not here anymore, sure the food is awesome but if I feel like I'm not wanted I won't spend my money here anymore..and they didn't get my order right, it's what I wanted not what you wanted to give me.."

"**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price Range:** $30–50 **Food:** ★★☆☆☆ **Service:** ★★★★☆ **Atmosphere:** ★★★☆☆ I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and the experience left me with mixed feelings. The food was disappointing, earning just two stars. The flavors didn't quite hit the mark, and I expected more given the price range. However, the service was a highlight of the evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, which definitely improved the overall experience and deserves four stars. As for the atmosphere, it was decent but not particularly memorable; I would rate it three stars. Overall, while I appreciated the service, I would need to see improvements in the food before I consider returning."
