"The food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. Unlike many Mexican restaurants I've visited, where dishes often lack color and the sides are dull, this place stood out. The rice was of a higher quality, and the addition of poblano peppers and corn made it truly memorable and tasty. Similarly, the black beans, which are usually bland, were excellently seasoned. I ordered the chicken Pibil, which was aromatic and tender—no easy feat for chicken in a restaurant. My wife had the steak, which was also tender and cooked to perfection. I usually skip dessert when dining out, but since everything had been so impressive, I decided to try the flan—and I was not disappointed. It was the perfect way to end a delightful evening with a wonderful staff."

"As soon as we arrived, we were served chips and dips while our drink orders were taken. Each of us ordered something different from the menu, and our meals arrived quickly after we placed our orders. I typically go for the Carne Asada, and I have to say it was the best I've had—the beef was thicker and bursting with flavor. To our delight, my grandson absolutely loved his meal and still had room for dessert! We couldn’t resist trying the desserts either, including cheesecake tacos, flan, and fried ice cream. They were all delicious. The staff was both professional and friendly, making us feel right at home. I will definitely be coming back!"

"I encountered an issue with an online special that they didn't seem to know about. I ended up having to speak with a manager and show him their own website just to get the deal, which was a bit pointless at that stage. The food was decent but nothing to rave about, and I found it a bit overpriced. Our table felt like it was practically in the parking lot, and the loud music made it really hard to have a conversation. Am I satisfied? Not at all. I’d prefer to eat at Taco Bell instead of this place."

"This restaurant is extremely disorganized! They don't have consistent hours and open and close whenever they feel like it. I've never been able to reach them by phone to ask about their hours. I have no idea who runs this place or what's going on, but it has gone from being an average family restaurant to a real disappointment. There's a lack of updates and maintenance, both inside and out, which is very apparent. There's not much positive to say about this place anymore. I really don’t understand how they’re still in business; perhaps this is why they have such erratic hours. I definitely suggest looking elsewhere for dining options."

"My husband and I decided to go for dinner, and we were eating an ordered meal. "Unfortunately, the food was inedible. As a Mexican, I really wanted to enjoy this meal because their website claims they use authentic and fresh ingredients. I ordered my food through DoorDash. The churros made me feel violently ill, there was little to no meat in the fajitas, and they looked old. The queso was watery and flavorless, and the chips were stale. The only positive aspect was the tortillas, which seemed to be handmade, and that's why I'm giving it one star. The rice and beans were old and not good—just very disappointing. Thankfully, I was able to get half my money back from DoorDash. Thank you, DoorDash."

"I absolutely loved this restaurant. I ordered the Quesabirria and I must say, I am very particular about my Birria. The dish was delicious, and by adding a bit of salt to the broth, I was able to enhance the spice flavor even more. The extra hot salsa served with the dish was a great addition. The meat and cheese inside the tortillas was fantastic and there was plenty of it. The dish also came with rice, which I poured the leftover broth onto, and it was just as excellent. The restaurant has a fun Mexican decor, despite the name not quite matching, and the food was amazing. I tried a huge quesadilla with steak, chicken, and shrimp for a reasonable price, and the choriqueso dip was top-notch. The salsa was flavorful and fresh, the chips were crispy and warm, and the service was very attentive. From the outside, the restaurant may not look like much, but I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a great experience."

"One star is being generous for the meal I hardly ate. For starters the chips and salsa tasted like they picked them up from your local Walmart, fresh out of the bag and jar. Their house margarita was overly topped with sweet and sour mix and salt. Couldn't bare to drink it. The menus need to be redo badly. Half couldn't be read as it was worn off. When the food finally arrived my food was lacking every bit of flavor and my husband's food was wrong and sent back twice. We chose to just leave rather than attempting to eat anything. The waitress was kind and understanding but didn't make up for the horrible food"

"It is highly unlikely that the positive reviews for this restaurant are genuine. Our dining experience here was by far the worst I can remember. The waitress got three out of four meals wrong and then argued with us about our order. The food was mediocre at best. I was served a cold cheese enchilada (see picture) with unmelted cheese. The manager even tried to convince me that they intentionally serve their enchiladas with a cold filling, which is absurd. To top it off, we were charged for fountain drinks with our kids' meals, despite them being advertised as free. After complaining, the manager removed the cost of my meal and another incorrect meal. However, the shocker came when he tipped the waitress forty percent before giving us our bills. Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that he had added a $20 tip to each of our $50 checks, even though we had split the bill evenly. My friend's receipt also showed the same percentage tip added to each item."

"My family loves Jalisco Cafe, Bonita. First stop for our out of state visitors. Everything is good. Since we were the only table dining indoor on such a cold rainy day, we had his undivided attention. We asked the differences in some items that were familiar food and not familiar (which is why we came to learn and explore new food ... we also asked for the authentic food vs the well known American-ize food so that we can understand the cuisine/food abit more. He sold me on his favorite dish which he said, it is an acquired taste ad it was more of a stew and not many Americans would like the taste. I ended up loving it!Hubby and I came for lunch (lunch date! And left very satisfied and happy. We ordered chips with guacamole that also comes with salsa (server brough us hot sauce as well because hot sauce on chips is yum . Ordered:*Large Chips with Guacamole *Taco (3- steak and mixed on corn tortilla *Bistec Ala Mexican*2 Cokes The Bistec Ala Mexican is more of a stew, the server says combining the rice with the spicy tomato is the way to go. Toward the end, I just dump the rest of the rice and beans straight into the bowl and mixed it. It was very lovely and spicy.I would definitely recommend and come back. Both the food quality and service was amazing!"

"I made the reservation, almost a week in advance and arrived on time. We had guests from Europe with us, and they were alarmed that we waited almost 45 minutes to be seated. In my reservation, I had requested a table along the window with a view of the ocean. What we got was a table in the corner with a view of the fence. And that was after a 45 minute wait. The server seemed very inexperienced, though she was very nice. She took our order and still we did not. have the tortillas and salsa that is normally brought to the table even before we ordered. She brought those things after we asked, and then said I'll bring you plates, but she never did. Until we had to ask again as the tortillas were cooling. Our guest ordered a beer and she brought it to the wrong table and they refused it and she took it away. We had to ask again for the beer. The most disappointing thing was not only where we were seated, but the fact that we were not able to even eat our complementary tortillas and salsa until an hour after our reservation time. The food we ordered was good, but in general the experience was a negative one."

"It honestly takes A LOT for me to leave a review like this, and unfortunately, this is one of those rare times where the customer service was so egregiously bad that it 's necessary to write a scathing review. I 'll spare you all of the painstaking details, but in a nutshell, a problem was created when ordering because of the way they have their DoorDash set up. I placed nearly a $300 order for pick up. Instead of offering to rectify the problem with a very simple solution, the store employees proceeded to tell me that it was DoorDash 's fault, and to take it up with them. That wasn 't true. It was the restaurants fault for the way they had set up the DoorDash menu. I told them that they needed to rectify the situation, considering that I had already spent such a large amount of money I needed the order for a party of 25 hungry people. Instead of helping me, I was told by one of the stores employees named Eddie that he didn 't have time for this because he had a line and was off soon. When I said well then I guess you don 't care to have my business? He said no I guess we don 't. Then he hung up on me. Needless to say, DoorDash was able to cancel the order for me and issue a full refund (they have excellent customer service). Moral of the story: NEVER come here. I 'm sure the food is decent, but they clearly couldn 't care less about their customers. I will never spend a dime of my hard earned money here again, and I will warn everybody I know that goes for church members, city council members, the board of Meridian Little League, and all of my close friends and family to not step foot in this place. You do not treat customers this way."
