"Kai’s is a great “local’s” restaurant with friendly service, quality food, an an exceptional view of the beach. The ambiance is unpretentious and tidy. The servers and management are friendly and attentive. This restaurant has a low key vibe. The wine list could be upgraded. While there are many favorite dishes that we keep coming back to, it would be nice to see a fresh look at options. But this comes from our point of view inclusive of 23 years of visits. There are plenty of diverse options for newcomers. On nights with musical entertainment, it doesn’t overwhelm the restaurant. The main room noise level is definitely not for conversation when the band plays, but both patio areas provide space to hear the music but still be able to chat. During this visit we heard the Benedetti Trio play. They partnered with the dining experience perfectly."

"Took a friend here as she had not been before. We both had salads. I had a Caesar with grilled chicken. She had the Chop Chop salad. I found the Caesar dressing lacking and the chicken was just seemingly dropped on top. No attempt at presentation there. We also shared a portion of pommes frites which, while one of their best things, has now gotten to a ridiculous Too much for fries, folks. We passed on the drinks due to the price of the salads. They need to upgrade their offerings a bit and keep their prices in line. I will still likely go there but may try Tina's first"

"I have been to a great many restaurants in the St. Louis area and I can safely say that The Scottish Arms is one of the very best you can find. Each and every time that I visit I come away more impressed than the last. I The atmosphere is always relaxed, the staff are always delightful, but by far the best feature is the food. Their food stands heads and shoulders above the majority of restaurants in the area. Both in flavor and presentation, their food exceeds what ever you're like to imagine the first time you visit. 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Atmosphere The only possible flaw I can imagine is that I always want more of their food, and I can't have it every meal."

"sat for a friend 's biirthday; eating was just ok, needed more server and eating took some time out of the kitchen coming. best were the bacon-wrapped dates and the chocolate decoup that was free for my friend 's bday. they liked their laughs, my man 's steak was so-so, my roasted garnel (they were in the sauce, so they don't know where the roasted ' was) needed more taste, the sauce was blanching. I was there for lunch many years ago, not sure I was returning."
