"I made a reservation for 6:30 PM, thinking it would be early enough to avoid a club-like atmosphere, but I was mistaken. We were seated at the back of the restaurant right under the speakers. I noted that I was celebrating a birthday in my reservation and mentioned it multiple times to our waiter. Unfortunately, he seemed more interested in upselling us to premium liquor for our margaritas and showed visible disappointment when we didn’t order the $300 steak.
I wanted to treat my husband to a nice evening out, but all he could remember were the numerous times he had to get up and ask for the music to be turned down from ear-piercing levels to protect our daughter's ears. About 45 minutes into our visit, wafts of marijuana smoke started to permeate the restaurant. My husband got up to find the source, and our waiter confirmed it was indeed marijuana being smoked on the patio, stating there was nothing he or the restaurant could do about it. At this point, my husband wanted to leave before our food arrived, but our daughter insisted we stay as she was hungry.
After some time, our food finally arrived, and we tried to lighten the mood and enjoy ourselves. Just then, the most vulgar song I’ve ever heard blasted through the speakers. Shocked looks spread around the restaurant as explicit terms filled the air. I had to quickly cover my daughter’s ears to shield her from the inappropriate language. At another table, a woman pointed at my daughter as she asked for the music to be changed, and a man with his date glanced at me with sympathy. It was at this moment that our waiter appeared with the check, almost as if he knew we were at our breaking point.
It's disheartening that after spending $600, we couldn't have a better experience."
