"We had a group of 9 people and were celebrating 2 birthdays. Our party was placed in a very nice private room and from first entering the establishment until leaving the coat check we were treated with a top level service! Outstanding hospitality, ambience, and incredible food. We tried several appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend for small gatherings or individual meals. The pork chop was outstanding! The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The twice baked potatoes as a side were wonderful. Go here and give this place your time. No regrets and will be going here definitely again!"

"The surprise cover fee at $5 per person at the door even with a reservation was unexpected, and set the mood. Also, the cover is cash only, and can’t be applied to your bill. Cocktails were ho hum , the chocolate truffles were bitter , the cheesecake was bad. They were not able to modify any of the food to make it nut free, as it is all prepared in advance, possibly offsite. Music was good, waitstaff was below average at what is supposed to be a premium location."

"Went for Friday lunch. We were greeted and thanked for coming by Felicia herself due to cancellations due to coronavirus scare. Friday lunch proved to be more attended than the dinner hours. I ordered shrimp remoulade salad $16...shrimp served on horizontal plate of greens with 2 small grilled bread rounds (pricey for amount received) bread rounds dry and tasteless. My lunch partner ordered shrimp etouffee. The shrimp served was of good size and plump compared to the shrimp on my plate that seemed to have been halved. Our server started out well, but faltered at the end... never refilling our water glasses or coffee mugs and ignored us until we finally tired of waiting for him to return we placed our credit cards down to pay...he immediately came and gathered them up without asking if he could do anything else for us. He seemed more attentative to a table full of men who had ordered bottles of wine."

"I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF SERVICE!!!!!!!!!"

"We had wanted to find a new local place for Sunday dinner, so we tried 121 during Hudson Valley restaurant week. Service was spotty at best. We spent a lot of time waiting. Steak ordered medium- well came more med-rare and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Someone brought us dessert and never asked if we wanted coffee or after-dinner drinks, so we ate without coffee. The restaurant was not crowded, so I can't understand why the staff was not more attentive. We had to take our check to the front desk to pay after waiting too long again...we stood at the front desk watching the hostess chatting with another staff member by the bar. She never noticed us there waiting. All in all, not a good experience. We are very disappointed with the service, but the food was AMAZING."

"We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels & clams which had white sauce over them - sauce reminded me of New England clam chowder - very different than what we expected but delicious. I had the stuffed salmon as my entrée and my husband had the ahi tuna - both dishes were very good. I'd recommend Pier 106 to anyone visiting Milwaukee."

"Although this steakhouse is touted as one of the best I felt it left a lot to be desired. Service was slow. Our wait-server was very nice but he kept disappearing so it was hard to get special requests taken care. My dad had a steak with lobster tail. Lobster was not in shell and was like a small lump of rubbery stuff on the plate. Chef said that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Had to send my steak back and they still didn’t get it right. Overall no value for the money. Food not exceptional at all. I would never recommend this place."

"As someone who had been to Carrol's Creek many times in the past, I was looking forward to seeing it after a remodel. From my memory, it was exactly the same. It was not a great first date spot. The lights were SO BRIGHT. There was also no background music. Just not particularly great ambiance all the way around. The food is good, but it's not cheap. For the price, there are better spots for a date."

"We got seated with reservations and another table that came in after us got waited on first. The alcoholic drinks were very small and not filled to the top of the glass. Dirty ice for one drink was requested, but all that was given was a glass of ice and for the same drink, the martini glass was small and not filled to the top. The other drink was watered down. The food was subpar. Salmon did not have a mango apricot glaze as listed and the rice was tasteless. The burger meat was small compared to the roll that it was on lots of leftover bread . Just very disappointed. All other visits to this place were good, maybe this was just a bad day ?"

"I had a piece of each of the vegan carrot cakes and vegan chocolate cakes. the chocolate cake was dirty, but the icing was sweet. the carrot cake was better, icing was good, but, cake could use a little more taste. it was a beautiful effort, although for vegan options."

"We live extremely close and have used the facility for many events, but I have to say after this visit we will no longer suggest or be visiting. AMP 150. The quality and entree offered were far from our expectations. The food quality for what we did ordered was also disappointing. We truly felt it was just standard hotel food a far cry from the farm to table as advertised. The strip steak was served on a wood board with no grooves leaving a disaster of a mess from the drippings of the steak. What were they thinking? The steak was poorly seasoned! All of the meals were not worth the cost charged. They need to step it up big time if they want to keep the business."

"I rate this place 4 out of 5 stars because the desserts are really hit or miss. I would say most desserts are above average, some are out of this world, and the rest are not very good at all. I have been here a few times and this is my first review of the place.Let me start by saying there are a lot of tables inside and it gets very crowded after dinner time. There are not many sit-in dessert places on bell blvd so many people come here. You may be inches away from the next table but the seating is comfortable and turnover is quick.This particular time that I went, I ordered a slice of berry pie with ice cream and a slice of triple chocolate mousse cake. The berry pie had a crumb top which was nice and toasty. The berries gave the pie a nice tart flavor while the crumb topping added a nice textural component. The flavors of the pie complemented the scoop of vanilla ice cream. The mix of warm and cold and tart and sweet is just amazing. The triple chocolate mousse is made of a layer of white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate mousse sandwiched in between layers of dark chocolate cake. I typically do not enjoy desserts that are overly chocolately but somehow this cake breaks that rule. All 3 chocolate mousse layers as well as the cake are rich in chocolate flavor without being achingly sweet. I don’t think I could have finished the piece in one sitting but the few bites I had were heavenly."

"The server was very nice and helpful, offered recommendations, etc. it was just slow. We were not on any schedule so that was fine but just know it can take a while. My food tasted a tad burned but by the time we ate I was sooo hungry I just ate it all so quickly. Ha! My husband said the chicken was very bland. The wine menu appears fairly robust is actually quite lacking. They don’t really have any lower priced glasses or bottles to choose from. And once we did finally select a bottle, they did not have it so we had to select another one. Then when we finally got that settled, we did not receive our bottle until the food came, a full 37 minutes after we’d ordered it. So, then we had to sit there for another 30-40 min after we’d finished eating “slamming” our wine. Was just kinda not ideal."

"Love the Calhoun Street Travern. The drinks, food and service were fantastic particularly our waitress Linda who was not only knowledgeable about the offerings at the Tavern, but the culture and history of Old Towne Bluffton. The Mama's Mac n Cheese was as good as it gets, as were the crab cakes. The also featured a large array of outstanding bourbons, including Weller Reserve."
