While it's a typical diner setting with a casual vibe, the layout still makes it feel very much like a strip mall eatery. There are other strip mall establishments in the city that have managed to create a cozier atmosphere (like Nina's, for instance; you completely forget it's in a strip mall once you step inside). Perhaps Bucky's needs some more personality to stand out.
However, aside from the pancakes, the service is another standout aspect. The staff is polite, attentive, and friendly, even remembering regulars' names. The service is lightning fast—I’ve waited longer for food at fast food places after ordering! The speed of service seems to be well-known among the regulars; I visited on a Sunday morning, and it was clear that several families were there for breakfast before heading to church. They wouldn't take that risk if they didn't have confidence in the service.
All in all, Bucky's is a fantastic choice if you're looking for quick, delicious pancakes!"
