**Update on 6/4/22:** Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with flies in my food and condiments, along with rude customer service. I wanted to share the events that took place at the Mesquite location regarding my order (Check #247). The server was at cashier line #2. During my takeout order, the staff seemed indifferent, and the server overlooked many of my questions. My order was left exposed, leading to flies getting into the container and on the bun. When I pointed this out, she acknowledged only noticing the flies on the bun and offered to replace just that. I requested my entire order to be remade, but in frustration, she threw my original order in the trash. I notified the cashier, who told the server to close the lid on the second attempt, but she did not follow through. Additionally, BBQ sauce was missing from my second order. The area was unclean, and there were flies around the condiments (pickles, onions, etc.). I have been a loyal customer at this location since 2016, catering for every holiday and spending hundreds on my daughter's graduation event. It’s worth noting that the local manager, Martene, was not present at the time. This incident took place around 8:13 p.m. on 6/4/22, and my order consisted of (1) two-meat plate, (1) half slab, and (1) pulled pork combo. I sincerely hope Soulman's takes the time to train their evening staff properly because the vibe at this location is completely different in the afternoon—much more vibrant and friendly—but it drastically changes in the evening."
