"Absolutely delicious! The food was bursting with flavor. I do wish there were more options featuring carnitas, but when my husband requested carnitas in his burrito, they happily accommodated him. We recently moved to Loveland from California and are on the hunt for our new favorite Mexican restaurant. This is only our second visit, but I have a strong feeling we'll be returning soon!"

"This has been my go to place for Mexican food. But today I ordered carnitas burrito which is one of my favorites. It came out with hardly no meat. So I told the manager he said he would have then make another. Then it came out with more meat but fatty. And none of the other things like avacodo cilantro. Maybe they misunderstood what Iwanted. But the waitress acted like it was nothing wrong. I could see her attitude. She did not like me complaining. THEN she made a rush to the register to make sure I was leaving a tip. Stood there and watched over me signing my reciept. Very poor customer service."

"Used to go here all the time. Honestly, used to be better. Service has gone downhill. Food was ok, margarita was pretty good. But I ordered small dish, they charged me for regular, then refused to adjust the ticket because "I 'd already eaten it, (whichI didn 't finish because I couldn 't). I think I understand what the other place does better. They 're just not what they used tobe. El Maguey on Michigan is my new place."

"I want to start by saying that all the negative comments I’ve read here are completely unfounded. This place is incredibly underrated. When you first see it from the outside, you might wonder if you really want to go in, as it doesn’t look particularly fancy. But trust me, the food and service more than make up for it. I've visited a few times with my husband and friends, and we've always left satisfied. The staff is consistently friendly, the prices are affordable, and the service is outstanding. It’s a truly humbling experience, sitting among such genuine people. It reminds me of Mexico and the wonderful spirit of its people. I've seen the owner several times, and he always greets us warmly. If I had to recommend a dish, it would definitely be the tacos—specifically the pastor tacos! They’re the best I’ve ever had, even better than those at Polo’s Taqueria, which is severely overrated and has poor customer service. Seriously, don't dismiss it without trying it. I’ll definitely keep coming back for the tacos!"

"Where to start. I want to love this restaurant. It?s extremely convenient for me but goodness. The service was so horrible I quit going for over a year. I finally returned and the service for trip one was great! The food is ok, nothing great, but triptwo reminded me why I stopped going. It?s crazy how bad the service is. As a former server I just can?t believe how bad theservice is. Just go any weekend night. There?s a reason there?s no wait. When you just sit there and employees are are lookingat their phones or couldn?t care less it?s frustrating. There is one server who is really great. If you don?t get her, goodluck. The food and margarita ls are just ok. There?s many other options even another great place within 3 blocks."

"visited summer 2022 Great Mexican food, in a fun atmosphere. This place is located behind Lowe's, and there's plenty of seating. They have all the usual Mexican food favorites, as well as quite a few unique dishes for those who don't want the typical tacos and burritos. The food was flavorful and well presented. It's above average for the area. Note that they don't have liquor, so no margaritas. Their queso was a little plain, but still cheesy. Would visit again."

"My experience with the food and drinks were terrible. My husband took me out to this new restaurant. Once in there, we sat ourselves and ordered drinks. The drink My husband ordered for me first was a strawberry daiquiri. It was watered-down with no strawberry taste so my husband flagged the waiter down who was rude. My husband told the waiter that the drink was not good so he ordered a soda for me. The drink was flat with no taste. So my husband preceded to order another drink which was lemonade. We notice that the waiter attitude was getting worse, because he didn't like taking anything back once confronted with a series of problems with the drinks. The waiter got me another drink. The lemonade was flat, warm with no sugar. So I thought maybe the food would be better. I ordered a large vegetarian quesadilia that included mushrooms , tomatoes and cheese "

"The margaritas were fantastic, and the stuffed avocado was excellent! Overall, the food was delicious and the service was good as well. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that both bathrooms were not clean; it seemed more like they hadn’t been attended to for several days rather than someone just forgetting to flush."

"Satisfactory (Tex) Mexican restaurant that has been a staple on Court Street for quite some time. Arriving around 10:30 pm, I was here recently for a quick bite/snack (not a full meal although I've had dinner in the past at Mezcal's). Cute,colorful interior with above average prices considering the authenticity of the food.Their menu included many categories such as starters, specials, tacos, salads, enchiladas/quesadilla and cocktails. Average price for an entree seemed to be around $17. Service was attentive the evening I visited. On this given late night we ordered: *Strawberry margarita I didn't try it but it looked good *Guac with chips *La Catrina quesadilla The drink was frozen, fruity and from what I was told satisfying. As far as the quac with chips it was pretty good. Not a huge bowl but most restaurants serve a similar sized portion. We were told that the chips were made in house and they were actually good. The La Catrina quesadilla was vegetarian with jalapeno peppers, cheese, onions and sauteed spinach. Cut into 4 pieces, it was sufficient and tasty. I really liked it. Overall, Mezcal's is an old reliable pit stop that satisfies hunger and where food seems fresh and solid. It wouldn't be my first choice for Mexican, but it met my expectations every time I visited. Yes, the prices are kind of steep though."

"Absolutely terrible! The margaritas were watered down, with barely any alcohol. They charged $3.95 for a starter basket of chips and low-quality salsa, which most places serve free of charge. We ordered a small guacamole listed for $1.00, but we were charged $3.95 instead. We tried the steak, chicken, and pork, and all the meat was tough and dry, like eating shoe leather. The restaurant was dirty, and we even spotted some roaches scuttling around. We should have left as soon as we saw them. Dine here at your own risk!"

"We ordered two meals that totaled $24, and with my husband's margarita, the bill came to $42. While I'm not usually one to complain about prices, I felt overcharged for the quality of the food. My husband's meal arrived well before mine, so we were unable to eat together. I typically don't write reviews unless they are exceptional, but this experience truly shocked me. We used to visit often when it was called Salsitas, and the change in name or ownership is glaringly evident. Our first hint should have been the empty parking lot and restaurant, along with the waitstaff sitting at the bar when we entered. There was also a noticeable language barrier, as the waitress seemed unable to understand my requests and simply replied "yes" without following through. It's been a while since I've had such a terrible dining experience, but this one takes the prize. After just two bites, I boxed up the food and tossed it when I got home. On the bright side, my husband's dish was better than mine. I’m honestly surprised the health department hasn’t shut this place down."
