Now I have to give you one star because you have too many employees just hanging around discussing their lives when they should be checking on their customers and how their experience and their food is going. The food was a waste of my money which I work very hard for. Since when did diner start charging prices of a restaurant? If the food is not going to taste fantastic at least let it be cooked right."

"I saw great cries and heard good things for a while before we finally managed to try them. I think the whole personal said hi or confirmed us sometime during our visit. the portions are large, eating is hot and tasty, the staff is great, and its a fun place to check. we will certainly try new things again. we enjoyed two portions of chips with salsa and queso blanco, a cheeseburger, swirling rings, a taco salad with very tasteful beans and fluffy rice, a children's breakfast dish with speck, extra speck instead of an ice, and two (not so) mini pancakes. can not wait to go back and try it more!"

"I happened to be in the area and decided to check out this restaurant. Before I eat, I usually assess the place. It looks quite decent from the outside, though the interior could use a bit of renovation. I ordered the lunch special: Buffalo wings with fries. The owner was present—he's a large guy with a fantastic personality and a wealth of experience with Middle Eastern food, especially kebabs. I mentioned the negative reviews his establishment had received, and he explained that he had recently taken over the business from a previous owner. Now, under new management, he encouraged those who had previously had bad experiences to give it another chance. I believe you will find not only an improved taste in the food but also an enhanced level of service. Overall, I had a great experience with delicious food, and I will definitely return to explore more of the menu."

"Happy Crab was the first place for food and drinks my husband and I encountered upon moving to Eastport. We liked the atmosphere and service, which made up for any less than awesome food experiences...until this evening. We arrived, and waited for half an hour for someone to come to our table (we were unfamiliar with this person, but maybe because we came on a different night than usual). It was obvious our server was covering some tables, plus the bar, so of course we gave them grace. I have worked in the service industry and empathize. We eventually got food and drinks. We were brought the bill that we were not ready for, at which time we requested more drinks. Those were brought along with the amended bill. We joked that they were trying to get us to leave. A little while later, we managed to flag down our server who had been to all the tables surrounding us, multiple times. We asked for more drinks and were told that if we wanted more, we needed to go to the bar to order them. A little caught off guard we kind of nodded, not sure what that was about. We thought maybe after a certain amount of time (on a Sunday evening), they stopped doing rounds to tables or something. Then we stayed for another half an hour watching all the tables around us continue to be fully served while we were ignored. I managed to catch our server's attention again to ask for more drinks and an appetizer. I was instructed to go to the bar to order. I asked why we were the only table that had to do that and was told that it was because we had been there for awhile and it was busy. This would have been a little more palatable if all the other tables had to do the same, which they did not. My plan was to continue date night with my husband, in a place we felt comfortable and happy. Instead, frustrated, I went to the bar to settle up. I was handed a bill with multiple errors that resulted in an extra $20 of charges that had to be addressed and corrected. We frequent this establishment weekly, tip generously, and usually look forward to coming back. Not so much after this."

"I'm a known sandwich and hoagie guy, and by far the best is here with the South Philly. I get oil and mayo, roasted red peppers and hot pepper spread on the deeded. It can't be beat. The Wiz Wit style cheesesteak is also freaking amazing. Both hit hard. I used to order a few times a week in my bigger days, now it's a cheat day favorite. The chicken wings are great wit or w/o sauce. This location doesn't have alot of dine in customers but ALOT of takeout/delivery."

"Have always loved Quaker Steak Lube and actually used to visit the original location quite often. In our last visit, however, it seems to have lost its touch and seems to come down a bit. First, the tables were sticky because the paint is old and worn. When I say sticky, how rough sticky, where it is a challenge to lift everything from, even your hand. It's so bad. In fact, the waitress mentioned it and explained why it happened. With explanation or not, It makes the experience less pleasant and subconscious makes you think it is dirty. Next, the menu has changed pretty much. You get much less and pay much more. No more onion rings on an antenna, no more combos. The price of everything seems almost doubled and the portions are much smaller. Of course, this seems to happen everywhere with inflation after the Kovid, but only not the value for the product with the price they expect to pay here. I wouldn't say that with every restaurant, because we were already enough, since Kovid and at least the food quality did not suffer as it is here. Give a few stars because the server we had was excellent. Prices have gone through the roof with a decline in value. The food was just fine. The most disappointing part was not a limousine at the end."

"I'm on vacation and searching for a great breakfast spot! This place has a wide variety of options. I decided to give it a try, and I’m glad I did—I visited twice, and both times the food and service were excellent! The next time I'm in town, I'll definitely stop by again; the omelettes look fantastic. I ordered the fiesta burrito with added ham, and it was served piping hot and bursting with flavor. "Can't give ZERO, but I will. On vacation at a local campground, heading back south, wanted to eat before leaving the area. Stopped in with my family, 4 people working this extremely small restaurant. No table cleared off for my family of 6 to sit, but all employees just taking their sweet time walking around, understandably taking care of customers. Then a couple tables get up, not enough for all to sit, they start clearing everything except the one large enough for us to use. Wait another 10 minutes, still no effort to clean off the larger table, then 2 employees just stop and start talking and laughing, then back to busy work, without clearing or cleaning a table for us to sit. I tell the family to leave and tell the next employee we'll spend our money elsewhere, that'll appreciate our business. Don't go there unless you want to be ignored."

"I got a classic cheese burger. The toppings and condiments were all fine. The burger actually looked good aesthetically. However and much to my dismay, the taste of the burger meat was not good. It was edible but weirdly seasoned. In my opinion, a plain hamburger meat with salt and pepper would have been better than whatever seasoning mix Loose Caboose is using. Their mini corn dogs were good though. 2 stars is for the disappointing burger. In fairness, I didn't bring up the food taste to the restaurant so I didn't give them a chance to make me something else. My thoughts leaving were I should of just stayed home and cooked for myself."

"I am over the moon with satisfaction from a recent catering order that I placed with Main Street Cafe. I hosted a Bridesmaid dinner for my daughter and did not have time to prepare the meal myself and decided to take this task off my plate. I could NEVER have prepared a meal that looked and tasted as good as the one we received. I saved hours of time and the cost was definitely less than what I would have spent at the grocery store. It was a beautiful plate with garden salad, poppy seed chicken, green beans, cranberry salad, and a yeast roll. It was filled with Southern Charm and was delicious. "I've eaten here a handful of times because people I've been with wanted to come here, and dealt with mediocre food, but no more. I have standards. After tonight's visit I won't return. Fried Buffalo shrimp appetizer came out as just 6 sad little shrimp with a ton of breading and some unseasoned fries. No sauce. Didn't actually think it was the right item. Expected a lot more shrimp for what was billed as a shrimp dish. They took it back and removed the cocktail sauce and slathered some Buffalo on these sad little shrimp. My dinner was blackened chicken with corn. The corn looked like freezerburned kernels that had been heated by chef Mike and also unseasoned. The blackened chicken was so overcooked I could not even force myself to eat half of it.My girlfriend's fries were even salter than this review inedibleNothing could make me return here. Not free food for a year."

"Let me start out by saying I understand everyone is shorthanded but this is a fail for all their staff. 10/14/23 two of us went for breakfast at 11:25am. Not busy. In fact we were seated immediately. It took a little over 45 minutes to get an egg breakfast and skillet, asked for crispy hashbrowns (they were soggy and not warm all the way through) , one of us didn't even get the toast that was ordered with the skillet, no water refills were offered 1 coffee refill was offered. The table behind us cancelled their egg order due to the fact they were ready to go and the eggs had still not been brought out (all their meals finished). A couple with young children ended up getting their own silverware, water from the area by the kitchen and we gave them an unused straw (after they asked and it was 7 minutes later and not brought to them). They waited just as long for their food. No staff acknowledged the slowness or the poor service. I still tipped 20%. There were several restless people commenting at their tables. For being a landmark spot it was a real shame. I went there 55 years ago as a child. We frequent the one in Hudsonville and marvel at the service and hospitality at that location. The Grandville location is off my list for good."

"Overall, the experience was quite disappointing, from the ambiance to the menu offerings and the food itself. The appetizer, which was the onion, was enjoyable, but the main courses left much to be desired; they were all quite bland. We tried their signature French Dip, Jalapeno Burger, and a BLT, but none of us were particularly impressed. Our waitress forgot our ketchup three times, and we eventually stopped asking for it. "Here's a revised version of your restaurant review: --- This is an updated review; I initially rated this place two stars, and you can see my previous complaints from two weeks ago regarding the restaurant's performance. Today, I decided to give them another try. The new owners are streamlining the overly extensive menu into something more manageable, which should help minimize stock and waste, ultimately lowering prices. I had a conversation with the owner about pricing and noted that one item from my regular order has increased significantly—over 140%. However, most other price adjustments seem to be in line with current inflation rates, which is understandable. There are several improvements underway, and while the transition is undoubtedly challenging, it's evident that they genuinely care about their customers. The cook who prepared my Mexican Omelette today did an excellent job. It looks like the recent dip in food quality was less about cutting costs on ingredients and more about training or staffing issues. They've also hired a new cashier who, while still getting the hang of things, was sharp and eager to assist. For now, I'm giving them four stars, but I can see they are putting in the effort to earn a full five. I encourage you to give them a chance! I'm glad I decided to return, and I'll be coming back regularly. For context, here’s my original review: I've been dining here 3 to 4 times a week since around 2013, under two previous owners. The new owners have significantly increased prices—my usual $7.99 lunch is now $12.38 before drinks, tax, etc. That’s a 55% hike! I understand inflation is tough, but that's quite high. Unfortunately, it’s become too expensive for me to eat here regularly! The quality of food has also declined. Some dishes are almost as good as they used to be, but others left me questioning whether the cook knows the proper standards for preparation. I would advise against ordering the Texas Tuna Melt; it barely resembles one. On a positive note, they do have a shiny new electronic menu and a fancy cash register! --- I hope this rewrite retains your intended message while presenting it in a fresh way!"
