"This restaurant has a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The food is extremely fresh and seasoned wonderfully. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the USA. Even after traveling around the United States, I always come back here. It truly is the best. I ate here on 5-6-22 and tried the Enchiladas Rancheras, which were very tasty. The staff has changed, with a new group of waitresses replacing the friendly male servers. The ladies are quieter but still very friendly. Despite the change in staff, the food remains delicious and the ambiance is still welcoming."

"This is our new favorite Mexican spot! This location (opened in 2018), is tastefully decorated and very clean! I really like their salsa, white dip and melted cheese dip with tortilla chips (which all, except the cheese dip, comes complementary with meal or drinks). We've ordered everything from their monster burritos to fajitas and everything has been fresh, generous and yummy! Their fresh guacamole dip is delicious and made right in front of you. That alone can be a meal! Service is prompt and attentive. We've been with parties as large as 20+ and the waiters and waitresses still managed to serve everything as ordered and at the same time. Bonus: The margaritas are NOT made with that yucky tasting mix found in so many Mexican restaurants. They are the real deal! They give you the option of salted or sugared rim. Generous with the tequila. Muy bien!"

"It is highly unlikely that the positive reviews for this restaurant are genuine. Our dining experience here was by far the worst I can remember. The waitress got three out of four meals wrong and then argued with us about our order. The food was mediocre at best. I was served a cold cheese enchilada (see picture) with unmelted cheese. The manager even tried to convince me that they intentionally serve their enchiladas with a cold filling, which is absurd. To top it off, we were charged for fountain drinks with our kids' meals, despite them being advertised as free. After complaining, the manager removed the cost of my meal and another incorrect meal. However, the shocker came when he tipped the waitress forty percent before giving us our bills. Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that he had added a $20 tip to each of our $50 checks, even though we had split the bill evenly. My friend's receipt also showed the same percentage tip added to each item."

"I recently visited my parents in Virginia and this restaurant was conveniently located within walking distance of my hotel. My friend and I invited my parents to join us for dinner. We were promptly seated at a table spaced out for social distancing. The chips and mild homemade salsa were brought out quickly and were delicious. The service was fantastic, with very friendly waitresses. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The mojitos, especially the strawberry mojitos, were also delicious! Overall, it was a nice spot and I would definitely recommend it."

"Had dinner there tonight. Food was amazing! We had Fajitas, perfect sailor and wonderful taste! Our adult son had a Burrito the size of his plate and completely disappeared into our Fajitas! Our guys are groundless pits so that is absolutely no reflection on portion sizes. We also had the queso laguna ... the most delicious product I've ever tried in a Mexican restaurant!!! The restaurant was clean and the staff was really nice. Super thorough, without being intrusive or overwhelming. Prices are very reasonable. This will be our way as long as we live here in GA."

"This is a good Mexican restaurant. They have good chips, salsa and guacamole to enjoy before eating your meal. I like their soups and salads and quesadillas. They also have good tacos, burritos and nachos. The waitresses are nice and the restaurant is pretty and clean. You can take out or get delivery if you don't want to dine in."

"our second visit in queso, tonight, on Saturday. our last visit (a few months ago) was best rated moderate. now for our visit today. first the positive: the margarita was good! the ambiente was alive! now for the possibilities of improvement: the food quality was worse than the last visit; at the same time, dried rice and acid salsa were. the service was less than acceptable; no follow from our waitress. the ordered fresh Haveero sauce had to remind again (similar to the last visit) to finally get it. music: expects Mexican or Spanish music, but the live music was country. not only that the music was extremely loud, had to demand to be moved far away, and the singing was not of acceptable quality seemed simply to be poor overall, the visit was a catastrophe. After we have experienced it twice and both of them were less than acceptable, we will no longer plan to visit this place."

"I visited this restaurant for a lunch special and was surprised to be charged dinner prices. Even after I pointed out the discrepancy, they refused to adjust the price. This happened before dinner time, making it even more frustrating. Overall, the service was lacking and the atmosphere was just okay. The recommended dishes are the Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas."

"Split a Salmon Veracruz with my girlfriend, receiving a dirty in look from the owner, likely for ordering one entre. (We weren't that hungry). Some time later we received a half-cooked salmon fillet from an uncharismatic waitress. Assumed this was fine since we eat plenty of rare steaks. That was yesterday, and today she is bedridden with stomach pains and I've had to excuse myself plenty of times from the job site, suffering nausea and chills among other things. The doors are also overpressured so they hit you on your way in."

"Consistently Good. Cinco de Mayo is always an enjoyable dining experience. The tortillas and salsa that come with every meal are a nice treat, and are promptly replaced if they run dry. And the service ... oh the service. It is fantastic. The restaurant can be packed with diners with a wait to get in, and still the food comes out in only a few minutes. Any your drinks? They just won't run dry because you'll always get more. At least in my experience. You can't beat that. If you want to mix it up a little, just get the daily lunch special, which is a great deal. The regular menu prices are perhaps a little high, but with the quantity of food you get, usually topped with fresh veggies, it's still a decent value. As for the food itself, I find it quite flavorful, and not overbearingly hot or spicy. Not every dish has been great, but absolutely none have been bad, and that's saying something over dozens of visits."

"It was my brother's birthday and we celebrated with a group of 14 people, each with their own separate check. Surprisingly, the waiter didn't write anything down but got all of our orders correct. Everything was fine, although I would have preferred if my margarita was served in a wider rimmed glass so I could enjoy more salt with each sip."

"I had a very disappointing experience at this store while picking up my mobile order. I ended up waiting for more than 40 minutes, which is unacceptable. If the store cannot handle mobile orders promptly, why do they accept them in the first place? It felt like the staff was entirely focused on dine-in customers, completely neglecting those who ordered through the app. Mobile order customers are also customers and deserve equal attention. This was the longest wait I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant, and to make matters worse, no staff member even bothered to provide an update or respond to my concerns. I urge the management to look into this issue and ensure better service for mobile order customers. It was truly a frustrating experience. "I took my mother and daughter to this restaurant for the first time on Monday night, October 10, 2016, and it has quickly become my favorite Mexican dining spot! The variety of dishes is incredible, and the food tastes amazing. They serve the best salsa around! The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the service is quick. The restaurant has plenty of space and a wonderful atmosphere, complete with a bar, large flat-screen TVs, and a private area for parties. It's very clean and has a delightful aroma! The prices are quite reasonable given the generous portion sizes – we all ended up taking food home. For three of us, including drinks, the total bill was just over $34, and I left our fantastic waitress a $10 tip. The 99-cent margarita that came with my meal was the perfect finishing touch! We will definitely be back, and next time, we’re bringing even more friends with us!"

"I had a strong craving for a torta, so I ordered a carne asada torta, hoping for a delicious Mexican treat. Unfortunately, I was left extremely disappointed. The bread wasn’t the traditional type used for tortas, and there were more onions than meat in it. I’ve never felt so let down after spending my money. I also ordered agua de jamaica, but it tasted like water with way too much sugar. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here. Service: Takeout."

"This place is so great! They have a lovely dog-friendly outdoor patio with heaters for the winter and ceiling fans for the summer. Two kinds of complimentary salsa come with fresh chips while you wait for your food, and they?re both good. One was fresh salsa and the other was a bit spicier, with a smoky chipotle flavor. We ordered two chicken dishes. First was chicken Jalisco (which is just pollo a la crema with veggies). The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a super creamy sauce and came piled high with grilled vegetables. The second dish was choripollo, and it was also fantastic. Again, the kitchen delivered perfectly moist chicken with a lovely sear, paired with a thick creamy cheese sauce. It was topped with what looked to be an entire gd sausage and it was a thing of beauty. There were at least four ounces of chorizo that had been sliced open and browned on the grill. It was as delicious as it looked. Side note: I asked for a side of sour cream and they delivered. Sometimes restaurants spoon an extra tablespoon of crema fresca of your plate and call it good, but this is a legit side that actually appeared at the same time as my order. These guys are on point. Saving the best for last, our server was Alex, and he was the real treasure for this meal. Alex is a ray of extremely competent sunshine. I highly recommend going off-peak so you can have a delightful little chat with him."

"This review is in regards to the bar area, not the restaurant area. Never eaten there so I can’t attest to that part. I had heard mixed reviews about Baja Bean in Staunton and have been to lovely chains in other cities. I flew into town to visit my family and my mom, siblings and I went to grab a drink to end the night. My mid-50s mother was denied entry at the door for forgetting her ID (understandable I guess; she went back and got it) and we sat at a table and ordered one drink each. Service was decent, drinks were good. My brother ordered a second drink and finished it and we went to go cash out. I paid for one of his double whisky sours and my sister paid for his second double whisky sour. Nothing out of the ordinary. Here’s the strange part:We go to cash out our tickets and notice that they seem off. We asked for our itemized receipts, corrected the charges with a pen, and the bartender returned with our updated totals. When we got our updated totals, we were charged two completely different prices for the exact same double whisky sour. When we asked for the tickets to be corrected again, the bartender told us we were drunk and it was the same number (we both had ONE drink). I circled the whisky sours on both tickets where it clearly says one cost $16 and one cost $19.50. The bartender refused to look into the discrepancy and replied with “stiff me if you want to, I don’t care!” Ma’am, we’re simply trying to figure out why the same drink costs two different prices, but ok yeah sure. We walk out without tipping because we were already overcharged and at that point she was just being nasty. As we’re calmly walking out of the bar trying to figure out what the heck just happened, another bartender comes running out behind us saying “they’re banned for life! all of them!” Umm yeah ok, half of us don’t even live here and the other half definitely won’t be returning at this point anyway. It was the weirdest bar experience of my life.If you’re confused by this, so are we. If you choose to drink here, make sure to check the itemized receipt before paying. Also watch your bank account because my sister ended up with a random $39 pending charge she had to dispute in addition to her actual bill.tldr; my family of four went in for one drink and ended up getting overcharged and banned for life over a bill they refused to correct."
