"Yesterday Big Boy's surprised me. I bought a Groupon and went to the Brighton BB. I remember when BB was going downhill in metro Detroit, it became the last place I wanted to eat, so I didn’t. BB in Brighton was clean, bright, inviting, and well-bussed. They have a quite cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner. The floors were clean and spotless (this is important to me). The vacuum went into action as soon as a table’s customer(s) paid and left. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient, quick, and earning their tip. It’s easier to leave a good tip when the service is good and I had no complaints. My coffee cup was never below half, and the waitress asked each time before refilling it so I wasn’t surprised by a gulp of unexpected very hot coffee. My grandson brought his 3-year-old to the restaurant and the waitstaff was friendly and welcomed him. The food was very good and the sign said the meat is fresh and never frozen. Although the iced tea was instant not brewed. A Thumbs up for Brighton BB. The terminator wasn’t there but “I'll Be Back”."

"Had a good experience there, waitress was very friendly and easy to talk to, food was good, and the price was reasonable for what I got. Since the Big Boy in Bay City closed during the pandemic, the only one left is in Essexville. That 's the only reason I will return. Essexville has so much potential, but no one will take on that challenge. A Pizza Hut bldg just sitting there with a For Sale sign in front. Also a Long John Silver 's right next to it, just sitting there. So sad to see that."

"Went to have lunch today item I wanted didn't have any of and hadn't had any for awhile if your not going have a menu item take it off the menu then second choice we wanted they said not available on weekend and it did not say that on menu!!!! What horrible service not having 2 things on the menu !!!! Manager did nothing about it either no wonder big boy is going downhill and waitresses talk to friends and not wait on guest right away I will avoid this place for sure!!!!"

"This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food! I regret not noting the name of our exceptional server. Our group of eight was promptly attended to, and she quickly took our orders after telling us about a special offer for free pie with any meal priced at $9.99 or more. When the food arrived, she impressively remembered who ordered what. She consistently refilled our drinks and was polite, attentive, and delightful throughout our experience, really making us feel welcome. Additionally, since we were a party of eight, they arranged two booths for us by removing the center partition, which created a long, seamless table. Everyone had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed their meals."
