"Takeout review. Was at Aldi 's and hubs and I were hungry so decided to get some Chinese food. Was not expecting much here but LET ME TELL YOU! They have Beef Chow Fun here!!! I 've been craving that for weeks cause can 't get that around my area! Was about to just make it myself too! They speak both Canto and Mando here too! Took us 30 mins before we could eat it so it may not be a great critique of what it would be. My craving of beef chow fun was slightly disappointing as it wasn 't as 'wok hei ' as I would prefer and a bit too 'wet ', but it still took the hankering away. Hubs got his usual sweet and sour pork which was really good, even had pineapples which he says most places don 't offer. If we visit that area again or my parents visit, I would totally come back here for some traditional Chinese family style dinner!"

"I Haven’t eaten here in over 15 years the shrimp egg rolls still taste the same packed full of cabbage and shrimp ! That was a present surprise as I had completely forgotten how they taste. There should be more reviews! Everything was fresh and hot, and packaged very well . All of the food containers were completely full to the very top . The sauce was thick on the sesame and orange chicken, and the shrimp fried rice was FULL OF shrimp they are not stingy and you get your money’s worth. I will Definitely be coming back"

"We came here on a Sunday around 6pm, the restaurant had quite a few patrons. The location is kind of weird it is inside the mall and open when the mall is closed. You have to head toward the lower level parking garage next to JC Penny and enter through those doors. We ordered three entrees the roast pork with pea pods, the grand dook shrimp and the special braised duck. All three dishes were great the roast pork and pea pods was solid. The grand dook shrimp is a little like a Kung pao shrimp, but I would say it has more garlic and chili's than a typical Kung pao. The braised duck also included pork and shrimp along with tender braised duck along with various Chinese vegetables. All three dishes were very good and, I highly recommend getting some of their chili sauce."

"Good food, good service for a large group, and definitely had that classic, old school , Chinese restaurant vibe! My partner and I were invited to met up with some friends and acquaintances for dinner. I am so glad we were able to make it and had such a wonderful evening out. Good food and good conversations and the host picked this awesome spot. It made for a lovely Saturday evening and met some new friends. Parking appeared to be limited to the lot size. We arrived at the perfect time and found a spot while others took a bit more time to get a spot. There were 10 of us dining in total with about 6 different checks. The server did a good job keeping up with the orders but there was in mix up with one concerning the wrong order being charged to the wrong card. That was creatively fixed and it can happen in a large group with multiple checks. The food was absolutely delicious. I had potstickers $6.50), an egg roll $1.85), and sesame chicken $12.25). All very yummy with good flavor. Only critiques were that they chicken potstickers but we didn 't ask and nothing was said), and the sesame chicken only had sesame seeds on half my order. Wasn 't really an issue as the food was good. My partner enjoyed the Triple Delight $13.25) with chicken, beef, and shrimp. I would say The Golden Phoenix is great for single dining, two people, or a family. I would also add they handle large groups really well as in addition to our group of 10, there was also a 40th Birthday party at the same time, with a pretty full restaurant. I recommend grabbing a meal here and would come back for another visit. In addition to the good food, I also want to highlight that we did not feel rushed at all. We dinned there for roughy 2 1/2 hours enjoy the food and conversations and the restaurant and staff were truly accommodating."

"Eating is so great. We chose our hotel. I love that you can sit at the bar, drink a beer and eat a large plate of spaghetti. Many table seats too. Food was good, well traveled. Bruschetta was soggy, but I expected that because of the take-out drive."

"The waiter relayed my request to the chef, who was sitting nearby. To my shock, the chef flatly refused to prepare anything else, insisting that he didn’t want the food to go to waste, despite my concerns about the egg foo young getting cold. I listened in disbelief as they discussed this right in front of me. The waiter returned with the food, and I told him I had overheard everything. I found the chef's behavior rude and unacceptable, so I decided I didn’t want the food or anything else. I only agreed to pay for the egg roll and my drink, which I ended up taking to go because I couldn’t wait to leave. I am still in shock that I was told I couldn’t order what I wanted and that I had to settle for what was available, even though I was paying for the meal. I will never return to this restaurant or the lounge at the back, and I will not recommend it to anyone; I’ll be sharing my experience with everyone I know."

"I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and they even allowed us to bring our well-behaved little dog along. The cheeseburgers were absolutely delicious, and the prices were unbeatable. You definitely get more value for your money compared to restaurants in Omaha. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'm so glad this place was included on the Nebraska Pass! I would highly recommend stopping by to eat if you find yourself on the pass, and it's worth a visit even if you're just passing through the area."

"I've been visiting this restaurant for over 10 years. Tonight, I had the chicken cashew and an egg roll. The main dish was packed with flavor, and there was a generous amount of chicken, while the cashews were delightfully crunchy. The fried rice was bland, but that's expected. "The daytime bartender was an older woman who seemed quite indifferent. Fortunately, we arrived just before the shift change, which worked in our favor. The new bartender/server greeted us promptly and asked what we would like right away, while the older woman barely acknowledged us. There were four of us, and I was ready to leave, but my wife noticed the new server and reassured me that we wouldn't have to deal with the older bartender. I agreed, and I’m glad I did. The new bartender did a great job handling both her responsibilities and our service. The food was good, and the service was solid. However, if we come back and the older woman is still there, we’ll likely choose to leave."

"A Man Party?. It 's Fathers Day, and I get to pick where we get to eat. (Woo! Hoo! I want Chinese! Which everybody loves, although I think they 'd really rather have Thai (which I normally like better as well, but I was really Jones 'en for some Egg Foo Young . But ever faithful, Hurray , is the chorus from the masses known as my family, so we all piled in the truck and came to Aw Dang, which I had been wanting to try for a while. They had a buffet, which I guess is a weekend regularity, but like I said, I was wanting Egg Foo Young, and I really wanted to get a feel for the menu. And this one didn 't disappoint. All the traditional Chinese I 'd come to know and love was on here. General So 's, Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Chop Suey, Happy Family, on and on finally a full blown Chinese menu. Ah, memories of San Francisco. The family ate buffet, but I ordered my requisite Egg Foo Young, and everyone enjoyed every bite. Another pleasant surprise was the wines. They didn 't have a lot of choices, but what they did have was wines I was familiar with and could easily enjoy with my meal. And at $5.00 a glass, very affordable. Service was bright and friendly, although it started off a little rough as our waitress was genuinely surprised that I didn 't want buffett. But she recovered gracefully enough, and the evening continued without incident. And while I know that Aw Dang is tongue in cheek in nature, I believe it can be loosely translated (phonetically to mean A Man Party in Mandarin Chinese. And I believe Aw Dang is as good a place as any for this worthy purpose. (I think the ladies will love it just as much, though!!!"
