"This was my first visit to any Famous Dave 's. I walked in on a Tuesday evening through the To Go door- which I might add is a genius idea! You can order at a counter and wait for your food, order online or over the phone and pick it up through this entrance. To the right is the hostess stand for those patrons that will be dining in. Everyone was very pleasant when I walked in. I was greeted by a young man (maybe HS/early college age). He greeted me and asked if he could take my order- when I told him I 've never been here before and was looking for recommendations- he appeared to be excited to share the menu and walk me through the most popular items. I eventually decided on the 2- meat combo (pictured) choosing the Famous Ribs Pulled Pork accompanied by 2 sides (coleslaw mashed potatoes), and all meals finish with a Corned Bread muffin. If you look at the picture you can tell I was eager to jump in prior to taking a picture. The Ribs- the best I 've had in a LONG time- they fell off the bone, were perfectly smoked and could taste in each bite. The pulled pork was cooked very well- with just enough juice, spices, and BBQ sauce. The often forgotten- sides...The coleslaw was a creamy coleslaw- which is my preference and was very good. I 'm not a huge mashed potato fan, but thought I would give them a shot- I was not let down- they were really tasty. Rounding out this incredible meal was one of the better cornbread muffins I 've had. It wasn 't dry at all- very tasty. Overall, if you are in the Waldorf area and are a fan of BBQ I would highly recommend Dave 's Bar-B-Que. I only got a glimpse of the dine-in restaurant, but from what I saw, it looked very clean, well put together, well decorated, and an overall great ambiance for any group of people."

"My family and I haven't been here since we lived in Rochester, New York and that one closed which nobody understood since they were doing really well. Appetizer- My son wanted cheese sticks, but they don't send them. So he had cheese curds with a sauce on the side and he liked them. I ate one and they were good. Drinks- I ordered a strawberry lemonade and my son had mango lemonade. Both lemonades were really great and refreshing. Entree- I ordered potato salad and collard greens for my sides and rib tips and fish. My son ordered chopped pork and chicken. His sides were French fries and broccoli. He enjoyed the broccoli, but left the fries. Everything was great, just too much food. My son took his chopped pork home and I took almost my entire entree home."

"The food was disappointing, and the service was even worse. We were celebrating my son's 17th birthday at his favorite restaurant—Famous Dave's, which he has visited every year for the past 12 years. Unfortunately, this will be his last visit, as he has vowed never to return. At his age, he recognized that we were ignored and received overcooked, bland meals that were served cold. While my drink from the bar was enjoyable, it didn't make up for the overall experience."

"I heard that they have a new general manager, so the food has greatly improved at this restaurant. Their burnt ends and Texas style brisket are both delicious. They offer three sauces, but all of them are a bit too sweet for my taste. Luckily, the brisket is so good that it doesn't really need sauce. The banana pudding dessert portion is huge and tasty. If you're taking the brisket to go, make sure to ask them to skip the piece of toast they put under the meat, as it can make the brisket dry before you get home. They also have a fantastic Rewards program and daily happy hour specials."

"The holiday tea at Local Jones was extremely disappointing. I knew it was going to be expensive $55 each) but decided it would be worth it for a special holiday gift for my friend. The space is basically a bar area within a hotel. I realize that the holidays are behind us but I expected something a bit more festive. Classic rock was playing at a volume that interfered with easy conversation, and it really didn’t fit the vibe of a holiday tea. The food was okay but certainly not worth $55. It is a fixed menu with 4 small savory items and 4 small sweet items per person. I failed to notice that most of the savory items had meat which I do not eat. The server did ask if we had any dietary restrictions but I thought she meant allergies. This was my fault, but I also expected more diversity of selections. The scones were amazing. The other two sweet items were good but not great. When the server checked on us and I said I couldn’t eat the savory items she said they could have made a substitute if I had mentioned it earlier but there was nothing to be done at this time. Again my fault, but again this was $55 per person. Also, we were never offered champagne which the website description suggested was included. It was also disappointing when we received the bill that service charges for using a credit card and to support the kitchen staff had been included. After including these charges and a tip for our server our afternoon of sipping tea, listening to classic rock and enjoying two scones set me back over $160. Definitely not worth it."

"It was Father 's day so a bit of a delay expected, but we had reservations for lunch at 3:30, when we arrived they said lots of people had reservations and we are short staffed so they just put everyone on a walk in list after saying 15 mins. 45 minutes later we were seated, missing the lunch window. Then, when the food did come out it was small and was not good : the Sausage was excellent, Mac good, brisket okay, pulled pork nasty parts at bottom of heap that should have been thrown away, not served for consumption . I am sorry about the short staff, but treating customers this way with poor service and worse, poor food, isn 't the answer...next time say sorry, offer a free appetizer as a small token, honor lunch, make sure food you do serve is worthy of your name."

"I've been there 3 times and it seems like the quality keeps dropping. No complaints with the work staff. They were friendly and professional. The ribs were extremely tender and falling off the bone. As if they were first boiled, then thrown on the grill tosmoke for a bit. The ribs were not seasoned and very bland. I was not impressed with the sauce. It's like it wasn't properlymixed or something. The baked beans were the worst I've had. Same for the fries. Just plain bland."

"Poor quality of food. The ribs were dry and not hot. The other meats were the same. The bbq sauce didn't even help. The sides were good. Service was ok. Not much for them to do. I was excited about trying a different place. But, the restaurant I went to in El Paso was 10 times better. So, I had a recent comparison. Very disappointed and the wife didn't like the fact that I didn't say something in the store. I was bummed and didn't want to deal with the situation. My bad."

"Consistently good food, no matter what amount! We ordered deluxe baby back package and added several ala cart items for Memorial Day lunch with family. The whole order was carefully compiled and everything was fresh and ready to go when we picked up. They even threw in a small ice cooler (we had coolers). All from 8 to 91 enjoyed the food and all came back for seconds. Thanks to Rib City, and all your friendly and helpful staff!"

"Saturday, 5/13/2023 Had lunch at Buckhorn BBQ today. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as Save Mart, Zocalo, Menchie's and other businesses. Uopn arrival:Pros:1) lots of parking! But boy is it packed. We were stalking for people leaving so we can park in their spot. Lol2) when you walk in, you walk right up to the counter to order. They have a nice, large, menu posted right behind the cashier counter. You can't miss it. 3) lots of food options to pick from. 4) there is a beverage and sauce section where you can grab them yourself. 5) there's a bar.6) tables were woody looking. Perry cool.7) tables, chairs, counters, utensils were all clean. 8) our rib was pretty good. Sweet potatoe fries were cooked good. Not too oily or overly dry. Little one loved her sandwich dipped in sauce. 9) bathroom clean10) to go boxes are located next to the drink counter. Cons: 1) noneConclusion:We had a good experience here. Staffs were all very nice. We had two that asked us if we needed anything to let them know. Bathroom clean. Foods good. Sauces good. I'd go here again."

"Came here for an early weekend dinner. "I will never order from this restaurant again. After calling right when the restaurant opened at 11 o'clock for a 12 o'clock pick up, the order was 50 minutes late. On top of that when I called to check on the order to see why it wasn't ready because I had a friend picking it up, I was hung up on four times. Twice they put me on hold, only never to return and eventually the phone disconnected. When I finally refused to be put on hold and talk to an actual person they were the rudest rudest person ever."

"July 23rd, 2022. Place was empty, came in with a party of 14 for my brother in law?s birthday. The woman who greeted us at the door (I think her name was Jennifer) very clearly was not happy so she stated she?d give us to a different server. She went to the back, came back out front and said ?never mind I guess you?ll be in my section? in a very rude tone. I said ?oh don?t worry, we?re nice,? to which she replied, ?I don?t care, do you guys tip?? I assured her she?d be taken care of since my sister and I are servers and we all tip well because we know the industry. I was already annoyed, but this was our second restaurant we had been to. Throughout the whole meal she gave everyone at the table attitude or an eye roll at one point. When I asked for a refill on my Pibb (it would have been my 3rd) she opened up her eyes wide as if 3 is a ridiculous number of drinks. When it came time for the checks, everything was split incorrectly, which took about 10-15 minutes to adjust. We waited a very long time for our food (about an hour) but since we were a big party we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Only good part was everyone seemed to enjoy their food. As I said, I am a server. In the beginning of our meal, our server complained about their restaurant being slow and implied she needed a job elsewhere. I can?t understand how someone who is apparently struggling for money would complain about getting a big party then continue to give us bad service. Take advantage of the opportunity to make your money!!! I let my nephew choose her tip amount, and let me say she is lucky he is a generous tipper at the age of 6. Her attitude needs a HUGE adjustment. I love Rib City, and this was my first time at this location, but I can guarantee I will not be back."

"Delicious!!! We visited this restaurant for a meeting after a friend's recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The staff greeted us with warm smiles, making us feel right at home. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer served with Basmati rice, as well as butter naan and garlic naan. Everything was flavorful and excellent, and the service was impressive as well. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning to this restaurant."

"would give 5 stars if they were actually open when they say they are. that seems to be a big problem. the personal is a problem everywhere. but, if they are already closed 2 days the week, then I feel as the owner of a business, then they should work there even the other 5 days when they are low on the staff. the one you never do? you have no chance! but, apart from a Friday night before 3 weeks, this load was closed 4 different times that we order in the last 2 weeks on days, their website says they are open. Nobody answers the phone. considering that they are a franchise location and still run in pandemic hours (after website, only 5 hours a day, allegedly 5 days in the week, but I know that they are not even open 5 days in the week I am really surprised that they have not cracked their franchise license."

"When we arrived said we had booked with Open Table, we were told they don’t use open table. The restaurant was not busy so we were seated. The staff was very nice service was quick friendly. The food was mediocre. The Texas brisket was ok at best, but not as good as expected. We had eaten here several years prior while on vacation we remembered it being much better. "My recent experience at this establishment was disappointing to say the least, despite having dined here numerous times without incident. On this occasion, we ordered a half-pound of pulled pork to-go, only to discover upon arriving home that we had been given sliced pork instead. Who orders just sliced pork?? This was very frustrating as sliced pork was not what we ordered or expected. Fortunately, after contacting the restaurant, they corrected the mistake and provided the correct order, which we appreciated. However, I strongly recommend that others carefully review their to-go orders before leaving to ensure accuracy. Although the error was rectified, this experience was less than satisfactory, and I have adjusted my rating accordingly."
