"I recently visited Shane’s BBQ to place a to go order and inquire about placing a catering order. Upon entering, I was greeted by two gentlemen in Shane’s t-shirts who seemed to be from corporate. After waiting a few minutes, no cashier ever came to assist, so instead of placing the to-go order I intended to place, I left and went to the bbq restaurant down the street. After calling their catering number and leaving a voicemail on Wednesday and not getting a callback by Monday, I called again and spoke with their catering personnel, who was pleasant and made the process easy. I provided my pick-up time and card number over the phone and was told my card would be charged on the morning of the pick-up date. Upon arrival, I found that my catering order had not been submitted. Although my order was simple, it still caused confusion. I waited 20 minutes while the staff made my order on the spot. I texted the catering manager to ask if she had placed the order but did not call, assuming she wasn’t working over the weekend. The staff at the restaurant eventually made the order, I paid there, and I left. No apologies were extended at the restaurant and unfortunately, I never received a follow-up, which was probably the most disappointing part. I am realistic about human error however this disregard is noted in my mind as showing a lack of respect for my time. I’m not swearing off this restaurant—I’ve lived in Peachtree Corners for years and eat here probably 2 times a year. I’m sure the staff members are good people and I’m just one person with little to no impact on their business —but before visiting again and most definitely before placing another catering order or recommending others to do the same, I’ll think twice."

"We walked in at 7:30pm on a Friday night and they already had the chairs up on the tables. So we asked what time do they close. The girl behind the counter said 9:00pm so we were a little confused. So we proceeded to order our food for dine in. Then my husband got made a mixture of sweet tea and peach tea as he always does. We sat down to eat and a young girl with her hair pulled up came to our table and asked did we get any tea. My husband said yes and told her what kind so she proceeded to tell him that she was going to refill his drink so she could wash the tub out. So she took his cup and filled it with the bottom of the barrel sweet tea. We were very confused thinking that she was making fresh tea for him but that definitely was not the case. So then he went ahead and drank the tea that she gave him. Then he wanted a refill so I asked could he get some more tea and the response was that they didn’t have any more tea. So the other girl said hold on and she brought back an unsweetened tea and a sweet tea in two cups and said he could mix those and left it on the table. There was cussing going on in the kitchen and the two girls left kept asking each other what time it was. Needless to say we felt very uncomfortable and rushed even though we got there early. The food is always good but the staff this time really was really rude in my eyes. Other people came in and I guess they couldn’t have tea rather. I don’t know but it was very disappointing considering we really like to come here. Hmmm."

"This location really let me down. I waited to post a review because the first time I figured an employee was a having a bad day, the second time I was having a bad day, but by the fifth time without a remarkable experience just has me down. I had made a formal complaint at the time and have waited months, no response. It really makes you feel like there is no accountability or real customer service within the chain. I'll review based on this last experience. My partner and I had come in about 2 and a half hours before they closed for a quick bite. We both had long days and figured bbq would be an easy meal. We both liked Shane's from other locations and figured we'd try this one again. We had no idea that was a poor decision. We ordered and there was one person ahead of us. I'm sure they had to go orders they were working on as well, regardless, when we saw the first, second and third family behind us get their food before us and a few to go orders go though, we had to say something. It had been an hour. No real explain or apology, just a passive, I'll check and it'll be out soon. We presented the receipt as they could find the order. When we did get our food it was burnt okra, tough (almost microwaved) textured meat, room temp stew, etc etc. Anyway, after not hearing about it, I figured it was finally time to leave my review. I was hoping for a refund that night as it took over an hour to prepare two plates. But no. Then I hoped it would have been rectified in private via email and phone call, again no. Just disappointed. We'll just have to make it a treat when we are out of town."

"memorial day experience ever. I had recently brought shane to the office for our physicist and our staff. I thought it would be nice to treat the children to the bbq for the holiday. I ordered curbside pickup. Although I arrived early, I went on and informed her that I was there. I said they would bring it out if it was ready. I waited 40 minutes. someone has pulled up in less than 5 minutes with a super huge order. So I'm going in to ask for my order. a young lady goes back and asks about my order, a young man screams rudely of course I have no command for her, why should I? as if I should not be served. that was very rude, almost racist. they tell me that they are from one of the articles and are not able to fill the order. they didn't offer alternatives, so I'm asking for a manager. they find out that she was here for the whole interaction, but just hadn't spoken. they offer a refund, but refuse to make all food. they pretended to have seen me on the parking lot and found that I had not earned to serve at their facility. they would have cleaned and closed the whole load, then they let me wait on the parking lot. I spoke to Mark by phone that he was general manager. his only solution was a refund. he did not seem to care and kept cold asking what they want me to do and acting as if he did not care. after that the employee told me that brand is also the owner. instead of calling or informing me when I called. they wanted me to sit on the parking lot for over 40 minutes while other restaurants were close because they knew they didn't want to serve me."

"During my most recent visit for a late lunch, I decided to order the 2-meat plate with an upcharge for baby back ribs (which only consisted of 3 bones). My second meat was supposed to be brisket. The plate also came with two sides and I ordered a drink, totaling a whopping $30. Despite the high price, I did not cancel my order and request a refund because there was someone waiting behind me to order. The brisket resembled pulled pork and had an odd flavor more suited for pot roast. It lacked any smoky BBQ taste, but it was tender enough to eat with the BBQ sauce. The ribs were dry and tough in spots with a distasteful flavor. The meal was not worth the price, especially when both meats fell short in quality. I asked for a replacement on the ribs, which the employee promptly replaced. The new ribs were a night and day difference - tender and flavorful. As I finished my meal, the employee asked if the new ribs were better. I confirmed that they were, and expressed my disappointment with the previous ribs. To my surprise, the employee mentioned that they may have been leftovers from the day before. I was left speechless by this revelation and immediately decided to delete the app and vow to never return to this establishment. I typically order takeout and the thought of receiving subpar food at home would have been unacceptable. In the future, I will make the extra effort to drive further for a better dining experience. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of restaurant ratings and the quality of the food being served."
