"Historically we have had great experiences at C&E, however this Sunday brunch left a lot to be desired mainly due to service. We made a reservation and were seated at a small table next to a very large group instead of one of the multiple (and more private) booths (which remained unseated for nearly an hour). Our waiter was basically non-existent. He barely spoke above a whisper and displayed zero enthusiasm about being there. There was no explanation of the drinks offered beyond water nor any input on the food menu. Once food was served, there was no return to the table to check on us or to remove the tableware no longer needed. We even built a mountain of appetizer plates, main dishes and silverware in the middle of our tiny table to help. Beverage refills were offered only after the meal was finished. If the restaurant/waiter was overly busy, I could be more understanding, however I watched our waiter clear and clean 2 nearby tables for over 5 minutes before he walked off and still didn’t check in with us."
