I understand they have to make batches, but even our waitress mentioned that she struggles with portions, which was a bit disappointing. If we ordered the table-side guacamole for an extra charge, it shouldn’t be about skimping on portions; it feels like they’re limiting the experience. Even a simple option to order something other than the pre-made guacamole would be nice, especially considering we went for the table-side version!
Overall, the food is generally quite good. However, today the carnitas were very dry, and the chicharrón taco was just a drier version of the same meat, so it wasn't the best day for those dishes. On the other hand, the chicken milanesa, which can be hard to find, was excellent, and the fried potatoes made a great side dish.
I'm not sure why my carnitas dinner platter didn't meet expectations while my girlfriend’s did, but I was glad hers turned out well. This place is always a fun outing, and the food is generally quite good. They even welcomed us with our dog, who was part of our day out. Give it a try; it’s definitely worth it. As the server would say, "Until tomorrow? Why not!""
