"My friend and I popped in at The Dogwood for Happy Hour to check it out after a friend of hers recommended it. The place looked large with several indoor and outdoor areas, but for the most part, there weren 't many people there: Fortunately, the indoor area was air conditioned, while lots of natural light poured into the many windows. It 's a bit unpolished industrial garage-ish in decor, intentionally so, with two full bars, which, I imagine, would be convenient when this place is packed. One thing that was annoying the entire time we were there is the sleeves of my shirt kept sticking to the table. Sticky tables... ick. As for the food, I ordered the tater tots, because the description sounded good. While the tots themselves were delicious, the bacon pieces tasted very off as though they 'd been cooked in rancid oil, and I had to spit the pieces out. On the other end of the spectrum, the Texas BBQ Burger was absolutely outrageously delicious! Our server was very friendly and perfectly attentive. Would I return? Probably not, simply because it 's just not my vibe... but I just might try to get that burger again. I wonder if they DoorDash? :"
