"I ordered and paid through their website and received a designated pick-up time. It’s fantastic that they offer PayPal as a payment option, which saves me from having to pull out my card. They even texted me to let me know when my food would be ready, so I waited in my car. Initially, I waited 45 minutes before it was supposed to be ready, then nearly an additional 15. When I went inside to check, I learned that I was supposed to call them upon arrival to get my order. I expected a text notification when my food was ready or for them to bring it out, especially since they requested a description of my car. This process seems a bit new and varies from place to place, so I'm sharing this to help others know what to expect.
Later, I noticed they had emailed me with instructions to call upon arrival, which was frustrating at first, but I realized they attempted to communicate effectively—I just wasn’t accustomed to receiving both a text and an email. I'm not sure if that’s typically how long the wait is, or if I just picked a busy time (especially given the impacts of Covid on staffing and supplies). I recommend ordering ahead of time to avoid any delays!
The restaurant does have indoor dining available as well. My order came packaged in a brown paper bag with two Styrofoam boxes, alongside a packet containing a fork, knife, napkin, salt and pepper, and plenty of butter, plus two syrups (though I would have asked for an extra). I wish I had taken a photo to see what was included. In the future, I might request an additional container of syrup. While there could have been clearer communication regarding this, the staff was gracious about it. They even offered to remake my order, which showed their kindness. Fortunately, my food was still warm, and I felt there was no need to waste good food!
I've always wanted to visit this restaurant because of their commitment to the community. I genuinely hope they succeed—let's support this business!"
